Absolutely beautiful

Girls trip and we had such a great stay. The weather wasn’t always perfect but it didn’t matter because we could sit on the balcony or in the living room and just enjoy the ocean from there:) Clean place would defy stay again:)

Everything was great!

The unit was very nice, the only complaint was that the mattresses were pretty broken down. Otherwise great stay!

Great!

Condo was excellent and management was very quick with anything we needed. My only complaint is that it’s time for the Pelican to update their hotel. Once again doesn’t reflect on the actual condo it was great.

Destin

The condo was clean. Needs some Maintenace TLC. Frig door wouldn’t seal. They did come the next morning. The master headboard knocks against the wall every time you move. The sheets in the master were pilled and terribly uncomfortable. One of the faucets in the master bathroom was loose. The door to the master shower won’t open near the shower head No cocktail glasses. It was nice and quiet. Nice pool. Great location. The decor was nice. Front desk folks were great. Easy parking. Great view.

Disappointed

There is a total lack of communication with managing company. The check in process in a mad house. Standing in line waiting for luggage carts and an elevator. Our condo had sand on the couch, counter tops and floors. There were dishes with dried food on them in cabinets. My wife had to re-wash every dish we used. Just like some of the other reviews the beach sucks!! Unless you pay hundreds of dollars you have no view of the ocean on the beach. If you take your chair down to the water they will make you go back behind the beach service line. It gives off the vibe that unless you have beach service you aren’t important. The waitresses that work the tiki bar on the beach only serve the one with beach service unless you call them over. The condo itself has the minimum luckily we brought our own cooking utensils. The owner definitely doesn’t spend much to keep just decent stuff in the kitchen. The coffee cups are like a little kids tea party set. I will say the condo is nice and the view from the condo is good. But it was a huge disappointment. We will not stay there again. We took a chance on trying somewhere new and huge failure.

Overall a great experience

We’ve stayed at this resort multiple times so we knew we could count on a great location with great amenities. This was our 1st time staying in this specific room (our go-to location was subject to renovations from the HOA the week of our stay). The room was spacious, the deck was large with magnificent views of the Gulf of Mexico, and it included the basics needed to be able to use the full kitchen which is always a plus. The ceiling fan in the bedroom was loose and made a lot of noise so we could only use it on low. The mattress was surprisingly comfy (they seem to be hit or miss on VRBO). Our only issue during our stay was that the front desk had signs posted that they had a pest company that would be spraying the rooms across 3 days and a rather large window of time (10-3). We asked the front desk what day they would be doing our floor so that we could plan around it (making sure we have our belongings secure, aren’t napping or naked etc) as that is quite the inconvenience when this isn’t a traditional hotel with daily housekeeping (which we prefer not to have and attracts us to stay with VRBO). The front desk had no answers, so we reached out to the rental manager to see if the HOA had communicated anything more precise and to see if they could just plan to do our room on the 3rd day (since that would be after we check out and before the next guest could check in). They were quick to respond that they were not made aware of this bug spraying and that they’d contact the resort to try to arrange for the 3rd day. As a precaution we locked up our valuables that first day of spraying as a precaution - I was glad I had brought a suitcase lock (intended to use on our cooler). Then on our last full day (day 2 of potential spraying) we were woken up to the sound of two men talking inside our kitchen at 9AM (a full hour before the notice said they would potentially be spraying). This is a very alarming situation to be awoken to to say the least. We told them to leave, and called the front desk to make them aware and the front desk was very confused stating that it couldn’t be anyone affiliated with them as they do not have the passcodes to enter the rooms that are hosted by 3rd parties. They told us we would need to contact our rental agency to find out who entered our room. I reached out to the rental agency and there was no reply. We had proceed w/the remainder of our trip on edge that someone would enter and unclear how they obtained our code.

This place is awesome! You have everything you need and what you don’t have everything is close by!

We took our mom to Florida to see the emerald coast line she was in awe! She would just sit for hours on the balcony watching the water and waves roll in. Our mother has never really left Ohio she was in heaven from the resort to seeing the dolphins from our balcony in the morning! Would most definitely recommend this resort!

We had a wonderful experience at this property. It was a perfect room for our young toddlers- they loved the amenities at the property. Everyone was so kind and helpful!

Great trip

We had a great time at this condo in Destin. The unit was great and very accommodating for our family of 6. The beach area was more crowded than we expected and we did not realize how large the chair service area would be. We enjoyed the Tiki Hut for several drink options and kids greatly enjoyed all Virginia drink options.

Excellent spot

Pros:This is a very beautiful unit. On the beach with clear view of the sea and a large balcony. We saw lots of dolphins right from the balcony, especially early in the morning. It was nicely cleaned unit. Thus the five star. Cons: Even though the listing said fully equipped kitchen, some essential items were missing. I had to find my own oven mittens, chopping board and a wooden spatula. The cookware is old too. A kitchen is only good if there is good essential cookware. About the overall property: I was disappointed to see personal beach chairs were only allowed strictly behind 3 rows of paid beach chairs (which half were unoccupied) thus making the whole area crowded. only 2 elevators worked in the main lobby of this huge building and the hot tub was only operational the first day we arrived, never saw it working again. make sure you have door code before you arrive, it took us 30mins to get hold of someone on the phone to get us a code when we got there.
