A great little spot for a weekend getaway! The cabin was very clean, strong internet access, and well stocked with kitchen amenities. The neighbors were quiet and the lake was very clean. We had a wonderful stay and would be happy to stay again!

This cottage on Long Lake was perfect for our little family (two adults and two small children) for our week long vacation. It is cozy, clean, well stocked, and in a great location. The inclusion of linens, towels, and a fully stocked kitchen was such a great thing for us. In addition to being just steps from Long Lake, it is also only 15-30 minutes from many fun spots to explore Lake Huron and do any shopping you may need. The homeowner was incredibly helpful, thorough, and prompt in his communications with us from trip preparation through our exit at the end of our time. We made lots of wonderful family memories here and would love to return again in the future.

Excellent location on Long Lake and a short trip to the big lake and Alpena. Open floor plan was great and the kitchen was amazing. Firewood ready to go for the campfire and plenty of chairs for everyone. Everything went smoothly with directions and check in, wireless connectivity and working smart tv. A very nice experience!! Thank you!

An Absolute Must!

This is our 2nd year renting this property. The cabin and yard are perfection! Simple design gives you nostalgia. Amenities are all there. And Long Lake is now our favorite. This placw never disappoints. Book it and make memories youll have forever.

A wonderful comfortable cabin by the lake.

From the moment we arrived, the cabin was welcoming - clean, organized, all the items we needed for cooking and serving, feel at home decor. A great set up outside, as well. The location is a nice short drive into Alpena and the surrounding area. A beautiful view across the lake, including a wonderful view of the sunrise. And nicely quiet. We highly recommend this rental. Great communication with the host (quick responses and wanted to make sure our stay went well). We will be talking about this trip for years to come and that is in great part to staying at this location.
Relaxing and comfortable for all.
Clear and clean water for those inclined to swim.

Change of plans

Due to some family stuff, my party of four turned in to a party of one. The place was a perfect relaxing getaway right on the lake. It was a great location for me because it was close to other family members, and many of them were able to stop by for a visit. The little store and the restaurant on the water were in walking distance and had pretty much anything I needed, not that town is that far away. I would stay here again but next time will try to bring my boat.

Quiet place

Very nice and quite place. Its very simple also which is nice. It is hidden off the main road and the whole neighborhood is very nice. Owners are helpful and responsive. Was able to enjoy our self and still be comfortable.

Love spot, close to everything

This is a great little cabin, right on the water, and really convenient for travels into Alpena and all of the nearby shoreline communities. Ryan was a responsive and generous host.

Perfect location on wonderful lake

Not large but enough for 4 adults. Location is right on lake and firepit too. Cabin was very clean. Fishing was goid despite alit of wind.

Great Cottage

A charming right-on-the-lake cottage with nice updating that retains the old charm. Perfect for the 2 of us but room for more, especially if family. Our pontoon boat was right at home at the new dock and there are choices for launching. Ryan (Host) was Johnny on the spot with all communications plus a local housekeeper dealt with the few issues we had. Even delivering brand new wine glasses! We recommend this rental wholeheartedly!

Fall Hideaway for Fishing

Quaint, rustic and updated cabin with all the necessities to enjoy time by the waters of Long Lake. Plenty of room for parking the boat trailer. Water at the dock was shallow when we visited so we loaded and unloaded at the DNR Boat Ramp 3.5 miles to the west. Lots of opportunities in nearby Alpena and Lake Huron. Communication with the owner was easy and response time was immediate. Clean and well kept! Thank you Ryan!

Memories

My brother and I spent summer vacations at Long Lake as children/teens. This cottage and location is within a mile of our cottage. It was a comfortable and perfect place to spend the time, and it had everything we would need and want. The grounds and views are beautiful Communication with the host was easy and very accomodating.

Beautiful Lake

This lovely cabin was perfect for our few days away. The property was just as described and had everything we needed for a peaceful getaway. The huge lake was suprisingly quiet for a holiday weekend. We had perfect weather - so that was an added bonus. We ended up cooking most of our meals at the cabin because we didnt want to leave. However; if you have a chance to go to 808 bowlz in Alpena - do it! Delicious food!! The sunrises were spectacular! The moon put on a pretty good show for us as well. We would definitely rent again. Ryan was available if we needed anything. Fortunately we didnt need a thing!

Nice cottage, great location, good fishing!

Long Lake is only a few steps from the front door. Nice dock for our small fishing boat. Cottage was clean and well stocked with kitchen supplies and paperware. Great location to take day trips from-Lake Huron State Parks, Alpena attractions. Only small issue for us is the tiny low toilet in the bathroom. Tough on our knees trying to get on and off. We realize there is limited space in the small bathroom, but still! Excellent and timely communication from the owner.

Nice, Peaceful Stay on Long Lake

We had a very nice, peaceful stay the Lovely Cottage on Long Lake. Neighboring houses are close but we never saw anyone else. It felt like we had the cove all to ourselves. We were there on weekdays in August. The cottage was just like it was pictured and described in the listing. Although the home is older, it is well maintained and very clean. The exterior was recently painted and it looked like the windows were quite new as well as having an updated bathroom. There were plenty of kitchen gadgets, bowls, etc. The beds were comfortable. The pull-out couch was your typical pull-out. The Host was very attentive to any questions we had. Overall, a wonderful stay.

Beyond Expectations

We have been staying at different cottages on Long Lake for many years. This was without a doubt the nicest place we have rented. The amount of amenities and facilities are the most we have ever encountered. My son's and I fished for five days and were able to have fish dinners three nights. Ryan is looking at providing a filleting table. He is very easy to deal with, I was able to contact him whenever I had a question or need. He is very concerned that everyone has an enjoyable time. I would recommend this cottage to everyone. Unfortunately some of the items in the cottage had been removed by previous renters. Some people seem to think because they pay rent, then they are entitled to take anything they want.
