Cozy River Side Home, Barrel Sauna, Wood Burning Stove and Fire Pit

This cozy, winter escape offers private access to more than 800-feet of Arkansas River with year-round fishing. Use as home base for cross country skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, fat tire biking, and hiking. Come home and warm up in the barrel sauna and sit outside next to the river by the fire pit.

The completely renovated house has a wood burning stove to keep everything warm. 5 minutes from restaurants and shopping on Main Street in downtown Buena Vista. 10 minutes to Mt. Princeton Hot Springs and 15 minutes to Cottonwood Hot Springs. 40 minutes from Monarch Mountain and Ski Cooper.

We had an excellent stay this past week. The house felt very clean and comfortable, making it easy to settle in. We really enjoyed the wood stove and spacious backyard for our pup. The sauna is a really nice touch and was easy to use. The hosts did a great job communicating. I would highly recommend.

We truly loved our weekend at this VRBO. The property is so unique with access to the river. We fished, relaxed around the fire pit, and our dog loved the big yard. I would love to return every year!

The house was recently updated and had everything you need. Our dogs absolutely loved the backyard and had a great time frolicking in the river. We saw a buck cross the river right in front of us and there was an owl in the tree. Loved it!

Thoroughly enjoyed our time here! Beautiful view of the Arkansas River and rafters/kayakers. Spent most of our time in the Adirondack chairs by the river relaxing and enjoying a fire in the evening. Beds were all very comfortable and property has been nicely updated. Great view from the dining room. Kitchen is well appointed. Responsive hosts. Would love to go back again!

Great location

We enjoyed our stay. The house was well equipped and very comfortable. The location by the river was unbeatable. We, understandably, didn’t spend a bunch of time inside but it was a great place to come back to when our adventures were over for the day. We’ll be back.

Wonderful River Vista!

This is the perfect place for 3 couples or a family. The setting is spectacular and the house is perfect. Well equipped with everything you need, very modern on the inside - nicely done. If you like to fish, this is the place! Even if you don’t fish, this is the place!

Great little gem

We spent the weekend here for my Dad's birthday. The house was perfect for 6 adults. It was a wonderful place; very clean and a perfect location. Thanks so much for a wonderful weekend. I would definitely stay here again.

Family Vacation

Perfect property, perfect location. Hosts were accommodating and helped us with one issue WE encountered with our travel arrangements. Excellently equipped kitchen. Trout fishing right out the back door and loved the 5 minute walk to a river rafting company. On a scale of 10, I give this property and our host an 11.

Fantastic house right on the river. Great location for both Buena Vista and Salida. If you like hiking, this house is less than 20 minutes to some beautiful hiking in the Mt Princeton area. The deck was to relax and wave to passing rafters. Would definitely stay there again when I’m back in area.
