Lake access

Stay was great, neighbor complained about fireworks when they were clearly doing them everywhere around us in the neighborhood, I thought from the pictures that it would have lake access but there is nowhere nearby to access the water without driving a few miles, overall a good stay though

So Relaxing!

This place is greatness! Country living with close access to grocery and convenience stores! Fine dining at Fig's Steakhouse which we went to and was amazing! The peace and quiet is what me and my wife love the most! We love this place and how easy it is to interact with Michelle and Faren. Highly recommend! We will rent again!

Quite neighborhood, right by the lake.

Clean and tidy. Very quiet neighborhood. Owner has a hilarious sense of humor. The decor was eclectic and hilarious.

Relaxing trip

Nice property with all the amenities. Enjoyed the patio and grill. Small dog run on the side of the house was a bonus for our pups. Great communication with host.

Great Host for the Lakehouse

Nice, secluded lake house. Michelle was awesome. The property was pretty much what we expected. Lots of nice little extras.

Great little place!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Loved the peace and quite! The place was clean and tidy, and the bed was comfortable. We cooked our own food and everything you need is there utensil wise. The wife and I have always wanted to move to the country and for us this little place provides an awesome taste of that. We will definitely rent again!

House was amazing and comfortable. Had everything we needed for our long weekend stay. I loved all the corky funny signs all over the house. Made me feel right at home. One recommendation would be a step by step map of where the light switches are and what goes to what. After 3 days I still don’t think I knew where all the switches were or what switch went to what light 😂

Comfy Getaway

Enjoyable weekend/with some problems

The home was very nice and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. the one minute walk to the lake is incorrect. There is no lake access. All properties on the lake shore are private property. We wanted to do some fishing and had to drive up to Gun Barrel City to access the lake. TV service is poor at best. The signal was constantly dropping in and out.

24th anniversary trip

We took a week and stayed at two different places. Your place was the second stay in our trip, and we absolutely adore your house. The weather was not conducive to going to the Canton first Monday sale like we had hoped, so we just stayed in and enjoyed the comfort of your home. We hope we checked out well, we left the beds unmade, gathered the towels we used and put them on the washer, gathered up our trash and put it out. We hope we left your home in as Good as shape as we found it, I meant to leave my bottle of di amore but my husband grabbed it. Thanks for the great place to stay.

Nice home!

Great to have plenty of space to relax. Nice property with lots of trees. Hubby wished for some coffee on days two and three, but other than that, the kitchen was well stocked for your needs. Loved the comfy couch! We enjoyed a nice quiet stay over the holiday weekend.

My name is Michelle Balderson, I purchased the house in 2019. We live in Canada, and plan for this home to be our part time retirement home when we retire. We love Texas, and the Lake. One day hope to have a boat to enjoy the water.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Why would you rent this Property? It's not lake front, yet, it's nice and cozy. A great get away. Lots of positive reviews, some negative. It's not for everyone. Yet, it's a great place if you want quiet, and relaxing time. Our neighbors right next door have a rooster, and chickens, so if you don't like being woken up in the morning with Cock a doodle doo's, then this place isn't for you. They also have dogs, who will bark from time to time. When we are there, we go for walks in the neighborhood, casual. It's fun, there is lots to see. It's nice to look out to the water on those walks. We go into Seven Points, and Gun Barrel. Good places to eat at both. You will want to visit the Winery near our home, that has live music from time to time. We just love it.

We have Take a Bottle, Leave a Bottle display in the Kitchen / Dining area. Just in case you forgot to pick up wine, or spirits, well they are there, just replace what you use.

We are big on smoking meat, there is a meat smoker, and a fireplace that can be used to grill meat outside. It's hot in Texas, so most don't use the fireplace inside, yet it's there. Great Winter use.

We don't have a King sized bed in our home in Canada. There is one there in Texas, and it's new, as we bought it when we bought the house. We put in about 10,000 in upgrades since we purchased the house. We plan on doing more, Painting the outside, replacing the carpets, and fixing some of the Honey do, things that need to be fixed. Like I said, it's not perfect, nothing is, yet it's our kind of comfy. Come, stay, enjoy.
