Great view

Very relaxing vaca! Positives: Location is good for not being right on the beach. View of both bay and Gulf. Lots of food and bar options close by. Lots of pool and beach supplies provided and sporting equipment for tennis, pickleball, etc. Clean and well stocked. Fairly quiet although you can hear court activity starting early morning. Negatives: Washer was so loud you couldn’t use while in the unit. Never got the dishwasher to work. Fan in Master was too loud to tolerate. Beds were all very hard. Kitchen was a little cramped for cooking, but overall it was great for 4 adults. I would stay again if the appliances were upgraded.

Wonderful week at Sunrise as usual

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family's week at Sunrise was predictably terrific! The location is beyond compare with beautiful bay views out the back and a glimpse of the ocean as you exit the back door. This unit, the resort pool and Sunrise grounds are maintained beautifully. Never had a problem with noise at this resort as the quiet rules seem to be strictly adhered to.I appreciate the little extra touches like beach chairs in the closet. Pretty, tasteful furnishings and everything worked great, except for a temporary mishap with the ice maker - quickly resolved. A newer guest to Sunrise will need to know that this is not like a hotel stay; although you will have basic items so you don't have to race out to the store, you may need to purchase extra soap, paper towels, laundry detergent, etc. which is reasonable and understandable. My feedback for improvement would be for the Sunrise units to invest in better blinds as some of the vertical blinds bite the dust every time we tried to open or close them. The condo feels nice and spacious. A+ experience!

This was our 12th stay at Sunrise and unfortunately our last.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: While the unit was very clean upon arrival although it does need updating. The master bathroom and kitchen floors had stained and/or chip spots. The patio furniture chairs are rusted through and chips fell off every time we pulled/pushed them out and one guest even got a small cut on her ankle when her ankle rubbed against it. There was not one storage bowl in the kitchen nor a small saucepan (I made hard boiled eggs in a 2 qt. saucepan!), there was also no lid that fit any of the skillets. We did have maintenance come to repair the microwave light and check the ice maker that was not working properly (and never repaired/replaced), we had to buy ice every 2 days for the duration of our 10 day stay. The location is great but with the 30% increase in rates (mostly due to higher HOA's) we will not be returning, as most other long term/return guests stated as well. The onsite staff are extremely helpful and accomodating (Nancy in office & Steve in maintenance/grounds).

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed in various apartments over the years. This was the first time I felt this particular apartment wasn’t ready for rental. Apart from the shower and bath not working, I found breakfast cereal between the cushions, the floors were grubby and I had to wash the mugs twice in the dishwasher to remove the coffee residue. The staff in the office were delightful and had repairs done as quickly as possible. These complaints did not spoil our holiday and we will book this resort again.

Our apartment had a large gash on the wall when you walk in but when the maintenance man and I spoke and he said that it's been back to back renters so not able to fix yet. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented two units - unit 405 and 410. 405 needs some major TLC. Carpet was stained throughout and overall unit decor was dark. Several blankets and sheets were folded half hazardly and strewn on the closet floor in the main bedroom. Unit 410 was the exact opposite. Everything felt clean and bright throughout. The check in process was great. The woman running the front office were always kind and courteous. The property is a nice property and within walking to distance to several restaurants and shops. Beach access was easy too.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been coming to Sun Rise for years and this is the first time where we had multiple issues with our unit and the facility. We talked to the office about our issues with the unit and they were very accommodating. Still it was concerning and left us feeling property owners may not be as attentive to their units as they once were. The couches, bar stools, patio chairs were very uncomfortable. Many of the dishes were not clean even though management told us upon arrival they had personally gone in and washed the dishes. In addition, the laundry room door required maintenance to come in and adjust it so it would close; there was no door on the linen closet leaving a cracked wall and original carpet exposed; the lights in the guest bathroom needed replacing and neither of the bathroom sinks had stoppers. Also the lock on the door needed replacing. All of this required multiple visits from the maintenance man who was very nice and took care of everything, however, we had to arrange our schedule around his work in the unit. We love the Sunrise but were really let down by this unit. We also noticed less frequent upkeep of the pool area and the crumbling surface at the corners of the pool itself. We also had to switch out the umbrella at the table we were at as it was broken and didn't open. The one we replaced it with had a faulty pole that kept slipping out of the insert in the top of the umbrella. One night when we arrived at the unit at about 8:30 p.m. there were no lights on on any of the levels or in the pool area. They eventually came on but it was probably an hour after dark. We have loved coming to the Sunrise but are concerned that the building, pool and units are showing their age??? I understand that the owner was contacted regarding these issues but I would have thought someone would have been aware of all of this prior to our arrival. We will be more discerning next visit. My answer to the last questions is specifically about unit 410.

Relaxing...

Excellent location. Onsite parking. Unit is furnished with everything we needed for a great stay. Walking distance to restaurants, shops and the Gulf is across the street with a stoplight for easy crossing. Looking forward to staying in the same unit upon our return in the future.

Aspectos negativos: Limpieza y instalaciones y estado del alojamiento
The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had all the appliances a person would need and it was nicely furnished. This room can work if you needed a place to stay but it definitely didn’t provide us with a great beach vacation experience. Here are items that we encountered: - The road noise was VERY loud. There is a very small space on the front landing where you can see the beach but it is way too loud to sit out and look at it. The bay view out the back is nice. - construction made it about a 20 minute walk to the beach. - Water leaked in the front door and it wasn’t fixed after I called on a Friday and kept wiping up water all day Saturday since it rained all day - Our coffee pot wasn’t cleaned and the mold was growing on the coffee grounds - the coffee pot was a full size maker but the filters were only 1-4 cups so it took 3 runs of the coffee maker to make a full pot - The refrigerator stopped working on our last day. I am sure it was just bad timing and not an on-going issue.
