Asked about check in a lil early because last renter seemed to be checking out 1&1/2 days before. Agent kindly agreed. When we text 1/2 hr before 2 pm arrival, as requested, agent said unit wasn’t ready because of huge mess previous renters left. We waited for about an hour during which time the agent told us the cleaners forgot to text her they had finished at 11 a.m. that morning. In addition, the key code and directions had never been sent to us. She said she sent them in “the first text”. There was nothing. We waited. Then, she said they weren’t sent “for some reason”. There were no bar soaps, so first thing, we had to buy some and Kleenex, because we weren’t told it wasn’t provided. Also told 4 rolls TP would be there. There were two full and two less than halves. We were told the housekeeper would bring more. They didn’t. We found a more than inch long beatle by the master bedroom door. Pic sent. Possibly a fluke/no big deal. Multiple items were “broken”. On deck two dragon fly pillows with huge rips. Broken flagpole. Crumbling grill cover. Nice elec grill though. Etc.Dryer was a fire hazard, huge pile of lint pulled out and all could not be removed. Pic sent. Small wet throw rugs were still wet in dryer from previous renters laundry done by maids. Smelled like mold. A broken shade blocked the kitchen’s view. When beds were broken down, the master bedrooms mattress cover had a stain and there was a two sided stain on the mattress itself. Pics sent.

We had a wonderful stay at Paradise at the Lake. SML is so relaxing and beautiful. The condo was decorated in such a welcoming vacation lake vibe. Everything was clean and tidy. We loved having coffee every morning on the deck looking out to the lake. The furniture was comfy and everything we needed was right there. Thank you so much for a great vacation.

Great property! Very quiet, relaxing, and scenic. We really enjoyed the balcony and pool. The nearby beach area made it easy to use our kayaks to explore the lake.

The Most Amazing View on the Lake !

We had an amazing weekend at the lake . The view out of the sliding doors and off the patio will take your breath away. We spent all day on the lake and docking your boat is super convenient and easy here. We can’t wait to come back. Thank you for an amazing stay!

Beautiful Views and Great Accomodations

The view and the porch are amazing. We stayed on the porch and just relaxed and looked at the boats coming in and out a lot of the time. The kitchen and bathrooms are well stocked and everything was very clean. The property is so beautiful and access to the water was very simple. We enjoyed paddleboarding on the calm cove.

Thank you Trish for accommodating our last minute rental request. The property has beautiful views of the lake . Met all our needs. Not the cleanest VBRO I’ve rented and had much of the owners personal items that I actually picked one spot for our items to be so we did not leave anything behind.

Love Bernard’s!

Bernard’s landing is great, and this particular building is a favorite of our family! This apartment had a bit of unnecessary (in my opinion) decor and kitchen equipment, which made it tricky to find what you need and to keep track of your own stuff. That was a little stressful. Also needed to rewash towels as they smelled of smoke. Patricia responded kindly when I let her know about this. Be sure to bring your own toilet paper. (Only two rolls are provided-per the contract.)

Great location, unit could use some work

We had a great visit to the area and truly think the value of this unit is in the amenities (we used the pool, beach area, and pickle ball courts) and the balcony facing the lake was beautiful. Unfortunately the inside of the condo was more cluttered than expected, and rather than feeling like a space created to be a rental, it felt like the owners left for the weekend and we were just staying there. There were random items in the living room, expired food in the fridge, and it felt like there were so many items/decorations out and shut away in cabinets that the home didn’t really feel clean (we noticed dust, food stuck on dishes, towels smelled like smoke) and more. We ended up having a fine stay, but for the amount of money we paid we would expect the unit to be more cleanly and catered towards renters.
