We had a great time at this lovely cottage on Stinson Beach. It was so cute and comfortable and the management contact was very helpful. The town is darling and a fun walk to the town and beach. Loved it!

House was lovely. Location excellent. The photos do not do it justice, it is much more beautiful and appealing in person. Kitchen was very well stocked to cook.MINOR MINOR issue. Having no physical key would be great... a code to get in and out. Then when you go to beach etc. you dont have to worry about losing key.

A beautiful house with lots of glass and light giving an ocean view, with the bonus of a private patio with comfortable furnishings. The kitchen is well stocked with essentials (skillets, pots, glasses, china, etc.) but not atypical items (mixer, waffle iron, …) that few would use. Plenty of hot water, forced air heat in case it’s chilly, good linens. Only about a 12 min walk to the ocean, but steep.

Great Place to Stay at Stinson Beach!

We had a great stay! The house had everything we needed, and close to the beach! We loved the huge back deck for sunbathing. I highly recommend!

Beautiful Gardens/ Deck

Lovely and large outdoor area. View of the ocean and you can hear the waves. Hilly climb to and from beach- not for older folks! Very quiet neighborhood. House is very comfortable and has a well appointed kitchen. Shoreline Drive is beautiful but not for the faint hearted. Very bright and airy.

Lovely Cottage

We really enjoyed our Memorial Day weekend here. This is a charming, art-filled home with views of the water on the hill. Very clean inside. Only negatives were the mildew smell upon entering and the cobwebs all over the exterior and on the outdoor furniture. We didn’t use the deck area because of this which was too bad because it was amazing. These concerns were minor though and we’d definitely rent again!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The thing I loved the most was the energy the house held. It's pictures online only gave a hint. The house was was clean but the foyer was not and the gardner never came back to finish the yard cleaning after the rainfall. The back yard gardens were still beautiful and the ocean view as well. My pup Skylar loved the maze. He had a great time. And the management team were wonderful. Yes indeed I would stay there again. Stinson Beach has always been one of favorite places.

Privacy & Calm at Calle Del Mar

The property came as advertised. Quirky clean with a beautiful private yard literally a few steps from "downtown" Stinson Beach and the beach itself. Property could use a few upgrades such as fans in the bathrooms, but overall very comfortable. Need to have printed instructions as to how the TV works. Property manager was a great help with the problem.

Old home with lots of issues, customer service lacked kindness

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Check in process was helpful but it went downhill from there. Home had worms on the kitchen floor, ants inside the spice cupboard and a strange smell throughout. Living room furniture was uncomfortable and there were over 50 mosquitos in both our bedrooms. Best part of the property was the dinning room with far off ocean view (what you see on cover photos) and large outdoor deck. The deck itself was spacious but both umbrellas had thick moss growing on them and there were cobwebs all over the shirt bushes in the stone yard. Privacy was excellent with tall bushes and trees surrounding deck to allow for a peaceful outdoor experience. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms ok. The galley kitchen was old but they did a decent job fixing it up. The place could use a more inviting living room set up and more floor rugs. Side yard area has an front door with broken brick pathway and overgrown bushes—pretty run down and slightly spooky. Bug screens had holes and other windows had no screens at all. Highway One Properties was unprofessional as far as response timing, defensiveness from management/owner about our challenges and lack of kindness. No monetary refund was given for complaints and they were defended point by point. We are very experienced travelers and this was one of the more disappointing stay experiences in four decades of traveling for the money paid. We have stayed in two other properties at Stinson beach through travel apps that were far better. We would not recommend this rental home or rental management company.

Beautiful stay in this chic, ocean view property. The space is well appointed and very comfortable. We were able to check in early due to a rainstorm. A couple of things to note- one that this property is on a steep road and beach access involves either taking a set of stairs or a steep road decent by foot. May not be ideal for elderly or with mobility impairments. Second is that note the check in process- you have to go to the property rental office which is close by but NOT at the address of the rental itself. Would be smoother if the property had a keyless keypad entry.

There is a working fireplace for the foggy nights and the beds were comfortable. The place was clean and we were quite happy. We have rented many times through Highway One Properties, and everything ran smoothly. The furnace died, but they provided space heaters. Our one complaint is that they forgot to give us a loaf of Parkside Levain, and we always look forward to that little perk.

Reviewer Comments: We absolutely loved this house and property- the elegant 40's architecture and boxwooded garden with sculptures- a very old world charm. the expansive deck was another great feature, with views of the ocean and hills.This was a refreshing change from the overly RH'ed dwellings sometime rented on sea drift-with the added safety of being uphill from the tsunami zone.
