L'Authentique - au cœur de Lyon

The Authentique is located in the heart of the historic district of Lyon, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Its French-style ceilings as well as its exposed stones make this little cocoon an ideal place to stay in the capital of the Gauls, mixing old and contemporary, in a neat decor.

On the third floor without elevator, with a spiral staircase, it consists of a large room living room with fitted kitchen, a dining area and a very comfortable convertible sofa, a bedroom with a double bed, an office area and a dressing room, and an adjoining bathroom with WC and shower. The bedroom overlooks a quiet courtyard, away from the hustle and bustle of the neighborhood.

Its central location, between St Jean and St Paul station, will allow you to enjoy all the tourist attractions in the immediate vicinity of the building, as well as shops and restaurants and transport. You will be 5 minutes walk from the peninsula and its lively neighborhoods.

The Cocoonr Agency

The Authentique accommodation is managed by the Cocoonr Agency of Lyon and will be prepared for your arrival. You will be greeted on site by a member of our team who will introduce you to the apartment, how it works and give you the keys.

Quality sheets, towels, rugs and tea towels are provided and the beds are made upon arrival.

To start your stay, we offer you a few pods of Tassimo coffee and a few bags of tea, herbal tea and sugar.
Smoking - not allowed
Arrival between 22:00 and 00:00 is subject to 30 late arrival fee.

Wonderful stay in Lyon!

We loved our stay in Lyon! Such a beautiful city, the location was perfect! Everything was close by, we loved the museums and the Roman ruins! And of course the food was amazing! Will be back!

Three days in Lyon

This apartment was the perfect location for our first time in Lyon. The historic neighborhood had plenty of food options and things to see. Short walks over the many bridges brought us to the historic center with several museums and restaurants everywhere. The apartment was clean and stocked with anything we needed. We would return if back in the region.

Amazing, sweet gem!

We had such a lovely stay here in Lyon. We so enjoyed this adorable apartment in the heart of old town Lyon. It was in the middle of so many sweet shops and yummy restaurants. We stayed here with our 10 month old who absolutely loved crawling around and exploring the space. It was very homey and cozy and we so enjoyed the whole trip! Thank you so much for the stay, we so enjoyed ourselves.

L'Authentique Beautiful apartment, fantastic location, very happy with the hosts and responsiveness, especially with setting our toddler up comfortably. While we managed OK as young people, some might struggle bringing large suitcases up the winding staircase. Very happy overall, strongly recommend this beautiful apartment.

Climb is worth it

Yes, the stairs are daunting, but once in the apartment, we found it charming, spacious, well-stocked, and convenient. The location, between the stop for the bus to Part--Dieu, and Vieux Lyon, was perfect. Check-in was especially welcoming.

L'Authentique Well located in the old town, tidy and spacious apartment! Just note that the apartment is located on level 3 (access via an old spiral staircase - no lift) and no aircon. However, we found the fans were kept us sufficiently cool at night. Thanks for a great stay.

A gem in the food capital of France

This spacious, clean, well-equipped unit is truly a gem. The owner understands that all the fees and taxes can make a rental more expensive than a hotel, so pricing it right and having a superb space in a wonderful location is the answer. Wonderful modern apartment in old Lyon

Fabulous renovated one-bedroom unit has everything a couple could wish (plus a pull out sofa for more bed space!). Loved the modern look, the huge counter and storage space and lots of light. Highly recommend; a reminder you are in old Lyon with busy restaurants at your doorstep and a three-storey stair climb to ensure you burn those restaurant calories.

A week in Lyon

The apartment is beautiful as is Vieux Lyon. However there should be a warning that there are 55 spiral steps to get there. Plus no Aircon so could get hot in summer. If you can deal with that you'll love it.

Elegant get away

What a unique property....if you have ever wondered what lies behind the traboules of Vieux Lyon, look no further. Up a narrow winding staircase traditional for old Lyon is a magnificent 3rd floor apartment, with a modern elegant layout right in the heart of the old town. My husband and I came for the Fete des Lumieres and felt very much a part of the celebration being right in the center of it all. As long as you can climb the stairs, this is a gem of a place! The kitchen, the bedroom, and the heated towel rack all made for a comfortable experience even in the darkness of December. Would recommend highly!

Amazing and even better than photos

The unit was obviously just renovated. Everything is new, appliances (full size fridge) dishes, pots coffee equipment etc. If you like to cook while you’re on vacation, this is a dream. The apartment is large with beautiful windows. The post and beam with high ceilings were glorious. The shower is large and water pressure fantastic. The location in old town was perfect. Close to local transportation and all the restaurants etc. The only draw back was the winding stairs (52 of them) with no elevator. We are retirees and we managed so don’t let that discourage you. We felt pricing was very reasonable. Checking in was stress free and the information left pertaining to restaurants etc was used and appreciated.

L’hôte était accueillante. L’appartement très propre et bien équipé. Sa situation dans le vieux Lyon était idéale.Seul problème: monter l’escalier étroit étroit de 53 marches avec des valises pour se rendre à l’appartement constitue un exercice difficile pour les personnes moins en forme.

We loved staying in this apartment for many reasons---it was easy to schedule & we had good communication; were met by a lovely assistant who showed us how to use the appliances & keys; it's clean, has all modern conveniences, lots of space, a great shower with plenty of hot water, comfortable bed & living room, excellent pillows, linens & towels, and an absolutely fantastic location in the old town! A bit different from rentals by an owner, this is a bit more no frills when it comes to the kitchen being stocked with spices, cooking oils, food staples, etc., and you get a limited #of dish & clothes washer pods. But we were fine with that, it's something to note if you're planning to stay longer and expect more of these items. Although there's some street noise from the restaurants below that can be heard in the front room, we had total quiet in the bedroom and slept comfortably. The location cannot be understated---there's so much to explore in the old town as well as walking up to the Roman ruins & museum (do not miss this!) and all around Lyon. We loved it at L'Authentique and would return again! Yes, the stairs are winding & steep but at 68 & 67 years, we were still ok carrying our suitcases up and down! There wasn't a wine tour or anything like that but I had to give a rating or couldn't move on, so ignore that, please! Thank you for a wonderful & perfect stay!

L'Authentique "Tolle Lage und wunderschönes Appartement. Leider gibt es keine Aircondition und die Hitze staute sich sehr im Appartement. Das Badezimmer mit Toilette lässt sich nur mit Schiebetür verschließen und alles ist dadurch sehr hellhörig. Küche und Wohnzimmereinrichtung haben uns sehr gut gefallen! Die Lage ist total zentral, natürlich ist in den Restaurants und Kneipen in der Straße abends noch lange (bis ca 23.00 Uhr) etwas los, zum Schlafen konnte man aber gut lüften."

L'Authentique Gemütlich eingerichtete und blitzsaubere Wohnung. Die Lage in der Altstadt ist toll, man kann fußläufig alles erkunden. Leider ist diese im Sommer nicht zu empfehlen, weil die Ventilatoren nicht ausreichen, um ein auszuhaltendes Klima herzustellen. Die Fenster können aufgrund der Lautstärke und des stark störenden Geruches des Restaurants unterhalb der Wohnung erst ab 01:00 Uhr nachts geöffnet werden. Die Kommunikation mit COCOONR ist bedrängend, mehrere Tage vor Ankunft wird 5mal nach der Ankunftszeit gefragt und dann diese nicht eingehalten. Vor Abreise wird mit Strafzahlung drohend verlangt, dass der Müll rausgebracht wird, alles abgewaschen und verräumt wird. Das kennen wir anders, schade! Dennoch ist die Wohnung zu empfehlen.

Pour la saison ( très froid) un seul des radiateurs fonctionnait ce qui faisait peu pour la superficie de la pièce. J’ai contacté l’agence afin de savoir s’il était possible d’avoir un deuxième chauffage d’appoint, il est arrivé le soir à 19h (là perso qui nous l’a emmené a essayé d’entrer, hors nous étions dans l’appartement. J’aurais aimé être avertie et dépannée plus tôt puisque nous sommes partis dès les lendemain matin) Dommage d’avoir froid à ce point ( nous devons être frileux) mais en rentrant avoir chaud c’est important pour nous . Sinon rien à dire de négatif."
