Exclusiva y espaciosa cabaña de troncos de tres niveles en un entorno magnífico en el río Wisconsin, a 20 minutos de Spring Green, o 65 minutos de Madison. Esta propiedad frente al río ofrece impresionantes vistas desde los tres niveles de la casa, tanto aguas arriba como aguas abajo, con cubiertas en los lados este, sur y oeste. We were delighted with this cabin on the river. The location was so peaceful. Everything was very clean and tastefully decorated with style. As far as help, Sandy and Rick were present to answer questions What a pleasure to meet them and obtain useful information. It is on our list to return again.

Rick & Sandy were welcoming and gracious hosts. Their property on the Wisconsin River is beautiful. The chalet is clean with a well stocked kitchen & bathroom. We enjoyed bird life on the deck, warm outdoor fires & beauty of the river. We hope to stay again!

The place was very clean and very beautiful. You could not ask for a better view. The host was very kind showing us everything we needed to know. The ONLY thing that we didn’t know was how close the house was to the main road through town. Pretty noisy. Other than that we had a wonderful time.

River getaway

We enjoyrd relaxing while watching the river flow outside the chalet. Great location for seeing the area parks for hiking and local attractions.

This was our third stay at the Riverside Chalet. It is beginning to feel like home away from home! Sandy, our host, is always so kind and communicates so well. The property is homey and lovely and has everything we could need. Bird watching here has launched a new past time for me! We could not ask for a better place to stay while we are on our annual meet up with friends.

Can't say enough about this place and the owners. Perfect for getting away and enjoying seclusion while only being 20min from Spring Green amenities. Canoeing on the river was magical, cant wait to return!!

Wonderful, relaxing getaway!!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The place was clean, the hosts were kind with good communication, and the views were wonderful! The place is well-stocked with thoughtful details and it's nicely decorated. We loved watching the birds on the deck, fishing in a little opening on the shoreline and all the indoor seating options with a view! They even added a nice screen porch in the lower level which is great addition! Like many places, there's minor maintenance things, road noise as mentioned and more stairs than expected but none of them impacted our stay. Overall, we really enjoyed a relaxing getaway!

Relax and Unwind by the River

Sandy met us right at the expected time. She was warm and friendly, and made us feel right at home. The house has a beautiful view of the river, which we enjoyed while eating on the deck. The accomodations were perfect for us. It had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend, and Sandy was the perfect host!

Sister trip 2024

we take a yearly sister trip, which is enjoyed dearly however this year we were 1 sister short instead of 5 we had 4 because one sister passed away earlier this year, we made the best of it and this was truly the best place for reminiscing and relaxing.

Extended Vacation

My wife and I were traveling back home and were looking for a place to stay to extend our vacation. This property was perfect for us as we love the great outdoors. A beautiful cabin right on the river. Had a great time inside and outside.

Wonderful chalet !

My wife and I were in the area for Spring Green activities. We really enjoyed our stay. Sandy met us at check in and made sure were aware of where to find light switches, fans, etc. Sandy was quick to communicate at all times. Awesome view of the river and really enjoyed the birds. Would stay again without question.

Lovely place!

We were in the area for a wedding so we didn’t get to do much else besides the activities surrounding that, but this cottage provided the rest and downtime we needed. Slept like a baby! I appreciated the delicious coffee and stocked kitchen. Thank you!

Wonderful stay tight on the river

My wife and I had a great time staying at this beautiful cabin. We were right on the river, and had front row seats to seeing the wildlife (including two eagles!) Very easy to check in and check out, kitchen is well set up as well. Fire pit and grill are also easy to use. All in all, we had a very relaxing and wonderful time. Thanks for letting us enjoy the cabin!

Road Trip to Driftless Area with Great Stay at the Chalet

The Chalet was just beautiful with the view of the river and all the birds on the property. The cabin was cozy and welcoming with lovely antique furniture but all the modern conveniences. The hosts think of everything to make it a great stay.

We are Rick and Sandy Gruber. We have lived in our home in the country by Spring Green, WI, for the last 35 years. Rick is a do it yourselfer and can do electrical, plumbing, carpentry and fix any mechanical problem there is. He is newly retired and hoping to get a lot of fishing in. Sandy is also retired. She enjoys gardening, meeting new people, spending time and traveling with friends. We also are big dog lovers and have owned English Springer Spaniels for about 30 years!

This 1750 sq. ft. cozy riverside chalet, originally constructed in the 1940s, is completely furnished and features 300 feet of river frontage, a master bedroom in the loft, a deck overlooking the river, beds downstairs, a full kitchen, cozy propane fireplace, an outdoor firepit, and a natural spring running through the yard. Set on one acre, the property offers stunning views from just about every room in the house as well as easy access to the river.
