Una casa de vacaciones de nueva construcción, Acadia Cove Cabin se encuentra en un entorno boscoso aislado en la costa de Somes Sound, el único fiordo en la costa este de los Estados Unidos. Ubicada en la frontera del Parque Nacional Acadia, y al otro lado del Somes Sound desde el famoso Sargent's Drive, esta casa de dos pisos frente al mar tiene capacidad para 8 personas y ofrece hermosas vistas del sonido, las cercanas montañas Norumbega, Sargent y Acadia, y una hermosa costa arbolada y cala privada. La cabina está ubicada en el monte. Desert Island, a solo un corto trayecto en auto de Southwest Harbor, Echo Lake y los senderos y sitios del Parque Nacional Acadia. Our long weekend at ACC was exactly perfect. The cabin is beautifully designed, decorated simply, and had above and beyond what we needed. The water views with the fall trees were breathtaking. The space is very private, and while we noticed there were other properties close when we walked down to the water, we didn’t see or hear other humans for the entirety of our stay. We couldn’t have hoped for a more perfect space or experience, and know it will stay with us for a long time.

The Perfect Stay

Quiet, beautiful and a great sized cabin. Can’t beat that view! We loved every minute of our stay. This cabin is on the quiet side of MDI which we really appreciated. We went into Acadia daily which was close and enjoyed bar harbor but then came back to a peaceful cabin. Owner was extremely kind, proactive and responsive. He answered all our questions and he checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. Would HIGHLY recommend this wonderful spot!

Beautiful View, Great Location

So much to enjoy about Acadia Cove Cabin: watching the sun rise over the mountain, the beautiful view of Somes Sound, and, of course, the close proximity to the amazing hiking and biking trails at Acadia National Park. My wife and I really enjoyed our week here.

Beautiful Getaway on Somes Sound

This lovely cabin directly on the sound has amazing views and easy access to the water should you want to dive in. John, the owner, was super helpful, and he has a paddle board for your use and a great fire pit by the water. We truly enjoyed our stay, including the location, views, great beds, beautiful great room and kitchen. Looking forward to our next stay.

Beautiful Property and Cabin

We had such a wonderful stay! The cabin and property was perfect for our group of 6. The cabin was clean and kitchen fully stocked. We had a fire pit and paddeboarded right off the property. Owner was very helpful with everything. Quiet and great location on the “quiet side” of the island. Highly recommend this property!

Wonderful and relaxing

This property is a true gem! Right on the Somes sound with amazing picture windows as well as relaxing and calm surroundings. The house is brand new and has all the amenities! John is extremely kind and helpful and the proximity to Acadia can not be beat. Our family of four stayed with our best friends (another family of four) and we were in luxurious heaven. I highly recommend this property for a peaceful and serene vacation tucked away at Acadia Cove Cabin.

The host checked in and made sure our trip was going well. The home, the accommodations were wonderful. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable; after long days of hiking in Acadia, this made rest so much easier. The picture window overlooking the sound was the favorite part of our morning.

Everything was wonderful. The beds were comfortable, the view is stunning, the location was the right amount of secluded but close to everything you would want to do. My family and I enjoyed our stay and hopefully will be back someday.

Beautiful waterside property

Wonderful week stay with 6 people (3 adults, 3 teenagers). Kitchen was very well equipped and spacious, we cooked multiple times— grill also worked very well. House was beautiful and clean, bathrooms were modern (tho as advertised, only 1 shower). 2 bedrooms below had doors, beds on 2nd floor were kind of on an open balcony but worked really well.John was beyond all expectations— was present without being obtrusive, and just lovely. We also had belongings left behind and he went way beyond call of duty. (Not to volunteer him again for that!).Only downside was that the waterside location was so perfect, we didn’t get into the park as much as we had planned, tho we did the hikes nearby which were lovely. But relaxing on hammock and had a campfire— all was more than we had asked for!

Upscale Waterfront Cabin with Spectacular Views

We stayed for a week to enjoy Acadia, hike and experience Mount Desert Island. The cabin was a perfect choice for our group of two couples with room to spare. The setting was about as perfect as it gets.

Great cabin

Loved staying at John’s cabin. It’s in a beautiful location and just a few minute drive from all the beauty Acadia has to offer. I wish I could have stayed longer. It was such a relaxing retreat for me and my friends.

Fall trip to Acadia

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at ACC cabin. It was very clean, the views are great, there’s a fire pit and a paddle board with life vests provided. It did become difficult with our group of seven having only one shower but this is clearly stated in the description. Overall, it was a great place to stay on the quiet side of Acadia!

Another fabulous stay at Acadia Cove

Once again, we enjoyed the mountains, sea, and forest of Somes Sound and Acadia. You won't find a more peaceful, tranquil house, while still being just minutes away from restaurants and shops in Southwest Harbor. We do miss having a TV, as we'd like to be able enjoy watching a movie or baseball game together as a family, instead of individually and separately huddling over iPads, but other than that it's ideal.

Wonderful week at Acadia Cove

This house is on a beautiful piece of property right on Somes Sound. Definitely away from the hustle & bustle of Bar Harbor. There was plenty of room for our party of 7, nice kitchen & living area, spacious bedrooms, and great deck with a view of the sound. The quaint town of Southwest Harbor is only a 8-10 minute drive away with a fantastic bakery & several wonderful restaurants! Echo lake beach for swimming is only a couple miles away. Very good communication with owners and some minor issues were immediately dealt with. We enjoyed our week at Acadia Cove!

Wonderful vacation spot

Can’t recommend this place enough. The views and location are a dream! We came to visit Acadia National Park which was an easy drive, but we could easily have enjoyed a vacation never leaving the cabin. Our kids loved heading down to the shore and going out on the paddle board. We loved reading in the hammock, or drinking coffee by the water or on the deck. We saw all kinds of wildlife, the weather was beautiful and John was very responsive. We would gladly come here again if we get the chance!

This new house replaced an earlier vacation home. The property has been in our family since the 1880s and we are related to Cyrus Hall, for which Hall Quarry is named. We have another home on the 9 acre property (not visible from Acadia Cove Cabin) and a family member is usually nearby during the summer rental season.
