Ubicado en las laderas boscosas del Bosque Nacional George Washington, High View Hideaway ofrece un refugio sereno del estrés de la vida urbana y es la base perfecta para disfrutar de todo lo que el área del Río Perdido tiene para ofrecer, desde caminatas y pesca hasta ciclismo y más. Completamente renovada en 2019, esta acogedora cabaña ofrece una gran habitación queen y baño completo, así como una sala de estar / comedor abierta, cocina actualizada, gran terraza y porche con mosquitero perfecto para disfrutar de las vistas y los sonidos de la naturaleza.

El espacio
High View Hideaway cuenta con una cocina de planta abierta bien equipada y un área de sala de estar / comedor que conduce a una gran terraza ubicada entre las copas de los árboles y un porche con mosquitero, perfecto para tomar un café por la mañana o tomar una copa al atardecer. La estufa de leña ofrece encanto adicional, así como una excelente fuente de calor en las noches frías.

El dormitorio cuenta con techos abovedados, una cama queen y un acogedor rincón de lectura junto con un amplio armario con estanterías hechas a mano que brinda un amplio espacio de almacenamiento para todo su atuendo de escapada.

La sala de estar es el lugar perfecto para acurrucarse con un libro, jugar o ver una película en nuestro televisor de alta definición con pantalla grande; también proporciona espacio adicional para dormir con un sofá cama plegable de tamaño completo.

Si bien The Hideaway es el lugar perfecto para desconectarse y desconectarse por completo, entendemos que las presiones de los tiempos modernos pueden requerir una conexión con el mundo exterior, por lo que hemos conectado la cabina con internet de fibra óptica de alta velocidad y acceso a wifi, como así como un televisor de pantalla grande con Amazon Fire TV para que pueda ver su película favorita, evento deportivo o serie de televisión.

Incredibly well-kept cabin in a beautiful location, absolutely everything we needed to enjoy some time away. Easy to access and close enough to recreation, restaurants, and shops to suit every need. One of the best stoves I’ve ever cooked on. Perfect porches. Clearly lots of care went into the home!

My family and I spent Thanksgiving at this cabin and enjoyed ourselves. The property is just as peaceful, secluded, and the cabin is just as cozy as advertised. The hosts provided all the information we needed to get in, out, use the wood stove, etc. The kitchen was well stocked for its size. Sleeps two adults and two kids comfortably between the bed and air mattress. The place was a bit too small for two young kids to play comfortably inside, which was tough when it got freezing cold outside. All in all, I would definitely recommend to an adult or couple, but less so for kids.

Comfortable/Quiet Cabin

Upon arrival, the cabin was very clean and well-organized. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our week-long vacation over New Year's. The location is very secluded, and it was nice to get away from the busy life to relax and recover here.

Beautiful peace and solitude

We were looking for a few days of quiet and rest away from our normal hustle and bustle - and High View Hideaway was perfect for that! Enjoyed seeing the deer and turkey from the porch, too.

Cozy yet modern where it counts

Loved my weekend at the cabin! It's a small, charming cabin in the woods, every window looking out to more trees. But it also has kick-ass wi-fi and a nice TV and a really comfy bed. Exactly what I needed for a break.

Cozy cabin in the forest.

Cozy cabin for 2-3 adults or 2 adults +1-2 kids. Pros: Loved being surrounded by beautiful trees, close to multiple outdoor activities we visited, the rustic decor, screened patio & the deck. Nice shower & comfortable bed. Easy check in & out. Cons: no microwave & the grill was broken which didn't matter much to us as we brought a small air fryer. Had a great stay here.

Practically perfect in every way

This cabin was everything I’d hoped to have for a solo mini-vacation. The cabin is very private, set among beautiful woods, with an extremely comfortable bed and a cozy living room, a very well-equipped kitchen, great WiFi and tasteful decor... all for a very reasonable price. I will definitely be back!

Restful retreat

My 26 year old son and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the High View Hideaway.  Although it dropped to 17 degrees during our visit, we were always comfortable.  The cabin was fully stocked with everything we needed to relax and enjoy our trip.  The cabin is a bit off the trail, but we knew that going in and we were easily able to find some nice local trails to explore.  The Big Schloss trail was our favorite.  Since we both work remotely, I should also mention that the WIFI worked just fine.  Thanks Cynthia and Jonathan for a great stay!

Perfect Peace and Quiet

This is truly my “happy place.” This was my second visit and it was just as delightful of a respite the second time around. The house has everything you need and is in a perfect location to just stay in and relax. Observing the woods from the porch is wonderful. I’ll be back!

Great place to get away from it all

We had a great stay, so peaceful & secluded. The cabin was the perfect size for the two of us. Relaxing time sitting on the back deck & screened porch. No cell service, but that didn't bother us. There is wifi so it was no problem finding directions to where we wanted to go. It is quite a drive to any stores or restaurants, but we were there to get away from the hustle & bustle of everyday life, so it was perfect. Would definitely book again.

The perfect getaway for 2

I haven’t had such a great time in a long time. Just totally unplugged with my husband. This place is so quaint and coz. Country/Nordic vibes which I love. Super clean too! Did some crosswords, enjoyed the sounds and scenery, and watched the amazing stars at night, you could see the Milky Way clearly! Perfect perfect perfect!!!

Lovely little Cabin in the Woods

This a very quiet, peaceful little getaway. There are no neighbors visible from the property when the trees are in foliage, although I suspect in the winter months you might be able to see one or two. There was a neighbor doing some shooting one night, but that's to be expected in West Virginia. Right out the back door are miles of state park forest to hike, and there are official trails that begin a short drive away. It rained for much of my stay, but that was fine, as the screened in porch made for a great place to contemplate the woods and the rain and a good book. It's also a great place to sit in the dark, just listening. Town is about a 20 minute drive away. I would definitely stay here again.

Isolated and wonderful

A comfortable cottage for two. The hideaway is well stocked, well decorated and comfortable. My wife and I enjoyed our time there immensely.

Relaxing and wonderful kitchen

No cell service was the biggest draw! Was so lovely to sit in the porches and watch deer come up close to graze, listen to the birds, and wake up to complete quiet.

Amazing getaway!

The MOST serene location possible. It has an overwhelming air of peace and there will not be a moment of your stay where you’re not lost in the beauty of the outdoors! The cabin was amazing and the perfect place to get away. So clean, charming, and it made our stay all the more perfect!

We love the Lost River area and want to take every opportunity we can to enjoy all it has to offer, so we added this cozy little cabin to our expanding "cabin family," which includes Santi's Lost Stream, a serene class A-frame cabin a few miles away.
