Rent this delightfully clean Lake Front Home and updated Carriage House. Diamond Lake is a popular recreational lake. The entire shoreline of the lake and Diamond Island are lined with cottages and homes. A 1,020 acres and up to 64' deep lake in Cassopolis, MI. Just 2 hours from Chicago and 30 minutes from Notre Dame. Location is on Kamp Kozy, one of the most popular shore lines on the lake. Known for its views of the Island and great swimming. The large dock in front is great gathering spot for water sports or enjoy the fire pit after the sun goes down.

Please note " The Carriage House is only included for the months of June, July and August". Please note the Main House sleeps 6 and the Carriage House sleeps 5.

The house is beautiful! It’s very large and roomy and clean and stocked with everything. The beds are comfortable, the quality of the towels, linens etc were excellent. The location is great and waking up every morning with a view of the lake is priceless. I spent thanksgiving weekend there and will be booking another week this summer. Jay, the owner was a delight to work with and was always available if needed. There is a very detailed welcoming book which is helpful as well. I highly recommend this home ! You will not be disappointed.

There was a little confusion in my part with the Pet Friendly inclusion. I read something that said only 20 lbs. however after a quick call to Jay he clarified and was accommodating to our needs.

Lovely Lakeside vacation spot

Lovely lakeside vacation spot - easy access to lake and dock. Super nice for boating and water activities. Space worked well for kids; we had fun visiting an orchard in the area and spent lots of good time on the dock and playing in the shallows. Both kitchen and laundry features worked really well for our families.

A great visit!

House was super comfortable for three adults--master bedroom was great, & 2nd & 3rd bedrooms were really nice sized instead of tiny, small rooms. Meeting location was central from Indiana, Wisconsin & Maryland. House was stocked, and being on the lake was fantastic. Host was excellent with communication!

Great location and space!

There were 8 people in our party (4 adults, and 4 kids - 7,10,11,13) and this was the perfect spot! Plenty of room for everyone and cozy accommodations. We enjoyed the location right on the lake, it’s a beautiful view! We had coffee/breakfast overlooking the lake in the mornings and relaxed at the firepit in the evenings. Although we dined out for the most part, kitchen is very well stocked and it was easy to have several meals at the house as well. We would love to stay here again and would recommend!

Thanksgiving at the lake house

My family traveled East and my sister’s family traveled West and we met in the middle to celebrate Thanksgiving and be together. We were so happy to have such a nice comfortable place to stay in Diamond Lake, Michigan. Host was very easy to work with and the house was cute and comfortable. Just what we needed.

Diamond Lake Getaway

Our family rented both the main house and the coach house for our extended family. The homeowner was very accessible regarding our questions. Our family enjoyed having morning coffee on the porch, the large dock for our sailboats, and the firepit adjacent to the lake. The house is located close to town, so acquiring groceries was convenient. We would recommend this property and love the sizable lake.

Fall Getaway!

Had a wonderful week at the house and fantastic fall weather. The house was very warm and charming and loved the view of the lake during the day! We have friends in the area and had a few dinners at the house with family and friends and everyone said how comfortable the house was! We have stayed at other houses in the area thru VRBO and this was the most enjoyable to date! Access to the owners was a text or call away! Truth be told a couple of little issues but for the most part, we would definitely go back!!!! P.S.: The beds were fantastic!!!! Thank you for a wonderful stay and sharing your beautiful lake cottage!

Nice quiet spot on the lake

The property owner's communication was probably the best of any former place I have rented through Vrbo. The house was very clean. The owner checked in with me multiple times to ensure everything was going well. The room facing the lake has a perfect view. The bed that was in the main bedroom on the first floor was very comfortable, I slept better there for the week than I had in my own bed for the last month. Everything was available that I needed for the week (cooking ware, cleaning products, bathroom and bed supplies, etc...). I would highly recommend if you are looking for a quiet neighborhood on a lake with a decent amount of lake frontage.

We found a diamond at Diamond Lake

The most relaxing and comfortable house on Diamond Lake. All the beds were soft and comfortable just like the feel throughout the whole house. Spacious rooms with lots of light and seating for our large family. Everything you could need or ask for was provided, including the best view on the lake to watch the sunrise and people go by. Martha and Jay are incredible hosts and made us feel right at home, along with their fantastic street of neighbors. We have a family of seven and it's rare to leave a two week vacation ( our house was being renovated) and feel like we can still be around each other. But the house and things to do kept us so busy and spread out, that we all really were able to relax. We will book this house again for sure! I am wanting to stay there I. The fall to see the sunrise over the changing leaves in the fall. As soon as you walk into the house you feel all the laughter and love that Jay, Martha, and their family have shared there over the years. It's like an old friend. Comfortable, relaxing, and easy to be around.

Diamond is Rough

Property was clean & safe . I communicated with the owner prior that I was in between selling my $750k home and moving to a short term rental while I build over a year . The home has small yard on a beautiful lake and street . Its in need of updating . The owner has continued to harass me since leaving accusing me of allowing my dogs to potty inside / around and outside when they were 9 week old puppy and I used pee pads Goose poop was everywhere The dining room table wobbles like a ball I live in the area and this man has text me non stop harrassing me. I was sick 14 of the 17 days I stayed and believe it was because cats were in the home. The day I left I was still very sick left dishes in the sink and the old vase was knocked over so I did break that it was by the fire place. Again I was very sick and explained this but he continued to send me nasty text It really left a bad taste in my mouth as he has non stop text me about inaccurate accusations even when I ask for pics he never provided them. The homes floors were clean and beds were stripped as requested. I stocked the home with supplies we used.

Incredible Lake Cottage

This is the most picturesque lake cottages you will find. The views of Diamond Lake from your well appointed lake cottage are breathtaking! Our family enjoyed everything about this get-away including the spacious kitchen, bright dining and sun rooms overlooking the lake, great living space, three awesome bedrooms with comfy beds and nice bathrooms. You will have plenty of room for your family here, and when you step into the cottage you will instantly see the attention to detail with the lake decor throughout just immediately getting you into relaxation mode! Jay is awesome to work with and extremely responsive. You can’t go wrong renting this amazing lake cottage and enjoying all that lake living has to offer!

Christmas stay

We enjoyed our stay although we didn’t feel that for having to pay a cleaning fee it was as clean as it could have been. The coffee pot had a filter that had mold in it, there was food in the microwave and the dishes needed to be washed before using. This was our first time using VRBO and we didn’t really know what to expect.

12 days of fun

The lakefront house was well equipped with most of the utensils needed for a vacation stay. If i could make two suggestions - it would be for the coach house (which was included in the rental). The main bedroom has a king sized box spring - but two twins mattresses on top - not exactly a king bed. Also that were transoms that do not have any window covering in the bedrooms - this made for early mornings.

Best location on the lake. The water is knee high as you walk into the lake from the dock. Nice sandy bottom. Great for small children.
