Disfrute del acceso directo a la Mesabi Trail, el parque de bicicletas de montaña Giants Ridge, el esquí alpino y nórdico, la playa, el parque infantil y la piscina de verano al aire libre / jacuzzi, además del clásico "lugar del lago" del norte de Minnesota que vive desde esta espaciosa casa directamente en el Giants Ridge Golf & Complejo de Ski Resort. Great Getaway Ski Weekend!

We stayed Friday to Monday. It’s a great location. Less than 5 minutes to the ski hill and 10 min from biwabik for groceries. Had everything we needed to be comfortable.

Great Stay at Giants Ridge

This was a great location for our party of 5 who were visiting for a wedding. The villa was clean, spacious and close to the beach/pool area. Would recommend staying here to anyone looking for a family vacation. Thank you Shawn for being an excellent host!

Ski villa at the ridge

This was a great place to stay for my wife and I, and 2 other couples. This was perfect for the section ski race weekend. We will definitely try to rent this place again. Loved the breakfast nook as well. Well done!

Our time at this VRBO was so fun. The place was spotless when we arrived. The villa was cosy and well designed. Owner Shaun was always timely with responses to questions or concerns before and during our stay.

Snowmobiling and skiing family weekend

I wanted to buy this cabin - it was so perfectly located and perfect for our family. We will just have to settle for re-booking soon. The snowmobiling trail was immediately adjacent to the cabin and we rode for 100 miles - getting to tour the iron range from a sled is very cool. The next day we all skied downhill and were able to simply walk across the road with our gear. Very easy to return to the cabin for lunch and a break on the sunny deck. Our family thought we had the perfect long weekend together and we will definately recommend this cabin to others.

Cozy and modern. Perfect for our family getaway

Our family loves to get “up north” in the winter and the villa was just what we hoped. Clean and cozy, our family of 6 settled right in and enjoyed the loft sleeping area, the fireplace, cottage style table, and the well appointed kitchen. We loved the style and convenience to Giants Ridge for some chilly but enjoyable ski days. Our host was very responsive and made sure we had our door code in plenty of time. Arriving at night and in sub-zero temps, that was very appreciated. We all agreed we would come back.

We highly enjoyed our stay at this property. It was well equipped--kitchen and baths had everything you could need. It was well-kept. Great location near the lake. Only glitch was that we didn't receive our door code in advance, so we had to call the property manager for access upon arrival, but our call was promptly answered and we got in right away. Great customer service.

Perfection!

The property exceeded expectations and was perfect for our family. Kitchen was well stocked with supplies, beds were comfortable, and the common spaces were light and bright! The property has access to a beach with a beautiful view and the pool was great for the kids! Giants Ridge in the summer time offers something for everyone! We’ll be back again!

I am a degreed professional with a variety of passions and interests. In addition to an engineering career, I have worked in the natural foods industry (various roles over several years at a food co-op), nutritional counseling, and residential construction and interior design. For the past several years, I have been dedicated to the design/build of Green Gate Guest Houses- 10 unique lodging options within the Giants Ridge Recreation Area.

I have a passion for all areas of construction, design, technology, sustainable living, renewable energy, etc., and enjoy putting ideas into action through the myriad of projects I always have going!

I enjoy nature, outdoors, exercise (running, hiking, cycling, skiing, etc), as well as the culture and arts of the city. I've traveled domestically and internationally, and value the insight gained from experiencing new cultures. I often bring back design ideas that are eventually incorporated into various projects around the property. Looking forward to some time in Scandinavia next.

Having operated my vacation rental properties for about a decade now, I have been fortunate to host such a variety of wonderful guests from all over the planet, and have enjoyed being part of the community in my hosting and travels.

I enjoy this property because it a 1 minute walk to the skiing (alpine lifts and xc trails) in the winter, and next to all the summer recreation as well. Easy access just off the Giants Ridge Road, with the Mesabi Trail, hiking trails, beach/water sports, and Giants Ridge golf, mountain bike trails, climbing tower, and restaurants all within 1/4 mile.

Pinecone Cottage is literally the nearest stand alone property to the alpine lifts/xc trails at Giants Ridge, its a short walk from your door to the spur trail just across the road.
