The Beach House was a perfect vacation home for a short or extended stay! This beautifully appointed home was right on the beach and a short walk to local restaurants and shops. The concierge made sure we had a fantastic stay and the staff who came daily were an added bonus. It was by far one of our best VRBO experiences.

Slice of paradise

This property does not disappoint. The description and pictures are accurate. The concierge Sophie was very helpful and communicative. Our family loved the beach, the pool, and the outdoor areas for relaxing. The house is within walking distance of many great restaurants - no car or ATV needed. Enjoy the sunsets and long walks on the great beach right in front of the house.

Spring Break Trip

We had a wonderful time staying at this property. The size of the house is very comfortable for six people.Location was great and right on the beach with walking distance to restaurantsThere is excellent serve directly out in front of the property as well as a short walk down the beach. Our concierge, Sophie was very attentive to all of our needs and quick to respond. The staff did a very nice job of cleaning daily inside and out and we also hired a Cook, Edra, for a couple of days who made delicious meal.We had a wonderful vacation and will definitely be back.

The Perfect Beach House

We had an amazing stay at the Beach House. The location couldn’t have been better. The beach is obviously right in front of you and the house is walking distance from restaurants and shops. The rooms were large and beautifully decorated as were the living room and outside areas. One bedroom is a bit separate from the rest which is great for privacy. We are already planning to come back

Beautiful house with a great location.

The property was well kept with cleaning staff to keep it tidy everyday. The location was perfect and steps to the ocean. Danielle was always available and very helpful with planning our excursions. I would definitely recommend this house!

Best vacation experience ever

The house is perfect - nicely appointed, quality, clean, located on the most beautiful beach, walking distance to excellent food... can’t say enough good things about this experience!! Sitting in the pool watching the waves, enjoying a dinner on the patio, walking down the beach for epic sunsets, surfing, gathering shells, so many great memories. We are coming back!!

Great location.

beautiful property, great location on the beach, easy access to sites around Santa Teresa. Note that "sleeps 8" means three bedrooms each with double beds and two with single futons. cleaning and concierge services are excellent. Note that there is a full kitchen but no on-site laundry. We would definitely return.

Amazing Villa!

The Villa has been our best experience quality-price in Costa Rica. It literally has it all: it's super safe, just in front of the best beach in town, and a great surf break, newly renovated... there's not much more one can ask for. 2 adults. 5 teenage boys, 1 college aged daughter. Surf and adventure trip. This house was very well managed and taken care of. Any issue was immediately resolved. Sophie was very attentive, and easily accessible. Each day the house was cleaned while we were out surfing, magically restored to normal (5 teenage boys!). Banana Beach next door is nice to have. Private gated drive w security guard in community gave peace of mind, though there was never a concern over safety. Perfectly situated in town next to amenities including ATV rental, and car rental (Avis). The boys called it the best trip of their life. Already planning their next return. Thank you to Sophie and the staff.

Absolutely outstanding, I can't say enough good things about this property and its management. I will start with the management. Daniella the property manager was in touch with us daily. So pleasant and highly responsive to all requests. Nothing was too much for her. As one might expect the odd issue came up but everything was fixed as soon as possible. The house is in excellent condition - very luxurious. The location right on the beach with magnificent sunset views could not have been better - and we know this because this is our 10th trip to Costa Rica and 4th to Santa Teresa/Mal Pais area. Great swimming and very conveniently locates within walking distance to a number of outstanding restaurants. I have no hesitation recommending this rental to anyone interested in exploring this most beautiful of places.

A True Gem

Truly in the heart of Santa Teresa, each family member found things to love about this property. Our 86 year old mother enjoyed the outdoor living, and the ability to see the ocean and watch the surfers from the patio. Our 2 daughters in their early 20's love the ability to walk to nearby shops, restaurants and bars, and enjoyed lounging on the chaises in the yard. My husband loved the surf break just outside of the property, and I loved my morning yoga classes at Casa Zen--just a 5 minute beach walk from the house. Many restaurants are within walking distance--the closest being Banana Beach, right next door. They play music nightly, and hosted a New Year's Eve party that went well into the next morning! We loved the fireworks and energy (the loud music did not bother us, but it might bother others). The kitchen space is a bit minimal, and not designed for cooking extensive meals, but when we cooked in it was more than adequate. Finally, there are some nocturnal critters that did on occasion wake us in the night. Sophie, Sophia and Miguel did a fine job of making us feel at home. We plan to return!

Great location and home!

We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a beach trip to STCR. We have been coming to the area for 20 years and built and owned a home nearby up until a few years ago. We have stayed at many places in the area and this is one of our absolute favorites. You cannot beat the location and beach proximity. It's so wonderful to be able to chill on your porch and still see the waves. The house is far enough from the main road and part of a little community that it feels tucked away. One thing to note, which we didnt see in the description is that the 3rd bedroom has a separate entrance, so if you are traveling with kids, as we were, it may not work for you. We wound up not really using the 3rd bedroom bc of that, but it was fine. The bedrooms are spacious with plenty of room. They have done such a wonderful job with the decor. One other thing to note is although the listing says there is a washer and dryer, it is not accessible to guests, you need to hire the housekeeper to do your laundry for you. The groundskeeper and housekeeper are lovely, and Sophie the concierge is available should you need help with anything. We look forward to returning to the area and will definitely refer our friends to this home when they travel to the area, and would definitely choose it again for our next stay!

Incredible location!!

The property was in the absolute best location, right next door to a great restaurant (banana beach) and within walking distance of many incredible shops and food. The home was beautiful and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Concierge: Sophie was responsive and personable. As long as we planned ahead on things including coordinating a nanny, a crib and high chair for our baby, groceries shopping, restaurant reservations, fishing trips - she was on it! The housecleaner was also fantastic, although some of our clothing was ruined in the wash. And maintenance was fabulous as well. I must say, the pool was not in great condition. Many of the tiles were falling off or into the pool and you could not see bottom which was a little off putting. You could hear the base of banana beach restaurant at night as well. There was also a ton of wildlife around the house (cats, crabs, dogs, iguanas, monkeys, raccoons, squirrels, frogs and a mosquitos) and even in the house (spiders, crabs, and ants) so also be prepared for nature and all its glory. Overall it was a fabulous trip and a great place with great staff. A few upgrades to the pool and not having our clothes destroyed would have made it 5 stars.

Beyond Expectations

There are so many amazing things to say that this review will not do it justice. This Villa was beautiful. It was clean and renovated in a very tasteful way. The second we walked in we were in love. The view from the terrace was such a spectacular surprise. We knew it was on the beach but our view was "the beach" Even at night you hear the waves crashing. We we there with our 2 boys 11&13 that had wanted to go surfing in Costa Rica for years. After a lot of research we ended up in Santa Teresa. Truly the perfect location for surfing. This area is more for adventure and relaxing. I would say surfing, horseback riding, ATV, and hiking the water falls. We never made it to the snorkeling trip but I hear its great. My brother and his 2 kids stayed on the property as well and their son had never surfed. After 2 days he was catching some nice waves. The instructors in this area are fabulous. Back to the Villa, the best part of all was the lovely people in charge of this property. Danielle was one of the most beautiful people I have ever met. She was extremely helpful and accommodating . Emilya was also lovely. This place is truly a slice of heaven!!!! Thank you so so much and we will see you again soon!!! My boys miss you and their new home in Costa!!!

Amazing!

Thank you Vered for sharing your home! I really appreciate all of your help leading up to our travel. The Beach House was nothing short of amazing. We had the best time using the outdoor space and enjoying the beautiful beachfront views. While staying at the house, Vered connected us with Danielle. She was local and a great resource. We used her to bounce ideas off of for best places to surf, good restaurants, close excursions, etc. There were two caretakers on the property as well, Maria and Mauricio. The home and property were spotless. They really went above and beyond to ensure everything looked very nice and that we had everything we needed (fresh towels, propane and a clean grill, etc). I traveled with my husband and we met up with 2 other couples who we shared the house with. Vered had let us know that the roads in Santa Teresa were not paved and recommended ATVs. We decided to rent a golf cart that seated 6 for our entire visit, and rented ATVs just 1 of our days. Blue Zone Buggy arranged to have the golf cart delivered the morning after we arrived. We really enjoyed not having a car and would opt for the golf cart / ATV route again. Some of our restaurant favorites while in Santa Teresa: Breakfast/Coffee Spots - The Bakery and La Gilda Lunch Spot - The Taco Corner Dinner Spots - Katana, Amici, and Zuma **A lot of shops and restaurants were cash only. There is a bank in town. I recommend getting some of the local currency when you arrive. Grocery Store - We loved Ronny’s and ended up doing a lot grilling because it was so convenient. Fun things to do outside of Santa Teresa: Isla Tortuga - we went with Cabo Blanco. Victor was our captain and Wender was the chef. Great guys. We saw dolphins, went snorkeling, and Victor spotted a green sea turtle for us to watch from the boat for a bit. So cool. Surf Lessons at Hermosa Beach - Happy Days with Alonso and Ronnie (@Banana Beach). They were recommended by Danielle. We had a blast, and everyone was able to surf by the end. Motezuma Falls and Butterfly Brewery - we drove ATVs over to Montezuma and then hiked into see the falls. We parked in the bottom lot and ran into Crazy Carlos. You will find him on Trip Advisor. We also stopped at Butterfly Brewery on our way back. This was a great day trip. The ATVs are perfect for all of the unpaved bumpy roads.

Our stay at the Beach House, Santa Teresa was simply amazing! Immediately after booking, Sophie was in touch with us and was incredibly responsive whenever we had a question throughout our stay. When we arrived, she was there to meet us and help us get settled in, including a run down on lights, AC settings, pool settings, housekeeping, security…just everything; it was fantastic. The house was very clean and comfortable and we really felt as though we were immersed in paradise. The view was absolutely incredible, we could watch sunsets from the large and comfortable lounges out in the yard. Special for us was that we brought our older dog and he loved the easy walk through the grass yard and right on to the beach (and into the surf!). The bedrooms and bathrooms were very large and we had plenty of storage and shelf space. Sophie also connected us with an incredible local gentleman (Jason) for a tour of Santa Teresa and Playa Hermosa. She also arranged for a great masseuse (Iliana)! I am not sure what else to say other than that we wish we could have stayed for even longer than the almost two weeks. Thanks for giving us the true Pura Vida experience!

Wonderful stay

Being at the beach with a pool was magical. Our family really enjoyed the home and our time here. Sereen was an incredible host. We are looking forward to staying here again in the future.

Gorgeous views

Beautiful home right on the beach. There is a restaurant one lot over with pretty good food (more on that below). House was very clean and comfortable. We spent the majority of our time in the outdoor areas. Overall a very nice property and we would return. Pros: Very attentive property manager, assisted us with Mula rentals and dinner reservations. Grounds keeper and housecleaner were wonderful. Outdoor space is unbelievable with many lounging areas so guests can spread out. Pool is lovely with a shallow end to sit in during hot days. Private yard with beautiful landscaping. Nicely appointed bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. AC in all rooms was excellent. Steps to the beach. Howler monkeys came through several mornings. Security guard at night although I’m not sure if that was good or bad…. Cons: There is construction next door, they worked seven days a week so our dream of listening to the waves crashing only came true around 5pm - but then the music from the restaurant next door started ;). The grounds keeper is there all day most days so there wasn’t a lot of privacy. He wasn’t obtrusive but we weren’t expecting that. It is a bit of a trek to get there (nothing to do with the house just a very long drive from Liberia). You need to have transportation there, we rented “Mula’s” (four-seater ATV’s) to get around. We stay almost exclusively in vacation rentals rather than hotels and this one makes our top 5 list - just ask about any construction before booking if quiet is important to you.
