Ubicado en una calle tranquila, The Red Farmhouse es lo mejor de ambos mundos. Una combinación perfecta de soledad y acceso a pie a todas las comodidades que South Main tiene para ofrecer. Dos minutos después de salir por su puerta, podría caminar por el río, andar en bicicleta de crucero por el centro de Buena Vista, andar en bicicleta por el extenso sistema Midland Bike Trail, pescar con mosca, escalar rocas, hacer rafting, kayak o disfrutar de una IPA en el Restaurante Eddyline y Cervecería. Dos lugares increíbles de música en vivo se encuentran a poca distancia de "The Red Farmhouse". Uno está a solo unos pasos en The Surf Hotel, que también es el principal lugar para bodas en la zona. This is a great place to stay in Buena Vista. Close to the river and Surf hotel, perfect size kitchen and bedrooms were large enough for everyone. The porch was a nice bonus.

Great little farmhouse in a great location close to the river, bike park, restaurants on south main and close to downtown BV too. Great views of the mountains. The house had everything we needed too. We will be back!

Lovely stay in BV!

We had the best time staying here in BV! The house was a perfect location, so clean, and comfortable. Erin and Jim were great hosts! It had amazing views and we loved sitting outside and seeing all the deer that would stop by. Highly recommend staying here!

Weekend Away

Attended a wedding at the Surf hotel and stayed at the Red Farmhouse with another couple. The location was great and the accommodations were wonderful as well. The hosts were so nice and easy to work with- highly recommend😀

The “Little Red House” fit our needs perfectly! We (grandparents) stayed upstairs, and our adult children and their children stayed in the 2 downstairs bedrooms. If you come in the summer the master suite has air conditioning. The main level and downstairs have constant cool breezes. Because we had 2 other adult children couples joining us on the vacation we had to stay in 2 places, but the best part of “The Little Red House” was a wonderful, breezy front porch where we visited every evening. Great memory maker!

Weekend getaway

4 of us rented the Red Farmhouse for a BV escape. Loved the house which was very clean, cozy and bright and very well equipped. Close to the river and hiking and a short walk to town. The hosts responded quickly to all questions and were very friendly to work with. Would definitely stay here again

Perfect BV Spot

Great spot for our family of 5 to walk all over BV, the river, and trails. Also a great jump off for skiing Copper and Monarch. House had everything and hosts were super responsive. Would highly recommend.

Hiking trip

The property is exactly as presented on the VRBO site. Great location to walk to dinner. Great location to drive for some nice hikes. There is no air conditioning, but we were gone during the day and the breeze kept us cool at night

Outstanding

We had a great time due, in large part, to the house and the location. Great hosts, clean house, very welcoming, and the best view in the valley. This will be the first place we try to book whenever we get to return. Plenty of space to hang out, cook, sleep 6, and close to everything BV offers. Beautiful house inside and out.

Red Farmhouse: Cure for the COVID Blues!

Stayed at the Red Farmhouse for six weeks with a couple of friends. What a fantastic experience! The property is perfectly located within easy walking distance of the Arkansas River, shops, restaurants, etc. We mostly cooked at home and found the kitchen comfortable and well-equipped. The dining room, inviting front porch, and side patio with grill and uninterrupted views of Mt. Princeton all saw their share of great meals. Bedrooms were comfortable, living room cozy, and property clean and well ordered. Buena Vista is a lovely town and a great place to get away from the craziness of COVID city life. Erin and Jim were fantastic hosts -- friendly, good communicators, and VERY responsive whenever a need arose. Place is probably not best for infants or people with mobility difficulties (stairs). Otherwise, do yourself a favor and get some Red Farmhouse in your life ASAP.

Wonderful farmhouse

Stayed in the red farmhouse in Buena Vista. House was clean well equipped and owners were very responsive to any questions we had. Loved the decor also. We were even welcomed with two bottles of wine waiting for us. House would work well for a family or couples even. Can’t wait to go back

Great location with many perks

Typically most Vrbo’ have limited essentials, but so much was offered to keep our minds at ease - plenty of trash bags, kitchen detergent, spices, toiletries, etc. that the entire trip was a wonderful experience to the extent that we had more options to consider eating in too. After a day of outdoor adventure the red house was a great place to come back to & chill. And, the beds were all very comfortable as well.

Great Choice!

This was a great choice for our stay in BV! The hosts, Jim and Erin were great, they shared details about the house pre-visit, and were available during out stay. The house is well stocked, the layout worked well for us--master is on the top floor, living/dining/kitchen is on the first floor, and two bedrooms in the basement. It's an easy walk for coffee (The Midland Stop)--if you get there early the pastries are still warm), a wonderful bicycle shop is next door (Black Burro Bikes)--they have rentals, a walk/ride along the Arkansas River is next to the bike shop, a great restaurant--the Eddyline, a delightful art studio--Rock Run Gallery (over 40 artists), late evening small plates at the Surf Hotel, and much more close by! The house is located in a lovely neighborhood--there was some new construction down the street; but, they were good about noise only during certain hours--didn't bother us. The house feels almost private, there aren't any homes on one side (that may change in the future). We definitely hope to be back!

For that reason we do not do same day turn arounds and we have a strict in house cleaning protocol. On a personal note we are adventurous skiers, hikers and bikers and would be thrilled to help you plan your Buena Vista or Breckenridge getaway as we know both areas intimately.

We have been visiting Buena Vista for 25 years and are now proud to call it home! We love what it affords and it's access to the great outdoors. We love the town and people here and especially South Main and river life!
