Discover the beauty of Bison Hollow's 1000 acre preservation
with a stay at this updated 3-bed, 3-bath cabin located just 6 miles South of Hocking Hills State Park. This vacation cabin, once owned by the beloved John Corby, allows you to decompress in complete privacy by providing easy access for serious hikers to old logging trails that lead to incredible hemlocks, majestic gorges and beautiful waterfalls just by walking out the door. Magnificent birding, frogs singing in the pond and wildlife viewing is available for those who want to unwind on the wraparound deck or relax in the 6-person hot tub. Grill dinner on the upper deck's master grill, roast marshmallows in the giant firepit stocked with wood or dine at the winery or state park attractions up the road. Wifi, DirecTV, 3 Smart TVs, games, puzzles, movies and air hockey is all available for the kids in case it rains.
This cabin offers all the amenities of home with a complete stocked kitchen, 4 separate seating areas on two ginormous decks, fully stocked laundry room with washer and dryer and three bedrooms each with its own full and private bath. Totally surrounded by trees and fields, you can stay all week with never seeing another human or jump in the car and shop, dine and hike the prepared tourist trails of Hocking Hills State Park just 6 miles away.

We had a fantastic weekend at this cabin over OU’s Dads’ Weekend. The cabin was very clean, and the hosts go out of their way to make sure the cabin is stocked with everything you need for your stay. The property is secluded and private. We enjoyed the trails, fire pit, decks, and game room. While it was just 2 of us, there would have been more than enough room for our family of 5.

The Chubby Frog was perfect, very clean, just as pictured, well maintained property and cabin. We really appreciated all the hospitality, everything we needed was there. Host gave us great directions that were easy to follow to get to the property. We will definitely recommend The Chubby Frog and would stay there again. Hands down 5/5 stars!!!

Absolutely loved everything! Plenty of toys and stuff for the kids. Had everything we needed for a great weekend in the hills. Fire pit was stocked and ready to go. Best vacation rental we've stayed at yet. Loved it! Definitely coming back!

We enjoyed our stay very much. Everything you would need was provided, over and above any place we've ever stayed. The nature was amazing. A bird watcher's paradise! The beds are comfortable, and the decor is centered around the name of the cabin, Chubby Frog, and is rightly named for the charming pond where frogs hang out. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay at the cabin. The little extras like the snacks and walkie talkies were that little bit that made the stay all the more worthwhile. The location felt a little remote, but it was nice to be away from the hub bub and the stars were spectacular to see. And the hottub was invaluable after long days of hiking. The only thing I would say is that it was a little smaller than the pictures made it seem. With 5 people we still managed alright. Vicki's instructions ahead of time and all the info at the cabin show they take pride in their rental and making sure their guests have what they need.

The cabin was beautiful! It was fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. Even the fire pit was ready all we had to do was light it. The cabin was clean and just as pictured. We will definitely stay here again!!

Staying here was easy and fun- we wanted a nice place to stay for a long weekend away and we really hit it out of the park with the Chubby Frog! The cabin is well-stocked and there were plenty of beds and bathrooms for our family of four. I would definitely stay here again!

Get away from it all!

Chubby Frog has just about anything one could want! We stayed with 6 adults but the cabin was stocked for all ages. The hosts think of absolutley everything from bug spray to marshmellows. Its remote, quiet, and private. Huge highlight is all the wildlife. We will be back again.

Family get away

We enjoyed a long weekend at the Chubby Frog Cabin. Communication with the hosts was quick and easy. They shared detailed directions for arrival and information about their property. The kitchen was well stocked. We were able to cook and prepare meals with ease. Location is great. We hiked every day and visited the local wineries. Thank you!!

Perfect secluded cabin

We enjoyed our stay at the Chubby Frog cabin very much. The cabin was well stocked and clean and had everything you could think of for a great family weekend...games and puzzles, binoculars and bird guides, walkie talkies, campfire supplies (including s'more ingredients!), bug spray, towels, recommendations for where to go and what to do in the area including maps, detailed information about every aspect of the cabin amd the area, etc. ...and the hosts could not have been more helpful when we had an issue with one of our cars right before leaving. I highly recommend this gem of a place!

We stayed at the Chubby Frog Cabin for 5 days and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The location is perfect—peaceful, scenic, and surrounded by nature. We saw plenty of wildlife during our stay, which made the trip even more special.The cabin itself was spotless and well-stocked with everything we needed. It’s clear that the owners take great care to make sure guests are comfortable. Speaking of the owners—they were amazing. There was an unexpected issue with the WiFi (not their fault), and they went above and beyond by coming out that same evening with a hotspot. This was a huge help since my wife is a grad student and had assignments due.Communication throughout was excellent. The owners were incredibly responsive and made us feel well taken care of from start to finish.Highly recommend the Chubby Frog Cabin—we’d definitely stay here again

Vicki is a great host, and Chubby Frog Cabin is awesome! We loved the privacy and the cleanliness of the cabin. Fantastic!!

This place has it all!! With 3 bedrooms, each with their own en suite bath, makes it perfect for a family, girls weekend or a getaway with friends. The property was very clean upon our arrival and stocked with lots of amenities. The owners supplied everything we needed for our stay from towels and linens to soaps, toothbrushes, paper products, laundry detergent, first aid suppplies, plus so much more! They even graciously provided a partially stocked fridge and freezer and a ton of snacks and pantry items! The location is perfect! Very secluded with tons of wildlife to watch. My 7 yr old especially, loved putting extra food(provided by owners) out for the animals and then waiting to watch them all devour it! Deer, raccoons, squirrels, giant turkeys and so many dfferent kinds of beautiful birds just to name a few! This cabin is just a short drive to all the local attractions, Old man's cave was probably our favorite. I highly recommend staying here, I know we will next time we are in the Hocking Hill area!
