Incredible on all levels

Better than the photos if you can even believe it. Such a cool vibe. Outdoor space immaculate. Walk through the jungle to the woods so easy and quick like 5 mins. Loved it so much and want to go back asap!!!

Christmas with the family

We spent our Christmas here with our family. What a well designed, spacious home with an easy walk to Playa Hermosa! The pool was large and clean with plenty of loungers for all of us. Great Christmas for us!

Casa Lalu stay

We had a great time! We went with our family and two small children. Our favorite part was the jungle walk to the beach! Made it easy to visit the beach a lot. Lots of good restaurants around but best to drive or take an ATV/4 wheeler into town. We rented a car and glad we did as it can be very humid! Pool was really nice, and we loved the outdoor shower after coming home from the beach.

Unforgettable!

Everything about this property is amazing. The location, the flora/fauna, the staff, the 3 minutes to the most beautiful beach, and the proximity to the bustling town of Santa Teresa. Hermosa is quiet and friendly, great waves, gorgeous sunsets. The house is a place you want to be in the heat of the day, after surfing all morning. Lounging on the outdoor sofas, and playing in the pool is very relaxing. Edgar and Tanis were there for anything you needed help with. Tania clearly has her finger on the pulse of the area. Brett, the manager was super laid back and easy to work with. Really hope we can come again! Pura Vida!!

The absolute BEST!!

This is my favorite rental property we have ever stayed at. The photos do no do justice to just how nice this place is. The layout of the home is excellent. There is so much privacy here by the pool area but access to the beach is just a quick walk through the jungle. We had our 3 children with us, would go to the beach for a few hours a day and then come play in the pool the rest of the time. They absolutely loved it. A groundskeeper is there every day to make sure all the outside areas are tidy. There is housecleaning available each day, though we found that every other day was sufficient for us. The kitchen is beautiful and is a joy to cook in. The consierge was able to book everything we wanted to do at very good prices. Could not ask for a better experience. We hope to come back again and again.

Amazing house in amazing location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this incredible home. It was more spacious and comfortable than it appears in pictures. Beds were very comfortable and the layout and flow of the house was amazing for 6 of us (ages 13-18 plus two adults). We really enjoyed the pool and outdoor area, and the proximity to a wonderful beach. The kitchen was very well equipped with utensils, dishes, pots and pans, etc., but did not have any cooking basic essentials stocked like salt, pepper, sugar, or oil. Communication and help from Brett (property manager), Katy (concierge), and Edgar (groundskeeper) were great. Edgar was there every morning before 7am making sure all of the outdoor areas were pristine. He was so nice that he surprised us by washing our car one morning! We had trouble with Internet service not functioning the first two nights which was a major inconvenience as cell reception is almost non-existent at this location, but Katy and Brett put pressure on the Internet service provider and were able to get them out to repair the line eventually and all was smooth after that. We would definitely return to this amazing home!

Casa Lalu

Just returned from a week at Casa Lalu. Went down with my 16 year old son, his friend and another father and his two teenage boys for a surf trip. What a great time! Katy, the house manager, was great to work with. Very responsive, helpful and accommodating, a joy to work with. The house is beautiful. It actually felt like a home that someone lived in all the time. From the artwork on the walls to the utensils in the kitchen. Everything we needed. The house has a very strong Japanese influence to the design of not only the interior but to the gardens and vegetation around the home. The interior is beautiful with a great layout for the rooms and living spaces. The exterior living space is phenomenal! The lounging area by the pool is large and comfortable, the hammocks are great nap places after a surf, the outdoor table is a great place to eat and play cards. When having late afternoon drinks sitting in the lounge area by the pool the jungle feels like you are in an immersive experience with the monkeys, birds and butterflies coming right up to the pool. The walk to Playa Hermosa takes minutes and is very convenient. We were about a 10 minute drive from the restaurants in the north end of Santa Teresa which made it very convenient if you are looking for something close yet away from the traffic and noise. Would absolutely recommend the home to anyone wanting a place that you could really just hang out at all day if you wanted. If we had to point out one area that we had difficulty with it was the mattresses and that is a very personal choice. They are firm mattresses which made it difficult for some of the people to sleep but again everyone is different when it comes to mattresses. Overall this is one of the best homes I have stayed at for a complete experience.

Luxury in the jungle away from the crowds

If we could still be there, we would. This is the perfect home if you enjoy mid century architecture, surrounded by a lush jungle, only steps to the beach with a sparkling pool any of the day. The home offers pure serenity with all the hustle and bustle of Santa Teresa onky 5 minutes away. The daily cleaning was a pleasant surprise and our concierge offered valuable services on more than one occasion, including a home visit after hours for our Covid tests required for travel back to the states. Thank you for a lovely vacation we will never forget.

Xmas getaway

Amazing house, California cool meets Costa Rica zen! I came with my 3 sons, all who are in their early 20’s and they didn’t want to leave the property except to surf. The house is well appointed, an amazing blue tooth speaker which we loved using. Beds were super comfy, and the house manager is very responsive. She set up ATV’s to be delivered and even sent the local doc to do our Covid test before we headed home so we didn’t have to deal with the dust and traffic in town. It was a truly wonderful experience and we would definitely choose this property again.

Incredible property

Amazing location, wildlife and flora on property and extremely helpful staff. Big thank you to Edgar the groundskeeper who helped me at 6 in the morning changing a tire on our truck on day 1! Concierge Tania kept us busy with activities and was always helpful when we were in a jam. Picked up groceries for us when our truck was out of service. So grateful. Amazing beach just a quick jungle trail from the house. Pictures don’t do the house justice. The jungle views from the pool are out of this world. Perfect first family trip to Santa Teresa!

Luxury in the jungle !

The house was absolutely perfect and added to a wonderful overall adventure for our family in the Santa Teresa area which was a great home base area to experience the Pura Vida in Costa Rica! Brett was very responsive and helpful as well as Tania, the concierge. We had monkeys, an iguana, many colorful birds and butterflies in our backyard with many beautiful mature green trees, mango and banana trees. Overall, the house was just perfect !

Paradise

Secluded yet accessible to Santa Teresa, clean, immaculate grounds, AMAZING beach with clear warm water and great surfing just 200 meters away through a jungle with clear path. Highly recommend ATVs that can be delivered on Request. Place provided among my best getaways!! Def going back! And, Concierge (Tania) is superb!

Perfect Home away from home

This spacious mid century inspired house in Hermosa valley offers all the comforts of being in your own home. While it’s nestled in a beautiful tropical garden and surrounded by massive trees and lush jungle it’s only 3 min walk to playa Hermosa, on the beach side. The most magical beach with stunning sunsets. The house is bright, spacious and clean. Absolutely loved our stay at Casa Lalu and highly recommend it.
