We enjoyed our stay. Comfortable clean rooms and everything we need in the kitchen . Great location to access all the parks. Beautiful view of the Smith River.

Weekend trip

Was a great house. Had everything we needed for our trip to the coast. The house stayed extremely warm for being right on the river. There was plenty of extra blankets throughout the house if needed. The bbq and hot tub were great. We talked to the next door neighbor and she let us know the beach access is right by some geese figurines that are between the 2 properties. Next time we plan a get a way this is where we'll be staying.

Summer Stay at the River

I’ve been coming to this home for years. Because of that, I have noticed many changes and improvements. The home is an older manufactured home and while some aspects of it are dated, the Home is very comfortable, the furniture is newer, the flooring is newer, the hot tub is large and wonderful, the decks have all been refinished, and the exterior is all cleaned up and freshly painted. From my last trip less than a year ago, the brush down the hill has been cut back and the river visibility is greater. We saw a family of ducks everyday and an eagle fly by a couple of times. This is the perfect place for somebody to stay at if you just want to get away and enjoy nature. The simplicity of the home makes it one of my “go to” favorites. It has all the basics that you need and very comfortable. I will stay here time and time again.

Superb headquarters for redwoods trails

This is a nicely updated double-wide manufactured home in a superb, quiet, riverside setting near the end of a dead end road. It was only an easy 30-minute drive to the major Jedediah State Park Redwoods trailheads. The hot tub was at temperature, the grill had plenty of propane, and the house is thoughtfully stocked with everything a family would need, including a baby bed and high chair. We wished we'd had more time to enjoy the home.

The place was beautiful, location wasn’t too far from nearby crescent city and the redwoods. Only complaint was the beds weren’t as comfortable as I’d hoped.

The location overlooking the river (that should have had direct access) was amazing. The drive-thru driveway was nice, even though it was not mentioned.

Sulfur smell and stove not working

The water coming out of the tap smelled so strongly of sulfur that even just running the water would make the entire house stink. Property manager told us that it wasn’t safe to drink the water, but this was only after I reached out to ask. The stove is not working. I read a review from 2022. That said it wasn’t working then.. Seems like the stove doesn’t work on a regular basis because there is a plug-in stove readily available. The hot tub was caked with a disgusting yellow grime that I suppose comes from the sulfur in the water, but rendered it useless to us. Otherwise, otherwise, clean as advertised.

Potential

Perfect location, layout of the house and view from the huge deck! However, many updates/fixes need to be made. During our stay we dealt with no stovetop (was brought a hot plate), hot tub jets didn’t work proper due to FLO error, toilet leak, shower door doesn’t close and an overall musty smell by one of the bathrooms. Overall, a decent place, but more issues than I want to deal with on vacation. Was promised monetary discount for our trouble, unfortunately no follow up yet.

Exactly what we were looking for

Nice, Quiet Home

Plenty of room, kitchen well stocked, comfortable beds. Down a quiet street with no noise from neighbors or the road. This was a good rental. Recommended!

Not as expected

We booked this stay because of the images of the view of the river from the deck and access to a hot tub. To our disappointment, there was no view of the river from the deck as the shore line was overgrown with foliage/brush over 6ft high from the deck level. This is in contradiction to the images posted on VRBO. I am not sure when the images of the river view were originally taken but the overgrowth has to be at least 3 years old. The hot tub needed cleaning and servicing as the filter did not appear to be replaced or spray cleaned for quite some time. There some items in the house that should be tended to as well: worn out electrical outlets, plumbing fixtures(in both showers), front screen door, unstable toilet in master bath, master shower door and an outlet box to be secured from pulling out from the wall in the bedroom #2.

Redwood Wedding

We chose this place for our stay because we needed plenty of room to get ready for our wedding. The pictures don’t do the property justice. It was truly a wonderful place to stay. We will most definitely be coming back if we are in the area! Thank you!!!!

Pleasant home by the water -quiet with lots of birds

We got there late one evening. The home is open along the river. Quiet and relaxing. Fire pit and rear porch are great - we enjoyed them. Great starting point for the ocean and redwoods. Seafood in town is 20 min away. River is nice although the shrubbery has grown up since the online photo. Northern lights came on - fantastic! This is an older home - needs a few minor improvements but the management company was very responsive to a couple issues we found.

Simple and Comfty and CLEAN!

A blast to the past, with the ornate details all well maintained. Everything you need to have a comfortable time next to the river is provided for you, from a wonderful fire pit, and hot tup facing the river to lawn chairs and things to take to explore the surrounding areas. What sets this apart is how clean most things were (with an exception to dishware which just needed a little rinse & pots which need a good scrub). We also enjoyed how large the space was once you arrived you could spread out or be close with your family. It rained our entire stay, so it was nice to have the flexibility and extra space.

My return visit

I am a return guest. I love and appreciate this rural property and the views from the back deck. The home is very simple and easy to use. Everything was clean and spotless. The WiFi service was good and I received adequate check in information and house instructions from Vacasa. Easy, no hassle, self-checkin. The weather was challenging, but that added to the experience of the home being cozy and comfortable. I plan to be a repeat guest to this home and recommend to my friends looking for a budget friendly, river access home in a beautiful part of California.

Peaceful stay

This home was as advertised. This is a manufactured home, right along the Smith river. Vacasa’s self check-in was easy, all the home information was conveniently provided, the house was very clean and the layout of the home is spacious and comfortable. The home had all the basics that anyone would need. It has a fantastic deck in the back with a perfectly placed hot tub where you can sit and enjoy the view of nature. There is a walkway to the river, although the weather was not favorable it was nice to know it was there. The home is simple and very user-friendly. I would definitely stay here again, or recommend this property and Vacasa to others.

Hight vacation

Really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to friends and family. House was very clean, amazing view from the back deck, well supplied. Lol…. Watch out for the puzzle with the three missing peace’s. Looking forward to booking this again very soon.
