Esta magnífica casa costera moderna es el lugar soñado de una familia. Está convenientemente ubicado al lado de la playa en un enclave cerrado e impresionante de hermosas casas de playa. Hay tortugas, peces y patos que los niños pueden alimentar y disfrutar de las cubiertas.

We absolutely loved Anchors Aweigh. The home was clean, deck was overlooking stocked pond, and the kids loved feeding the turtles from the deck. Private beach access was about a 2minute walk to water and beautiful. Gated community neighborhood was quiet and clean. Our family enjoys cooking together and the kitchen was great with a big island, we all had space to get meals ready! Short walk to shops and grocery store. I would highly recommend this property! We had the best time! Will definitely be back.

We had a great stay! Everything was clean and described perfectly. We had 3 families and everyone had a bed! We have stayed in this neighborhood for 5 years in a row and wouldn’t want to change a thing! A suggestion would be to add some hooks in the garage for beach chairs etc and possibly a garage fridge.

My family and I were pleased the vacation rental. It accommodated my immediate family and the location to church, shopping and restaurants was amazing. The initial property rental lead my family and I to believe the property walk out led directly to the beach. We would like one if those rentals for our Thanksgiving 2026 rental. The property we rented would be our option “B.” Great service!!!

Destin Luxury Beach rentals

I worked with Nancy from Destin Luxury Beach rentals directly. She was amazing and the positive impact she had on our family vacation will not be forgotten. Excellent property all around. VRBO had nothing to do with anything on this trip other than taking reservation and then promptly not adding it to trip, which forced me to go thru company directly, thankfully got Nancy to work with. If I could leave VRBO zero stars I would, and Destin Luxury Beach rentals would get the review.

10/10 Perfect Family Beach Vacation

This house was PERFECT for our family beach vacation. It is in a small gated community that is right on a private beach that is a 1 min walk through the neighborhood. House was clean and bright and had everything we need to make meals. Really enjoyed a dip in the small private pool after a day at the beach. Was fun to feed the turtles and fish off the deck every day too. 10/10 Highly Recommend!

Pros: Location was great. Very close to shopping, grocey stores and walking distance to the beach. We loved the lake front and feeding the turtles. Check in and check out instructions were very clear.Cons: Furniture needed cleaning. The sofa was very dirty. The bedroom upstairs with the bunkbeds needs a new mattress. Great trip

Stay was great. Awesome location. Bedroom downstairs was great except I couldn’t get the TV to work correctly. Couldn’t get any channels. Other rooms were great. Would definitely recommend to someone to stay at!

Family beach trip

We have stayed in Shipwatch several times. It is our favorite private beach. We had 6 adults and four kids. It did work out for us. Not room for anyone else. Nice beach chairs and toys. Response from management was great

Annual family vacation

We always have a great time on our family vacation. We liked the location of this house. It had a few technical malfunctions at first but the management was quick to provide repairs. Two misconceptions on the online advertisement. It sleeps 10 not 12. The "private" access to the beach is no different than the hotels down the beach with lines of umbrellas and chairs at the edge of the water. In fact when we put our chairs in front of empty chairs we were asked to move when the umbrella renters arrived. Otherwise, the management team was A+ and we enjoyed our stay.

Destin area beach stay with family of 10

It appears the listing has been updated to four bedrooms, but when we reserved the property, it mentioned that it was five bedrooms. There is a hallway type of bedroom with bunkbeds without a door that was inconvenient as the initial listing was misleading. Other than that, the property was nice. They were plenty of places for me and my family to sit. We enjoyed viewing and feeding the turtles and fish off of the deck. The small pool was nice but hardly used because we went to the ocean so much. everything worked as it was supposed to and they were plenty of fans for everyone staying. We enjoy our visit as this was located in a gated community with easy access to the beach.

Family Fun Time st the Veach

The property was lovely and well-designed for a family group of 10. It was very close to the beach and the small lake off the deck was very nice. Our group all has their own preferences for daily activities and all were well met. The only complaint by our group was the pillows. The beds were comfortable. The pillows were flat and we all complained about them amongst ourselves. An upgrade on pillows would be greatly appreciated. Routine cleaning of the grill had been overlooked prior to our visit and lighting the grill caused a grease fire that resulted in us being unable to cook out on our only available night. I’m hoping Maintenance took care of that as promised. Maintenance’s first expressed concern was for our family members, and that was much appreciated. All in all, it was an excellent visit, beautiful accommodations, and Destin-Miramar area is one of our favorite and most beautiful beaches

A piece of heaven

We absolutely loved our stay. So much open, great space to accommodate everyone. All ages loved the patio view of the lake and turtles, making it a very relaxing spot to settle down, play games, etc. We expected a bigger pool but was great for the babies. Since the beach was so close and so nice, we didnt have the need for a bigger pool for the adults. Shopping for fun or groceries were literally walking distance, yet no crazy traffic. Such a great location!! We had a few issues with the a/c but they were quick to take care of it, very considerate. Thank you for such a great get away!
