TWO Adorable Waterfront Cottages on Beautiful all sports Paradise Lake

*Our beautiful Willow tree (and tire swing) had to be removed this spring. I will update pictures as soon as possible*

Two completely renovated lakefront cottages on Paradise Lake with 120 feet of lake frontage. Each cottage has two bedrooms, one bath, living room, and dining area. The guest cottage has a kitchenette while the main cottage has a full kitchen and screened-in porch. Both cottages are lakefront and are rented together. They are perfect for multiple families or just extra space and privacy for your own family. Gather together on the upper deck, lower screened-in porch, or around the lakeside firepit for some smores and sunsets.

Paradise Lake is a clear 186-acre all-sports lake that is perfect for fishing, water sports, kayaking, swimming, exploring, or just floating and relaxing. There is plenty of space in the yard for playing games or just chilling in a hammock. Well-behaved pets are welcome for an additional $25/day per pet. Please let me know if you are bringing a pet.

Two Kayaks, one paddleboard, a paddleboat, and a canoe along with floaties and misc water toys are provided for you to use.

Come and make wonderful memories at Paradise.

This property has everything you need for a relaxing lake vacation! There are plenty of activities to do at the house, including boat rental for 600 during your stay. House is well stocked with all home essentials. The 2 house property was nice for separation for our family of 9. Only con was the squeaky beds. Overall, we had a nice, relaxing stay so thank you!

My family enjoyed our stay

Communication with Deb was perfect, she was super fast at responding and very understanding. The house is a bit smaller than we thought it was but we made it work. Bed were a bit uncomfortable especially staying for a week.

Perfect!

So so so cute. Had all the basic amenities and toys. The boat was a bit pricey but was really worth it. Would absolutely go again and again.

Great place!

We had a great time at this property! There are a lot of little extras- paddle board, kayaks, paddle boat and floats. There were plenty of life jackets too. The fire pit was nice and the water was great. There was a bunch of glass in the swimming area, but i don’t think that is anything the owner can control. Obviously people are making poor choices as it was all beer and wine bottles. Having 2 separate houses worked out well for our large group. Kids slept in one and adults in the other. We spent one full day in south Haven and that was a quick hour drive. There were plenty of games and we brought puzzles for our rain days. Overall, it was a great stay!! Highly recommend.

Awesome home

Nothing but great things to say about this home and the management . We had multiple families with kids and there was plenty space for us. They also provided plenty of activities for us to be able to enjoy the lake. Great swimming area for younger children. We arrived early and were able to check in early with no hassle. All questions and suggestions were answered promptly. The kids enjoyed the last summer trip before school. I highly recommend this place.

Long weekend Family of 10 trip

Overall this was a perfect property. Plenty of lake access and accessories. Boat rental. Sleeping space for everyone. Couch was a little small for our group and not super comfortable especially for napping or sleeping. Clean. Close to neighbor but the house appears empty so no issues there. The steep hill may be hard to get up or down in bad weather but you can park on street. Loved the lake for fishing and fire pit for night time. Was nice to have two living spaces. Table and bar was plenty of seating. Nice size kitchen and everything you need. Would definitely stay again, would bring a cot to add on top of couch:)

Family vacation

This was perfect for our family vacation. There were two small side-by-side cabins. We had seven adults, two children and two dogs. We had enough space for all of us and plenty of things to do! We enjoyed kayaking, the paddleboard and the floating toys. We also chose to rent the pontoon boat that was right there on the property! I would definitely recommend this place!

Wonderful, relaxing spot

We loved our stay in Paradise! We had 13 mostly middle aged women and it was awesome! Right on the lake. The neighbors were close but now there so that was nice. It was a little tight be we made it work and would recommend this place wholeheartedly! Thanks Deb!

Michigan trip

The property was just like the pictures (minus the tree and the tire swing). Which we liked, better views. It was everything that I wanted for my family vacation. Nice, quiet lake. Deb was available when I had a question. I would rent this property again.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. The owner was very friendly and accommodating and very responsive with any questions I had. We had a 4-night stay with 7 adults and 4 children and a dog in our group and the space was adequate. We were all able to comfortably be in the main cottage to play games in the evenings. The lake is amazing, the water is so clear. There were many water toys provided which was a thoughtful touch. There were also plenty of towels and life jackets. Our biggest concern with the swim area is that there were several pipes (we’re guessing from an old pier) that were sticking out of the ground underwater that you couldn’t see until you stepped on or bumped into them. They should be marked with little buoys or something since someone could really get hurt when playing in the water. We had to give the kids a swim boundary so they wouldn’t hurt themselves. They do offer the pontoon to rent, but with the paddle boat, kayak, and paddle board etc. we were quite entertained and didn’t feel like we needed to rent the pontoon. The cabin and bunk house were decorated with a beach theme. A lot of thought went into the decorating and it shows. Very cute with a lot of character. We also loved all the places to sit outside with plenty of umbrellas to shade from the sun. Another review mentioned paper towels, it was the same for us, they provide one roll so bring extras. But there was plenty of everything else including toilet paper. Overall a great time was had by all, and we would rent this property again.

A nice stay

Unfortunately we were here during a rainy weekend but it was still a beautiful place to enjoy all the nature around us. Even the drive over had all the perfect autumn colors surrounding us. The house is situated down a very steep driveway. Luckily none of us got stuck in the mud due to the rain and the host was nice enough to give us a heads up about the flooding. We were able park 4 cars next to the house with no issues. We had 7 adults and that was about the max I think before it would get uncomfortable. We were able to play games around the dining table/bench. It was nice to have 2 separate sleeping arrangements and 2 bathrooms. We did run out of paper towels. We only used up the roll that was already there. It didn't seem to be any extra rolls which was disappointing so I would bring an extra just in case. There was enough towels and toiletries and trash bags. You do have to walk up some stairs at the side of the house to get to the trash bin. It is also well water in the house so I recommend bringing bottles of water for those who aren't used to well water for drinking and using the coffee maker. Also fyi, the screened in porch under the deck is just under 6ft high so for any guests taller than that should be careful in there. Looks like the tire swing is gone too, not that we were going to swing on it, but in case anyone with kids was looking forward to it. Seems like the branch was cut down where it was hanging. The lake water looked really clean and clear. We all want to come back in the summer to take more advantage of the outdoor area. It is really a nice setup with plenty of areas to sit outside. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Great cottage for a weekend away

Overall I would recommend this rental for a small to medium sized group. The cottage was very nice and clean upon our arrival. There is plenty to do with the available water equipment, fire pit next to the lake and plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the sun/water. We did have a couple of issues. There is enough parking for about 3 cars after you come down the steep driveway to the backyard and the recommendation for additional parking is on the embankment across the street, which I would not feel safe leaving my car parked there for a significant amount of time. If you have more than a few cars, it would be tough to park. The grill also wouldn’t fully work. There was gas and a flame, but the grill never got over 200 degrees. Lastly, the oven must have been dirty because upon even starting it the smoke alarms were going off before it even got done preheating. None of the issues heavily impacted our weekend, but thought it was worth mentioning. I would still recommend to anyone looking for a lake house with lots to do!

Perfect Midwest getaway

We really enjoyed our stay on Paradise Lake. The quick trip from Chicago was well worth it. The setup between both houses gave the perfect lake house vibe. We rented the pontoon and thoroughly enjoyed our cruises around the lake. The boat is not necessary to have fun since the kayaks and paddleboard provided perfect leisure activities as well. Great area to bike ride as well. Would definitely recommend. Will make a return trip!

Everything was wonderful

The only thing I didn’t understand I was charged a cleaning fee and was ask to sweep and mop clean the toilets and strip the beds and put clean linens on so why the fee. Left it the way I was asked. Great time was had beautiful property.

Paradise Lake was a true paradise escape for us!

The adorably decorated cottages had a very funky Florida feel to them, very joyful and happy colors. We had everything we needed sans a cheese grater but with a dollar store so close, we were graterless for only a short time. The abundance of life jackets, swim shoes, kayaks, a canoe (we didn’t venture out in that) noodles and paddle board were perfect - as was the pontoon. We’ve been on many a pontoon in our day but this one never gave us a bit of trouble. During the week it was blissfully quiet, not a soul around. The weekends picked up but the friendly waves from all of the other boaters made us feel very welcome. Oh, and the fresh flowers waiting for us when we got there? A beautiful touch! We were planning our next stay at this same location while floating in the lake. I think next year we’ll try to do two separate weeks in the summer. We absolutely loved it there and it worked out wonderfully well for my family.
