¡Bienvenido a Idyllwild Dairy Hen! ¡Disfrute de un fin de semana en esta acogedora cabaña rodeada de altos pinos y esté a poca distancia de todo lo que necesita! Esta casa tiene capacidad para 5-6 personas y está a menos de ¼ de milla de la ciudad.

La casa tiene dos dormitorios y 1. 5 baños. El primer dormitorio está abajo y tiene una cama queen size. El segundo dormitorio está en el altillo de arriba que tiene la cama queen y la cama individual. También hay un medio baño arriba en el desván.

La cocina está totalmente equipada con todas las ollas, sartenes, utensilios, vajilla, etc. esenciales. Hay un televisor con conexión a internet en el hogar y conexión Wi-Fi gratuita para su uso.

Cabin in the Woods

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the property. Although the check-in process (submission of additional forms, copies of ID & Credit Card) was a bit cumbersome and finding the rental office was challenging it was well worth it. I would rent this property again & recommend itt to others.

Not all it was hyped up to be. Don’t waste your time

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We didn’t have a very good experience at this location. Sure it looks great on the surface but everything beyond that was very meh. First off, the cabin gets extremely cold and the woodfire furnace does little to remedy that. Not a big deal but add onto the fact that during our stay we barely had any hot water and it becomes a major issue. We basically had to use the hot tub to stay warm, which is great, but not ideal when needing to bathe. But we put up with it and overall had a good weekend. But it’s worth noting that when we brought up the lack of hot water to the staff, and said that although it didn’t ruin our overall enjoyment of the town, we were hoping the staff would do something to say sorry. When they didn’t, my partner requested perhaps they remove the $130 pet fee we happily paid for at the beginning of the trip, since our animals were service dogs. They declined, which is their right, but it definitely left a poor taste in our mouth regarding the experience. Just seemed like they should have done something other than just say “sorry” but oh well. I’m not completely against renting from them again, but I’ll more than likely make them a last resort type thing.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for Idyllwild Dairy Hen. This past winter was unprecedented snowfall, which hindered delivery of propane tanks being filled. We made every effort to provide temporary propane tanks due to this unusual circumstance. In regards to the Pet Fee, it was not reported until after the stay had been completed that the pet was a service dog. The cabin is as described with all the gentle touches that give it a rustic feel but with wonderful conveniences like cable and movies as well as a coffee maker and tea kettle.Our favorite thing about Dairy Hen that is unrelated to the accommodation itself is the proximity to town. A short 5-10 min walk away, you can park your car for the duration of the time you're there and enjoy all Idy has to offer.

Inside was passable, outside was not

The blurb describes this as a cozy cabin, and the management company describes themselves as purveyors of luxury properties; the photos show closeups of an outdoor dining table, a hot tub and a grill. The operative word here is close ups. Yes, the property has those three things. But each of them is surrounded by unkempt and unpleasant surroundings. The hot tub looks out on a water tank that's can't be more than 6 feet away. If you look the other way, you're looking at the broken door of an old shed with all kinds of cast-offs around it. The outdoor table is there ok, but it closely abuts the property next door, which houses what appears to be a permanent yard sale and a parking lot for trailers and other vehicles, Directly below the deck which the table sits on is what appears to be an abandoned truck flatbed, and various other derelict vehicle parts. Not the kind of romatic summer-time scene the carefully edited photo suggests. The grill is usable (in fact, we did use it) and while it's placement is less important than those of the table or the hot tub, it looks out on a dirt yard with no eye appeal at all. The inside of the house is acceptable. The kitchen is fine for basic cooking, but be aware there were no wine glasses, no microwave and no dishwasher -- not necessities but things you might expect. We had to call the office twice to get a cutting board delivered, although they were quite nice when they did. Plusses of the place, and there were some, were that is was generally quiet (although we did hear early garage sale business Sunday morning), the bed was comfortable, the Wifi was fast and reliable, and there was a DVDVCR player along with a very eclectic stack of movies. The manual with the house offered no explanation about the 3 remotes that came with the TV, but we figured out how to use the DVD/VCR player by trial and error. The bottom line: it was an acceptable (if not appealing) place to stay inside, but in an unpleasant envrironment. I would not stay again.
