Welcome to IL Riposo! Enjoy this home indoors with modern cabin décor, or al fresco in the many outdoor features including hot tub, hammock, firepit, outdoor seating, and sunroom.
The main level features an open layout with Kitchen/Dining/Living area as well as the guest bedroom, bath, & laundry. Keep comfortable during the summer and winter months with the installation of 3-mini split air conditioning units in both upstairs bedrooms, and a wood burning stove in the Living Room heats the entire house.
Quiet solitude can be experienced year round in this lovely cabin. The outdoors offers a plethora of beautiful plantings from Swedish aspen, flowering plum, blue spruce, crab apple, fuji apple, peach and lilacs. Spread out and relax in the backyard which opens up to US forestry land offering miles of mountain trails. A Zen Room with Infrared Sauna, yoga mats and floor exercise equipment; it also features a separate art hut to get your creative side going!

There is a $35 dog fee per night; Dogs beyond 1 must be approved; additional pet fees apply per pet per night.

There are no refunds since we do order and pay for this wood in advance,* exceptions if we are unable to deliver)

Relaxed with a view

Comfortable mountain house on a great piece of property. It had all the amenities described. We were wanting for nothing during our stay. The drive to town is not bad, but pick up some groceries after check-in in town, before you go to the house. There's an unmarked trail leading from the back yard to a great valley view spot, about a mile round trip. The house is also close to the trailhead for a hike to the mountain peak and beyond.

An adventure of a stay!

We arrived during the largest snowstorm the mt had seen in 30+ years. This made the check-in process crazy, including relocations, and snow shoveling. This is a cabin in the mountains be prepared for that. Putting that aside the management company could have not been better. They did everything in a nearly impossible situation to help us and we ended up in the most beautiful, clean, and amazing cabin!! They really care and that made all the difference in the world, they saved our trip and I can't say enough about this cabin. The view is unreal and the layout is fun, spacious and cozy. When there is not 5 feet of snow on the ground it's also a great convent location with covered parking. We will 100% come back and stay here again!

Our anniversary getaway

This is a beautiful property. So serene, clean, spacious and thoughtful. The management office was so thoughtful and informative, we got a call the day of our arrival to inform us of the snowy weather conditions and answers all our questions. The ONLY issue was that we weren't informed there are 2 driveways, we got there after dark in the snow and the driveway didn't look shoveled. It took us 20 minutes to get up the driveway in our tesla. The next day, we found the nicely shoveled driveway right passed the one we struggled so hard to get up. The first driveway that's clearly marked with the address isn't the one lol other than that, this was a wonderful weekend in a magical setting 10/10 recommend!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: IL Riposo is a wonderful cabin to stay in, loaded with most anything you’ll need for a great trip! I wanted something more secluded and quiet Il Riposo was just that. It is about 10 minutes from Idyllwild town, so if you’re looking for something walkable to town, this isn’t it. We really enjoyed the hot tub, very large property, and and beautiful view. Fully stocked kitchen, art room, are some other amenities that set IL Riposo out from other rentals. The rental was very clean and well kept. The staff at New Spirit were also all incredibly kind and helpful!

Inaccurate Listing with Rude Staff

I don't have a great impression of this property. After booking a stay they sent a bunch of additional documents and disclosed other items about the property that would have made me not book with them. I wouldn't trust staying with them.

Incredible Space + Location! A++

We loooved our time in this beautiful location and property. Incredible views, a very private/quiet location, and the home itself is just magic. We really enjoyed the deck, and had morning coffee watching the sunrise, and dinner watching the sunset (there were lots of birds because of the feeders and habitat focused/very large garden — we even saw a bobcat!). The wrap around fence was perfect for our pup who loved to explore the front yard all day. My husband loved the sauna, and I used the claw tooth bathtub a few times. The kitchen was VERY well stocked (like shockingly so for an rental property) and we really enjoyed cooking our meals while looking at the surrounding nature. This was a very special quiet VRBO, and we were very sad to leave! A few things to note — for some reason, the home alarm went off when we arrived and we had to wait for 20 minutes for the manager to arrive to disarm it (they were deeply apologetic, and came very quickly). However, the police officer who showed up two hours later to check on the situation said it happens all the time at this house. I don’t know if this is true, and also this isn’t a ding, more something to be aware of. Also, the dishwasher was broken, and the art hut wasn’t accessible. (It was locked and none of the keys worked to let us in). And the check in process was a bit intense compared to anything we’ve ever experienced. We needed to fill out paperwork in advance, and check in during specific hours at an office in Idyllwild. Again, not a ding, just something to note. All in all, truly one of our favorite stays of all time. 5 starts across the board. We didn’t want to leave!

Great stay

Beautiful home that was very clean and fun to stay in. Well stocked kitchen. About 12 minutes out of downtown Idyllwild, so does involve some driving. Very quiet neighborhood.

Private Quiet relaxing

The property was very clean nicely decorated easy check in there were games a hot tub outside fire pit all fun a little out of town but worth the drive The downstairs TV would not connect but I enjoyed the quiet Thanks for having us

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had such a great time staying here. It had everything needed to keep us comfortable. The sunset view from the deck is beautiful and it’s close enough to many hikes and the town to get out of the house it need be! We weren’t given the keys to the sauna/zen room and didn’t realize it until halfway through the stay, so that was sort of a bummer having to miss out on all of those amenities because we missed details on needing to ask for the key - something to keep in mind. Other than that we plan on being back.
