By far, our two week stay at the Gooding House was the best stay we have ever experienced. 3 generations of our family had the most amazing time there celebrating my husband and my anniversary, and rang in the new year. The house was perfect with excellent amenities. There were so many different spaces to chill out and enjoy the most stunning views from the dock, private beach, and on both floors. You can snorkel right off the private beach. The house is stocked with water toys, games, ping pong, foosball, billiard table. Clean, spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, plenty of parking. Mangoes, avocado, coconut trees, a true oasis. Monique was very helpful with all my questions before we arrived. She went on vacation so Aiden welcomed us and he was such a wonderful host, so friendly and helpful (and very funny). He helped us get tickets for a fantastic boat trip for 21 people. We have traveled and stayed at many places, and this by far is our favorite, bar none. Highly recommend! Thank you Aiden for your hospitality and making our stay so magical!

What a magical place. The host was so friendly and helpful, we felt very welcome. The view is amazing and the home has an excellent indoor/outdoor flow. Plenty of space, activities, amenities, and of course the location cannot be beat.

Perfect property for our family of 14, plenty of space, hosts very accommodating. Used the paddle boards and kayaks right out front. Morning coffee and coconut bread and view of Cooks Bay sublime.

Absolutely perfect

I cannot say enough positive things about our Cook’s Bay home’s vacation. First of all, it is the most perfect location on the island. Secondly, the hosts are absolutely wonderful. Thirdly, Moorea is stunning. My extended family of 10 stayed for a week at this magnificent home. We truly fell in love with it! Plenty of room to spread out, so many wonderful things included (paddleboards, kayaks and the dock were used extensively along with the table tennis and pool tables). The kitchen was so very well equipped. All of the beds were super comfortable and the A/C in each of the bedrooms cooled each room off almost immediately. Water pressure was great, too. Not one, but two washers and dryers, made doing laundry a breeze. There is a terrific smoothie and ice cream place just across the street from the house, Allo Pizza is just a short walk down the road and it features fantastic pizzas, mouth watering steak and seafood is a quick 3 minute drive away at Rudy’s Steakhouse and there’s a fully stocked grocery store just a few minutes the other way…fresh bread every morning. Mmmmm! Also a Thai food stand down that way that my adult kids said was delicious and served very large portions. We highly recommend Alex Lagoon Tours for snorkeling that is second to none…but book a few months in advance. Monique and JeanMarie are truly the most amazing hosts…they have literally thought of everything you might need while there and they can answer all your questions about Moorea.

Heaven on Earth

Wonderful communication. Kind responses. Clean and gorgeous home and grounds. Incredible setting and comfortable beds!Air conditioning worked great and WiFi was consistent. Loved the dock and crystal clear water. Truly a dream come true stay!

Mission Moorea was a success

We were a group of experienced travelers and had an amazing week long holiday at this beautiful home. Everything you could possibly need was close to the house. We cooked several dinners and the BBQ and kitchen were great. The home was large with plenty of space to socialize or have a quiet moment to yourself. The AC worked perfectly and kept all the bedrooms nice and cold for sleeping. Great outdoor space to just take in all the beautiful scenery. The outdoor shower was also a highlight. We were all sad to leave this magical home in a spectacular setting.

The best of Cook’s Bay

Incredible huge home on the best location that Cook’s bay has to offer. We were a large group of 9 and had everything we could possible want. The A/C in all the bedrooms worked flawlessly. Jean Marie, the host, was there to greet us upon arrival and couldn’t have been nicer. Fortunately he allowed us a late check out since we had a ferry to catch at 5 pm. We’ve stayed at a couple of other well known villas on Cooks bay in the past but this was by far our favorite. We’ve been to Mo’orea a dozen times so we knew what was available. Don;t hesitate to book this incredible villa.

Every other review is completely accurate. Amazing location, amazing amount of space, fantastic amenities for families (and family time). Our group was two families of four and everyone thought it was a fantastic vacation. We had a small issue one evening with one of the ACs not turning on, I messaged the host and 10 minutes later (late at night) he was there to show us how easy it was to fix (our ignorance...).

Another magical time on Cooks Bay

We visited this property just eight months ago and were so taken by the property (and Moorea in general) that we came back for a second round within the year! This time we were two families with four children 8-12 plus two grandparents. The house was perfect for our group -- we knew it would be. Incredible views, a great dock and tons of water toys to paddle in the bay, fish and sharks and rays cruising by off the dock, easy access to all of the rest of the island via taxis... couldn't ask for more. For us northerners, the AC in the bedrooms is also critical. Just an awesome place -- thank you for sharing it with us again Monique and Jean!

Cook bay house

We were 3 families with kids aged from 4 to 11. We had an amazing time. The house has a great location as you have can go to beaches, hiking start (belvedere) within less than 20min. Vue from the house is awesome as it's on the bay and has a direct access to the beach that we enjoyed a lot. Warm welcome from the owner. We'll definitely come again.

Lovely stay in a true "South Pacific" heaven!

Loved this home and all the outdoor spaces. Kayaking in Cook Bay was great and appreciated the functioning washing machine!! Close-by shopping, even some just across the street. Parking a little hairy as the sharp turn off the road - but mastered it well before our departure. I would highly recommend this home!! Thank you!!

A beautiful well appointed facility

Our family was very large 12 adults , 4 children & a baby. The house was well appointed and we all had more than adequate rooms/beds for sleeping. The games tables & outdoor gear was outstanding. We would have liked the swimming from property to be better but it was only a short drive to spectacular beaches. Well done to Monique & Aiden - great result

Nothing Short of Amazing

All the previous positive reviews are completely accurate. This was an amazing five nights stay right on Cook’s Bay in a beautiful home that has everything that you need. We did make several trips to the store to buy fresh fish and eggs and other staples, but for the most part, the house was completely stocked with spices, purified water, and all the cooking utensils you would need. My favorite part of the house is the dock. You can literally sit there and see lemon sharks and stingrays swimming by like clockwork. I don’t think there was a point in time where we didn’t see something swimming by within 10 to 15 minutes of each other. Monique, the host, was super receptive to all messages and inquiries during our stay. She even arranged for us to have late checkout since we had a midnight flight, and wanted to spend our last day at the house. Aidan, Who helped us check in had arranged for a rental car for me. It was the rental car that I didn’t know I needed but I absolutely did. The rate was super cheap. I believe I only paid 380 American dollars for five days. The car allowed us the freedom to travel all over the island to our excursions and also just to go to the beach or to the restaurants which are numerous in the area. We were just a family of four but the house actually sleeps 16 and although we didn’t have that many people, I would say that 16 would be totally comfortable. If we ever come back to Moorea again I would certainly love to stay at this house on Cook‘s Bay.

We were in Moorea to celebrate our 50th anniversary with our daughters and their spouses. House is large with plenty of space for 3 couples. House is in a great location. Can walk to Supermarket, pizza place, smoothies, and shopping. Very well stocked with all the water toys one could ever imagine needing. Family hosts were very nice.

Lovely location, comfortable house, kind people!

Our family of 9 (2 grandparents, 2 adult couples, and 3 children ages 10,8, and 6) thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The dock makes the house - a fabulous place to lounge with gorgeous views. The boats and small beach were fun as were the 3 outdoor areas to eat. Special aspects include: well functioning air conditioning, comfortable beds, ample hot water, and a great laundry room (enclosed but open air) with 2 washers and 2 dryers, a large sink, lots of space to hang wet gear. We were thrilled to take totally clean, dry swimming and snorkeling gear home in our suitcases. The kitchen was adequate to cook a meal and had ample plates, silverware, glasses, etc. Great, secure off street parking and overall a very secure location. The house is older and shows some wear, but not in an uncomfortable way. I would describe it as homey and inviting. Our hosts were lovely, meeting us on time, allowing us to stay 4 hours longer, providing many wonderful pineapples, much advise, and even a special dessert! Merci beaucoup! Moorea was lovely - good restaurants, beaches, hiking. We especially enjoyed Allo Pizza, Rudy's, Coco Beach, and snorkeling with whales.

Wonderful family vacation destination

One Moment In Time

Morrea is the most beautiful island we have ever seen and Cooks Bay captured the breathtaking beauty from every direction. The exterior living space of this home is what drew our interest in renting, and it was more than we dreamed of. You can’t help but to feel happy when you see these views, private beach and Morning coffee on the dock. All of your water toys are right here to enjoy. As planned, when we were at the home, we were outside. (Neither of us ever saw a mosquito.) We only used the main level but were surprised to see the three bedrooms upstairs with ample space for so many more to enjoy. Thank you for your generous hospitality and attention to detail for our needs.
