Cozy island cottage with a Key West flair - CLOSEST TO THE BEACH!!!

Every room of this island cottage has been updated and furnished with fresh fixtures, furniture and decor in a relaxed, comfy coastal style.

Clean and well appointed, from the granite counter tops and stainless appliances in the kitchen to the new queen and twin sets in the charming bedrooms. Every detail of this island home was carefully considered to ensure your visit is relaxing and comfortable.

The wide and inviting front porch is the first thing you will notice as we welcome you to our island haven. Beyond the front door, you will find an open living room and kitchen designed for easy entertaining with plenty of seating and views through to the spacious screened porch. Eat in the kitchen or gather around the dining area on the screened porch.

Nestled in the back are two bedrooms; one with a queen and another with two twin beds. Both bedrooms feature smart flat screen TV's. All quality linens and hotel style towels are provided.

The tiled bathroom includes a roomy waterfall shower, as well as, a full sized washer and dryer.

In addition, this “EV friendly” coastal retreat has a conveniently located 240v EV recharge station, central air, wireless internet and smart TV's in the living room and both bedrooms.

Tucked away in the closest neighborhood to the Assateague National Seashore, this quiet street is only a few minutes to the beach, bike rentals, restaurants and shopping. Rental includes access to the community boat launch.

Very delightful cottage! The owners have done a wonderful job with this rental. It was sparkling clean, very tastefully decorated and all the amenities were top notch including crisp sheets, plush towels and quality dishware. The front porch is massive and if this wasn't enough, there is a comfy screened in porch with eating and sitting areas and cafe lights strung around the perimeter. We really appreciated all of it. So well done. Thank you!

Charming and clean

Comfortable, clean, well decorated, and nicely stocked! Wrap around porch with screened in section was great for enjoying the night air. Back yard is just dark enough for some decent star watching. Walking distance to a lot of attractions and food. Neighborhood is quiet for runs, walks, or bike riding.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautifully remodeled cottage! The interior is tastefully done, and the landscaping adds charm. The large wrap-around deck was one of our favorite spots — great for relaxing, with a porch swing and a well-furnished screened-in section that includes ceiling fans and lighting.The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet, yet within walking distance to shops and restaurants. While there’s no direct water access from the property, a community water entry point is about a 5–7 minute walk away. If you plan to kayak, you’ll need to carry them over or lock them at the launch area.The kitchen is exceptionally well-stocked with new appliances, nice cookware, dishes, and even an organized "junk drawer" with useful extras. There’s no indoor dining table, just a counter with stools — not an issue for us, but something to note. The screened-in porch has a large table that works well for meals.The one bathroom was manageable for our family of four with a little planning. The guest bedroom has no dresser, only a small closet, so unpacking space is limited.Overall, the home is very clean and cozy, clearly maintained with pride. The owners were responsive and helpful, offering prompt answers and great suggestions. A lovely, well-kept cottage in a great location — highly recommend!

Beautiful cottage in Chincoteague

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely cottage. It was the perfect size for our family of 4 and in a great location. Nice quiet neighborhood. The house was very clean and had a 240 volt outlet outside for EVs (but bring your own charger cord). The host were very friend and responsive. Highly recommended.

Upon arrival was pleased to see how clean and neat the property was both inside and out. Everything we needed was easy to find and in good condition. Loved the deck and screened in porch. The set up with the tvs was also well thought out. If I get the chance to return to this area, I will try and stay at this property again.

Beautifully designed. Everything you could want. Loved the stove. Good location for acess to the park. You'll love this place. It was better than picturedI hesitate to suggest because it was just a perfect stay but a bar in the shower for old folks would be great.

Ponies, Relaxation and Charm

Our family’s getaway to Chincoteague was nothing short of magical. Watching the wild ponies roam freely was wonderful, a sight that never loses its charm no matter how many times we visit. We soaked up the sun on the sandy shores, explored winding nature trails, and embraced every moment of the island’s serene beauty. But some of the best memories were made right at The Starfish - swaying on the porch swing with morning coffee in hand, and sharing laughs and stories with our son on the deck in the afternoon breeze.This was our 3rd stay at The Starfish, and it certainly won’t be our last. Clean, comfortable, and perfectly situated, it provided the ideal setting for a strip filled with relaxation and joy.We left with hearts full and smiles wide!

Perfect accommodations!

We had a great time at the Starfish - the accommodations exceeded pur expectations! Everything was even nicer in person and extremely clean, comfortable and luxurious. Beds and bedding were super comfortable and the location couldn't be better! Check in/check out process was a breeze, would highly recommend!

Love the Starfish House!

Amazing time at Starfish

Everything was fantastic. The house is beautifully maintained and tastefully decorated. Stocked with nice cookware and everything you need to get your vacation started right. Great location away from the main road, but everything you need is still close. Easy drive in the park to get to the beach and all the sights. Great communication with the hosts for anything we needed. Would recommend this home to anyone without hesitation.

Beautiful Cottage in Great Location!

My family and I really enjoyed staying here. It was beautiful and clean. The hosts were also great communicators. I have used VRBO to rent many times at different price points. This place is in my top three. I would definitely return for a longer stay. Thank you!

Beautiful house, close to everything

We loved this house in Chincoteague! The rooms were perfect for our family of 4 and the screened porch was a great place to hang out bug-free at night. The quiet streets were safe for the kids to bike on and the large yard and yard games (corn hole, ladder golf) were fun for everyone. Would love to come back!

Wonderful property!

This was one of those properties that lives up to the pictures and description. The house is lovely, clean and cozy and located on a nice quiet street in Chincoteague Island. It's definitely worth the stay for your family.

Cute cottage, great spaces and a wonderful kitchen. Great spot with amazing little details and calming color scheme - relax and read a book or watch a show, sit on the front swing and listen to the birds. Lots of option - plan to come back soon.

Great Stay in Chincoteague

We had an amazing week in Chincoteague staying at The Starfish! The house was the perfect size for the four of us. Everything was clean and the host provided a few extras - Bluetooth speaker, boogie boards, and lots of board games. Will definitely stay at the Starfish when we return to Chincoteague!

Wonderful Stay!!

A wonderful place in an ideal location—even better than advertised. This delightful cottage has been thoroughly modernized and tastefully decorated. The porches are broad and cool even in the heat of the day, and the kitchen beautifully designed and equipped. Whether you’re pony-watching, beach-going, wilderness hiking or just getting away from it all, this is the perfect place to stay. We especially appreciated the host’s flexibility in modifying our initial reservation.
