Everything was perfect. The house was clean, decorated nicely and very comfortable. We brought our bass boat and kept it at the dock. There was an electric cord ready for at the dock to connect. Everything was thought of prior to our visit. Any questions we had were answered kindly and promptly. Thank you for allowing us in your very adorable house.

Hammond Stay

This is our second stay, we love the Cottage, location and the fishing. Water level at the dock was adequate for our 16" Lund boat. Mike is very responsive and a great host. We plan on coming back again.

Relaxing Retreat

Perfect location for 1000 Islands Vacation!

This is our second time staying in one of Michael’s properties, which are next door to each other. Just like last year the house was perfect and the owners communicated wonderfully and stopped by to say hello and make sure we had everything we needed for the perfect vacation. The dock held both of our boats and it was awesome to just walk out back, untie, and spend the days fishing for giant St. Lawrence smallmouth!

Beautiful Location

The property was in a beautiful quiet location with a large yard with great access to the water! Would definitely stay again. The only thing I would change would be to have better air conditioning. The majority of our stay was in the high high 80’s with high humidity and the bedroom air conditioners did not cool off the great room with high ceilings effectively, but even with that we would stay again!

The house is very nice, clean, and comfortable. The location and view is beautiful. We brought kayaks and rented a pontoon boat, the dock is great for both. It was a great week!

The house was perfect for our family of 5. It was relaxing and had such a peaceful vibe, The yard is huge and the view is beautiful. We were able to take the boat out often and found a great state park on an island for swimming and a picnic. We look forward to returning.

Accommodating cottage

Loved the cottage! Very clean and accommodating! The owners were very helpful and friendly. The only issue we had was that the bay water was low and we could not use our boat. The depth was fine for the jet ski. We needed to walk it out to the deeper part of the bay in order to use it. Nice sandy bottom when you get out there!

We enjoyed boating, fishing and the serenity only nature can provide. The house was well stocked and the owners were responsive. We highly recommend this place and hope to return someday.

Great location

Other than the low water level in the bay, the house is awesome. Great views. Great yard. Close- 15 to 20 minutes- to everything: Alexandria, marina, groceries etc

Beautiful Getaway!

This place was exactly what we were looking for! Beautiful waterfront property with lots of outdoor space! It was too cold while we were there, but the water off the dock was shallow enough to swim in. The house had everything we could possibly need (Dish-wear, towels, washer/dryer, soap etc) It’s very secluded and private, yet it’s only a 15 minute drive to Alex Bay/shopping. Overall a great find!

Beautiful Views!

Nice location with beautiful views! The home is lovely and very clean. The owners even put in window AC units for us after I asked about ac. We really had a nice relaxing stay.

Fantastic views, the River never disappoints.

As advertised, very clean, very comfortable property with an amazing, unique view of the River. If you get the chance- go here, period. Very reasonable cost for the natural setting and beauty.

A Hidden Gem

We were able to book this cabin last minute because of a cancellation and boy, did we luck out! Super easy to book and the owners were very helpful and accommodating. Sue and Mike had everything you could possibly need. Everything was so clean and stocked. The views were amazing! The large yard for lounging and having fires was so relaxing and the beautiful bay to swim in was our favorite. You will not be disappointed!

Great vacation rental

We stayed here the week before July 4th. The house was great, beautiful lawn, right on Chippewa Bay! We shared the dock with the neighboring house (also rented out by the same owners). Was not a problem. Not the best spot for swimming as the water depth is around 3 foot at the end of the dock and bottom is a bit muddy. We found a near by State Park with an Olympic size swimming pool and enjoyed that for swimming. My brother in law brought his kayaks and we enjoyed using them. Easy launching from shore. We also used the owner’s row boat for fishing, which was a plus. The owners are very nice and were great to work with. We would highly recommend the house and would definitely stay here again!
