The property was lovely and comfortable. The view is beautiful, and the condo is very well stocked — everything you need for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation.What impressed us most, however, was the staff at Stubbs, especially Kevin. We rented the place because we needed to bring a friend for surgery at Scripps. Unfortunately, there were complications, and we had to extend our stay. We explained our situation to Kevin and his boss, and they were absolutely amazing.They made sure we had a place to stay, went above and beyond to accommodate us, and did everything they could to ensure the process went smoothly. We are so grateful to Kevin and the entire Stubbs team for their kindness, understanding, and exceptional support during a stressful time.

We loved waking up each morning to see the ocean and then watching the sunset each night on the patio. The unit was very clean and spacious and the kitchen was well fitted out for the nights we stayed in and made dinners.Property managers made check in super easy and were extremely helpful with accommodating our needs.Short walk up to Pizza Port and Cedars Street Shopping District but also an easy drive to JoJo's Creamery in Encinitas.We could not have had a better stay and will definitely come back for any future visits to San Diego.

Couldn't be happier

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 7 nights was not enough! Bella Vista is a beautifully decorated condo with an incredible view of morning surfers and evening sunsets. It is conveniently located near both the parking garage and stairs (easier going down than up) to the beach below. Both kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked. Glassware, dinnerware and cutlery are plentiful and in excellent condition. We had one minor issue with the fireplace which was fixed within an hour thanks to the excellent management and maintenance team. Excellent WIFI and TV with both local and cable channels - this was especially important during the World Cup. Overall, very quiet except for upstairs visitors opening and closing sliding doors. We are currently staying in a major hotel chain's vacation rental property which does not begin to compare with Bella Vista. Hope to make this an annual visit.

This vacation rental is beyond dreamy. The light, the views, the space. We came with our 1 year old and had truly the best time of our lives! It was clean, the appliances worked great and was one of the best stocked rental kitchens we have seen. Working with Stubbs was seamless and helpful. They are such a great company! The beach access was close and the sea breeze was magical. The master mattress could definitely use and upgrade but it didn’t take away from the experience. We loved it here.

WiFi was not strong enough for TV streaming was an issue, and should be updated with a booster for a more pleasant experience for all. Furniture and decor is dated, but very clean throughout. Location trumps all, so keep that in mind.

Beautiful view

The condo had an unbelievable view right in the ocean and in an ideal location! But furnishings are definitely in need of an update. And the master bath had ants and an awful odor from master shower after use.

A little dissapointed

Did you have a good overall stay? It was fine, but the stairs were an issue. The description did mention stairs to the unit, but didn't mention the stairs from the garage area. The internet was also a bit lacking as it was in the 2nd bedroom, so it was spotty out in the living room, making it hard to use. For such a beautiful view and property, there is a bunch of little things wrong that made the overall stay not as nice as it could've been. Was the vacation rental in a great location? Yes. It was amazing. The view was great and there were a lot of stores and restaurants near by. The only complaint I have about the location is that the grounds were a bit hard to manage if you have disabilities/an older person. Everything was only accessible by stairs, which were usually very steep and some didn't even have railings. Was the home clean and in good shape? Yes and no. The inside of the house was clean, but the window screens were very dirty. The worst part was that there was a broken window in the hallway, which we did notice for a week because it was behind wooden shutters. We just thought the unit had a draft. It made the unit insanely cold. Last thing, the toilets are not being maintained. The flappers broke in 2 out of the 3 bathrooms and my son had to fix them. Was the vacation rental management staff helpful? Yes. They were very responsive and fixed the window within 4 hours of us discovering it and calling.
