The Sea Gem did not disappoint. The home and amenities were just as pictured/stated. The layout was just right with plenty of room to accommodate our family reunion. We especially loved the open concept of the kitchen, dining and lounging space that we all felt together when cooking, eating or watching football. We will keep the Sea Gem on our list to return in the future.

The home was prefect for our group of 9 friends. View from the upstairs livingroom and balcony was spectacular. This place the bedrooms were downstairs with a small kitchen and living room area. Upstairs housed all 9 of us for dinning, cooking and lounging. Such a great experience!

We had the best time at sea gem! It was the perfect long weekend getaway with friends and our dogs! It had a lovely beach view and so many amazing amenities for the beach and at the house! We would love to come back!

The only complaint I have is there was not much toilet paper and paper towels. When you look on the website, it stated that toilet paper and paper towels would be provided.

Great Family Birthday Celebration Location

My three brothers and I celebrated my mom’s birthday by arriving from all over the country to stay in the Sea Gem. It was spectacular. The living accommodations and outside space were perfect for our great get together. We loved that it was so close to the beach.

This home was by far one of the most beautiful vacation homes we have stayed in. There is no way you could not enjoy yourself from all the gear to spend a day at the beach with toys for water umbrellas and chairs for relaxing in sun, body boards for water

Wonderful Stay

We had a wonderful stay at Sea Gem. The house was beautiful, and the upstairs living area was so comfortable with the prettiest views of the ocean and beach. There was plenty of room for 10 of us, with many different areas to hang out at that we never felt we were on top of each other. The beach was a short few minute walk and never busy, with beautiful sand and clean waters. The backyard was so much fun with all the games and activities, we spent a few nights just enjoying that. The hosts were most responsive with a few little things that popped up, and there was everything you need there for the beach, cooking, cleaning and entertainment. It was a fantastic vacation and we highly recommend the Sea Gem.

Great Place for our College Reunion

We had 11 guys get together for basically a 30 year college reunion. We practically lived in the backyard, sitting by the fire pit telling stories, grilling, playing bocce ball and cornhole, etc. The beds were very comfortable, and the huge couch in the great room was also a great place to sleep/nap as well (you could sleep 4 people comfortably on that alone) This place was also a 2 minute walk from the Ocean, 2 miles from a Publix store, and was within a mile from multiple restaurants. We brought beach supplies, but the Sea Gem already had everything needed for a day at the beach (umbrella, chairs, footballs, a beach buggy to carry them, etc.) If you want a great ocean spot that is also quiet and laid back (and has great accommodations), the Sea Gem will not disappoint you.

Wedding party family

This property is 5-Stars across the board, is more beautiful than pictured, which often is the opposite. The only negative is the 2nd doorstep from 2nd side driveway is hard to see, which resulted in my son rolling his ankle walking out. It’s due to step up being camouflaged due to being only a couple inches higher than driveway and made from same color pavers as driveway. He was ok and this was the only negative. Beach house was very clean, had all the supplies we needed, tons of activities for our family during our wedding weekend, tons of beach toys to use as well. Navigating to and parking was easy, lots of spaces. Loved, it and communication from host was stellar, frequent and accommodating.

The upstairs view of the beach is great. Awesome space for our group of friends. Plenty to do and room to spread out. The king bed in the master was like sleeping on a cloud.

Sea Gem vacation

House was not as clean as it should have been. We were told to remove our shoes and the upstairs kitchen/family room floor was gritty/dirty. The shower in the family space upstairs should have safety bars. The trash barrels were both half full upon our arrival so we had to put paper items in cans with no lids. No plastic wrap and aluminium foil in the kitchen.

Would Definitely Stay Again

The property was amazing overall and extremely clean considering pets are allowed. My toy poodle accompanied us as well. Anything you could possibly need or want was already there for guest use. The host(s) were very thoughtful when choosing amenities for this house. As for the not so perfect items like the master bathroom's electrical outlet not working and a blown bulb or the TV in one of the bedrooms not pulling up the guide, those were just minor annoyances. There was, however, a substantial carpenter ant issue on the property grounds. An exterminator was there an hour after being reported and decreased the number in the backyard dramatically. There were still a few up on the deck, but only one was actually found inside the house. The quick response to the ants by property management was awesome. Now on to the not so great response. On the first night, one of the chairs in the upstairs dining area broke, sending my 72 year-old aunt crashing to the floor. Once we picked her up, we could see that the chair had been previously repaired. Supports had been added underneath to the one leg that buckled. The person who answered the call for property management showed no empathy whatsoever. When I pointed out the fact that there was a previous repair present, he said, "Things break. We repair them so this doesn't happen." Obviously, that was a contradictory statement. Compassion does not equal liability. Sometimes people just want to know that someone undestands and/or cares.

Family Beach Week

The property was perfect for a large group of older teens and adults. Loved that there was plenty of parking and multiple entrances/exits for those who needed to commute to work. We enjoyed the beach view and amenities the house offered. Since we have stayed at rentals in St. Augustine for two decades, I will say this house was one of the best stocked with cooking supplies, towels, beach toys, and general immediate needs like soaps, TP, etc. Owners are generous to leave so many things for renters. Nothing is completely perfect all the time. We had a few concerns with the (upstairs) air conditioner and WiFi, but The Proper Group was quick to respond and attempt to correct our issues. A/C technician they sent was great and even came back to check on us. He said he would be in after our stay to try more options to correct the situation. Comcast also arrived as we were departing, so I feel like they will resolve the connectivity too. Things happen when you own a home and rentals are no different, so we did not let it "rain" on our vacation. Neighbors were great too. We even had a concert two evenings from the gentleman next door playing his sax and guitar on the upper porch. He asked for requests and all the homes around came out on their balconies to enjoy. Definite beach vibe. Recommend this location!

Lovely Butler Beach Home

Our family of 10 (includes 6 kids) had a wonderful stay at this rental. Beautiful beach to walk to with a lifeguard. The home had everything you could need. Backyard was great. 9 minute drive to St. Augustine beach/pier. 5 minute drive to groceries. We definitely plan on coming back in the future.
