The Conch House es una casa de 3 dormitorios y 2 baños bellamente renovada en MM 49. 5 en Marathon, en un canal (profundidad mínima de 5 pies) en el puerto protegido de Boot Key con acceso rápido al océano. Ubicado en un vecindario tranquilo, está a menos de una milla de Publix / Winn Dixie, K Mart, Home Depot, West Marine, una tienda de delicatessen / licores, muchos restaurantes y la rampa de botes públicos de la calle 33.



El dormitorio principal cuenta con una cama queen con baño en suite. El primer dormitorio de invitados cuenta con una cama queen y el segundo dormitorio de invitados cuenta con dos camas individuales. El baño principal tiene tocador doble y ducha independiente. Baño de visitas tiene combinación de bañera de ducha.



Tiene aire acondicionado central y ventiladores de techo en todas partes. La cocina totalmente equipada cuenta con encimeras de granito y electrodomésticos de acero inoxidable que incluyen microondas y lavaplatos, además de tostadora, licuadora, olla de cocción lenta y cafetera Keurig. Hay asientos para seis en el comedor, internet de alta velocidad / WiFi, un televisor de pantalla plana de 55 pulgadas (cable) y reproductor de DVD en la sala de estar, y un televisor en el dormitorio principal. Dos de las habitaciones y la sala de estar tienen puertas corredizas de vidrio que conducen a una gran cubierta superior con una mesa de picnic con vistas al canal. Ropa de cama, toallas de baño y piscina también se proporcionan.

The house was as advertised. Enjoyed the heated pool nearly every day. Saw manatees in the canal. Kayaked out the canal into Boot Key Harbor, would have done more kayaking, but was windy most of the week. There is a bike shop a block away and rented bikes and rode to Pigeon Island and Sombrero beach. Overall a great place to stay for the week.

Keys vacation

Marathon is a great location for going antwhere in the Keys. Lots of great food and things to do. Our proprty was nice, clean and the big screened in upper deck with pool below was a plus.

Cute house, nice pool. We saw manatees most days in the canal! The pots and pans have seen much better days and the pillows were way too firm for any of us! Other than that it was a great week!

Great stay

We had a great stay. Enjoyed the pool, having the boat tied up right behind the house. Everything is close, attractions, restaurants and grocery stores. If you're planning on cooking, bring your own pots and pans. Their's are in bad shape. Everything else was great.

This property was perfect for our trip! It's not very big but we didn't need a lot of space because we were only there basically to shower and sleep. (There were 6 adults.) When we were there, we were hanging out in the pool. There were plenty of towels, even beach towels. The beds were really comfy and there were extra blankets, sheets, etc. The dock was nice and big so we had plenty of room for our 28 foot boat. The driveway was also very large so it fit the boat trailer and all of our trucks nicely. My only complaint is the kitchen is rather bare. The very basics are there but if you are planning to cook a lot, I would take my own kitchen stuff. The pots and pans have seen better days and there aren't enough wine glasses or cooking utensils. There also isn't an ice maker in the fridge so that was very inconvenient for us with all of us making drinks. The location of the house is perfect. On the boat, we were super close to both the Gulf and the Atlantic and spent time in both. There are also a bunch of restaurants the are accessible by boat close by. On land we had everything we needed close by, including a gas station and grocery stores. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

Perfect beach house

Property was amazing only complaint was it needed a working fish cleaning station and more cleats for docking the boat.

Our Christmas vacation 2020

This property was clean and ready for our stay. We enjoyed the location. It was a bit cool and took 2 & 1/2 days for property manager to get pool heated as requested. We felt she did not care to communicate as was necessary, but otherwise enjoyed our stay at this locale.

Dining room and living room furniture really needs updating, uncomfortable and old and used. Great location for walkable restaurants and great for guests with a boat. Very clean.

Excellent location in Middle Keys

Marathon is a great choice if you want to day trip to Key West or go North on an adventure or stay put in Marathon, lots to do! The Conch House was clean and cute. The Plunge pool is a great asset! We had a wonderful vacation here and loved the location on the Canal Plenty of room to sit in the sun and my husband fished the canal all week. House is updated and clean. Great screened in porch as well as raised open deck area for morning yoga under the palm tree. :) Note that the laundry is downstairs, on pool level and you need to go outside to access it. Also could use updated comforters, updated outdoor furniture and more private curtains. Besides that, it is a great rental in a wonderful location, we loved it and would stay here again.

Family Christmas in Maration

Upon entering the home we were all very pleased to find the house very charming, well appointed and very clean. Every room was like walking into your own. Décor was very tasteful, beds were very comfortable, bathrooms clean and included everything needed just in case we forgot something. The kitchen had everything needed to cook like a chef (if you need to). We spent most of our time at the house either gathered on the deck overlooking the canal or in the plunge pool, which was the best part of the whole place! We got to see manatee and iguanas right off our dock. We didn't spend too much time here during the day but it was a very good spot to be able to go in either direction to get to any of the other keys. When we were at the house there was no outside issues that bothered our stay. The house being only 2 buildings away from the street did not bother us at all. I guess if I have to say something negative about the home it could only be that the pillows could use exchanging. And yeah the neighbor didn't have to be throwing rocks at the manatee. Our vacation went off without any issues, the little bit of rain each day did not take away from any of our fun. Thank you Paula for everything.....I hope that we as tenants left your beautiful home as close to the way we found it that we could. We hope to visit again and would definitely consider renting The Conch House again. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Deb Thorpe and family

Perfect central location in the Keys! The home included many extras. The pool is perfect size and stays cool even in the heat of July. We hope you meet the local bearded dragon we nicknamed Spike. Special thank you to the neighbors Cleve and Mary for recommending the best local restaurants. No one wanted to leave!!!

Perfect vacation!

The Conch House was even better than the profile reflects. It wasn't just clean, it was IMMACULATE, and we are a picky family! The location is perfect - we brought our boat from SC and were able to put it in the water at the public landing only three blocks away. The proximity to the 7 Mile Bridge cut through gave us easy access to the Atlantic and Gulf restaurants and amenities. Viewing fireworks from Sister Creek was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We did have a small maintenance issue during our stay but it was handled immediately, and the homeowner was gracious throughout our stay. After having a bad VRBO experience several years ago, I was extremely hesitant to try it again, but this vacation completely changed my impression of this type of property management. The linens provided were high quality - the beds were extremely comfortable, there were plenty of towels and kitchen supplies, and the house was the perfect size for us. We will definitely return to this house if at all possible!

The house was very well equipped. All the cooking utensils and dishes and down to the coffee pods and spices. The cherry on top was the kayaks. Location is easy to get out to ocean and bay. We were very lucky to have beautiful weather. Hopefully this house is available next year. Looking forward to it

Awesome Location

Great location to explore all of the keys from. The proximity to boot key harbor was perfect for our kayaks. We loved the calm waters and ability to explore canals, mangroves and the harbor. Our son was able to catch a fish right off the dock. The absolute top of our trip was seeing manatees right in the canal from the home. This more than made up for the proximity to the highway. We used that to our advantage to use our bikes to go to restaurants and Sombrero beach. The home was well equipped, clean and just what we needed for all our outdoor adventures.

Great place for families and for enjoying both ends of the island along with lots to do in marathon

The house was great. We enjoyed the family time inside as well as the enclosed porch and the plunge pool. The rooms worked well along with the two baths and the kitchen had everything we needed as we cooked in several nights. Plenty of parking and very easy stay with washer and dryer convenience on the property.

Great House

This house is extremely clean, very recently renovated, and nicely finished and furnished. The house is not big but is very efficient - we are a family of 6 and were very comfortable. The beds were great and the bathrooms were ultra clean. When I say the house was clean, I mean absolutely spotless from top to bottom. The pool is a great feature - again, not huge but efficient and perfect for kids or jumping in after a day of heat and saltwater. You do hear and see cars on US-1 when you are outside but it wasn't a huge deal for us. The screen porch and open deck are spacious. This was the perfect launching pad for Keys activities. The owner was easy to deal with and everything went smoothly. Highly recommend the Conch House!

Great house, pool and Access to Boot Key Harbor

We enjoyed our week stay over 4th of July. House had plenty of dockage and parking for our 2 boats. Neighbors are very friendly and street is quiet even though it’s close to US1. Salt water pool was great way to relax and hide from the sun. Fireworks over Sombrero beach were awesome and viewable from house and end of street. 4-Star only due to property at end of canal and 20 minute idle out to Atlantic or gulf side. Overall a nice property and will stay again if schedules work out! Thanks Paula for sharing it with us!!!

This place is beautiful! Perfect in every way!

This house is completely redone, beautifully decorated. It has all the amenities....boat dock, pool is the perfect size right by the water. There's laundry room, grill, bait freezer downstairs. Owner has even supplied little things like k cups, bars of soap, laundry soap, etc. She was very easy to work with and i definitely would return. The neighbors are amazing as well!

Clean well equipped home, perfect for our family of five

We had a wonderful stay in Marathon at Paula’s house. Everything was super clean, the home is well equipped with new appliances, and the screened in deck with a roof off the back of the house overlooking the canal was a big plus, we ate all of our meals that we had at home there. The small pool was perfect for the kids(5, 3, & 1) We paid for the heat and weren’t disappointed with the temperature set at 89! Made it easy for the little ones to get in, and hard to get them out! The location was central to everything that we had planned (Dolphin Research Center, Aquarium, Multiple trips to sombrero beach and a day trip to Key West), and to groceries and lots of choices for restaurants, even a few good ones within walking distance. Maybe a little close to the main highway, but it is not easy to get away from, and it really didn’t bother us, very quiet inside with the doors closed. There is certainly still a fair bit of damage from hurricane Irma last fall, but you can tell it won’t be long until it is cleaned up. Lots of work being done. If we come back to Marathon we will stay here again. Thanks Paula.

Wish we could have stayed longer.

This was our first time renting a vacation home. It won't be the last. The Conch House met all our needs and expectations. Perfect location for our daily activities. We enjoyed the pool and our Daughter even caught a fish from the dock. It really was home away from home.
