Nuestra pequeña y encantadora casa cuenta con un plano de planta abierto con cocina y comedor combinados con una habitación familiar para una vida fácil. El dormitorio principal cuenta con una cama queen size, mientras que el segundo dormitorio ofrece una cama doble y una cama completa. Un baño compartido cuenta con una combinación de bañera / ducha, mientras que el segundo baño tiene una ducha. Una lavadora, secadora y lavaplatos completan la vida simple en el interior, mientras que un patio en la parte posterior ofrece tiempo al sol y una parrilla de gas. Un solo puerto para automóviles ofrece refugio para su vehículo.

Great location and great host. Super accommodating to what we needed. Spacious for our group of 4 adults. Quiet and well established neighborhood close to many things, such as Siesta Key and Detweiler’s Market. Beach towels, chairs, umbrella and cooler available for our use. Nice outdoor seating area and BBQ. Would definitely stay here again!

The house was emaculate and the host was extremely accomodatining. Also the location is perfect. Walking distance to many restaurants and 5 minutes to Siesta Key beaches. I will definitely recommend this property to family and friends.

Great little house.

Local was great, close to beach, restaurants and everything Sarasota. House was very clean and had everything needed, especially towels. Less than a 10 minute drive to Siesta Keys beach, 20 minutes to downtown area. Having 2 bathrooms for this size house was definitely a big plus.

Excellent home away from home!

Nestled in safe, quiet, beautiful Gulf Gate, this lovely home is less than 10 minute drive to Siesta Beach. Many shops and amenities within 1 mile.Property itself was lovely! Spotless and tidy. Nice swing out front, a lanai out back and backyard both with seating areas. House had everything we needed and more: 2 bikes, camping chairs, large cooler on wheels & beach towels. 2 lg bedrooms, master w/ king bed, 2nd w/ a double and a single. Both rooms had large closets. 2 bathrooms which thankfully had some extra toiletries in case yours explode in your suitcase as ours did!Full kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, all utensils, dishes, etc.. Washer, dryer, large seating areas and Alexa speaker. Host leaves easy to follow instructions on the kitchen table, access to the unit was a breeze.Rick, our host, was truly the best host we have ever experienced. There was an unpredictable breakdown of the AC unit (which had previously been working fine). We messaged him and he responded within minutes. He had the unit replaced in record time on a holiday weekend! His communication was excellent, he made sure we were not inconvenienced for 1 second and he was extrememly fair and generous with price as a result of this small unavoidable event. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and noted multiple times that it felt like home. We have friends who live in the area that were equally impressed. Highly recommend & will stay again on next trip to Sarasota!

Family visit

Very comfortable, clean, and well equipped. We enjoyed the front porch and back patio area.Good area to walk in. Felt very safe. Would stay there again. The host was very accommodating and quick to respond to any questions or concerns.

Half Moon review

We very much enjoyed our stay at Half Moon. We were here for the month of February. The neighborhood is a quiet, well kept area. It is easy access to restaurants, stores, and Siesta Key. Half Moon has everything you need to enjoy your stay. This is the most well stocked place we have stayed at in Sarasota. Rick is a very responsive host.

Ok but outdated and dusty

The property was more rundown and dusty then I expected it to be. They did have lots of things like blankets and kitchen items but I would not stay here again.

Gulf Gate visit

This is an older property in a nice area with lots of activities nearby. It has everything you need for a stay. If you're looking for new and shiny, this is not the property. If you don't mind an older property, this worked well. Primarily used is as a place to sleep in between rounds of golf. Beds were comfortable, 2nd bath is a bit rustic but worked just fine. Rick was very responsive.

What a great little get away!

We had a wonderful stay at this beach-themed home! The property was impeccably clean, and the decor truly created a relaxing, coastal atmosphere. The location was perfect for us, just a short distance from our daughter, who had just welcomed her second baby. It made visiting so easy and convenient. The home had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and we felt right at home. Highly recommend this lovely spot for anyone looking for a peaceful, well-located getaway. The Host has every intention of making your stay a great experience.

Amazing month

The Halfmoon house was one of the best places we have stayed at. Gulf gate is a wonderful area with great neighborhood and lots of restaurants and shops so close by. The house was so nicely decorated and everything we needed to plus lots of extras. We really enjoyed the backyard with so much privacy. Can't say enough nice things about our landlord who let us check in early. Don't hesitate to book this home for a great vacation. Also very close to beaches and a great farmer's market!

Very comfortable and quiet

Rick was extremely accommodating and always available for issues or questions. The house was clean and comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet and very well kept. I would stay there again.

Great place in Gulf Gate

My family and I stayed 3 nights at Rick’s place. It was clean, comfortable, and close to Siesta Key. Rick provided great instructions and check in was easy. The house was filled with supplies to take care of all our needs. We had a great experience and would definitely stay here again.

Cozy, Comfy and Clean!

We so enjoyed staying at the Half Moon house! It was very comfortable, cozy and clean! There were many personal touches and useful things to use for the beach. We have had some "unfortunate" experiences at other properties we have stayed at, so, Kudos to the cleaning crew here. We appreciated the good job they did. Rick, the owner, was a wonderful, responsive and friendly communicator. The neighborhood was nice and felt very safe. It is convenient to the beach, shopping and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again!

Graduation weekend getaway

I came to Sarasota to celebrate my nephew's graduation from high school in Gulf Gate Estates. We were able to enjoy beaches in the area, restaurants, and the calm quiet neighborhood. The house was clean and fresh, with plenty of sleeping and lounging space, equipped with everything you might need. We did buy our own food and enjoy it there. We enjoyed the backyard space in the early morning in the lush Florida greenery. Whether or not you are in and out going places, or you just want to lay back and read for hours doing nothing, this place is such a respite. The house is spread out so each guest can have his /her own space. We were very comfortable and I would recommend this place to anyone for its tropical feel, cleanliness, and open space. Instructions were clear and simple. Thank you to our host who made our stay relaxing and enjoyable.

Sweet Home Sarasota

The images of this lovely property are 100% accurate, but they do not completely capture the warmth of this roomy, sweet suburban home. The kitchen has lots of cupboards filled with anything you could need, even junk drawers. The open kitchen and living room layout is attractive and convenient. The sunroom and patio are appealing, but I am sad to say were rarely used, along with the grill, bikes, and more. The bedrooms have large closets and the master bedroom has a comfy bed. It's a quiet neighborhood too. Any questions are answered in the detailed instructions left by the hosts. And this house is close to everything! Everything. Minutes away you have many small international restaurants on Gateway Ave. There is a Publix less than five minutes away. Going on a boat cruise or a trolley tour, get there quickly. Main Street, St. Armands Circle, and theaters are within 15 minutes. The beach, didn't make it there, but close by too. You feel like you are home when you are here.

Perfect Spring Break Escape

So happy we chose to stay at the Half Moon House! Rick was a great host and immediately helped us with any questions we had. The neighborhood is quiet and the beds were very comfortable! The house was just the right size for our multigenerational group! Grandma loved it and so did the teenagers, which made this Mama happy! Everything was clean and the furniture was comfy for lounging in the evening. The patio was perfect for a morning cup of coffee and some quiet time for reading a good book. The house is centrally located which made it easy to get to all our favorite places in the area including St. Armand’s Circle, the mall at University Town Center, Venice and of course Siesta Key! I can’t wait to come back again!!

great location

The cozy home has everything you need for a great time at the beach. The bikes were a blast, you can ride around the very peaceful neighborhoods, or to the beach. The management made sure everything was prepared and available to answer any questions. Great restaurants nearby. My husband and I will definitely be back.

Great home away from home!

Great home in a quiet neighborhood. Close to shopping, restaurants, and beach. Host was very responsive before and during check-in, when the coffee pot leaked he delivered a new one that day. The house was very clean and the kitchen well equipped to prepare all of our meals (including a gas grill).

This neighborhood will let you fit right in with the locals. Easy drive or bike ride to Siesta Key. Close enough to the coast to enjoy those gentle sea breezes. Local shops, quaint bistros and pubs, a top rate Publix just down the street and favorite chain restaurants from Ruth's Chris to Long Horn to Mellow Mushroom Pizza. Close to all the best at a great price.
