Enjoy The Crystal Villas A12 in beautiful Destin. This 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit located on the 3rd floor, offers fabulous views of the Gulf of Mexico. This unit has 1 King, 1 Queen, 2 Twins, 2 Queen Sofa Beds and sleeps 10. With 2 TVs and CD stereo system, you will enjoy all the comforts of home. This cute two-story condo features a French décor kitchen, large wrap-around sofa, great Gulf views, washer and dryer, and internet access. NOTE: This property does not have an elevator.

Great Stay

The third floor climb gets old after a few days but the site is a prime location and a quick walk to the beach. Rooms are decent, could use more than one soap pod for laundry and more than one roll of toilet paper, trash bags, etc for a one week stay but not a deal breaker. Upstairs far loft room gets a little warm but there are plenty fans to help. Some things like plug covers, doors, and other wear and tear things are starting to break down but overall not bad.

Harmful mold in washer/dryer close apparently caused by no exhaust fan, air vent in small loft bedroom did not flow very well and very hot in that room with door closed, exhaust fan in upstairs bedroom quit working on 7/27. Adirondack chair on balcony is broken and only two other chairs and no table for balcony. Could have used more bathtowels. Otherwise the unit was nice and updated, nice view, comfy beds and sufficient kitchen.

Spacious on the beach

We enjoyed our stay here. Spacious for a large group of 10 with direct access to the beach and the pool. Great location with stores and restaurants nearby. Communication with property management was easy and efficient.

almost a 5.... but....

our only complaint on this home is that it's on a 3rd floor without elevators but that's a preference a person can decide on BUt what shocks me was that 1 hour upon arriving our feet turned black ..as in black from walking barefoot in the floors of this home...It just shows that the home was not mopped for months probably... vacuumed YES mopped and sanitized NOOOOO. THIS house has a beautiful view of the sea. We love looking out the balcony to see the sunrise and sunset. We also appreciate that this house have all the things you need to cook and be comfy. The beachfront and pool was the highlight of this property.

One of our favorite places to stay!

We completely enjoyed our stay this week! The views from the balcony never disappoint! The beds were all very comfortable. The pull out couches were great for kids, if you want to sleep an adult on them I’d recommend bringing a mattress topper. The kitchen was one of the best stocked of any rental we’ve ever had! We’ve stayed in other rooms at Crystal villas but A12 is our favorite so far.

Minimal walking distance to beach. No noise complaints. Condo was clean and tidy. Upstairs air conditioning could have been cooler. Overall very nice property for your next Destin trip!

Excellent accommodation/Lousy Communication

There was no prior communication from Vacasa prior to my leaving for the 10 hour drive. Had to call for access to unit and beach gate. Called more than twice on internet access (unit connection numbers were not correct, I finally tried access code on a number of other units and connected - no thanks to Vacasa). When contacting the company I was sent overseas to speak to foreigners who were sometimes difficult to understand, and who could not solve the problems and did not even call back. After 5 calls to Vacasa I finally called Vrbo. This generated a return call from an earlier 'Cheyenne' who gave me a local contact number for Vacasa. At this point the issue was the fact that there was no heat in the unit, and no way to turn the heat on. I supposed the heater was controlled by WIFI. Brianna was the local contact who sent someone from her staff out to check the system. He decided there must be a repair man sent out - which would supposedly happen the next day by noon. Went out to dinner and found the unit running when I returned. Brianna never again answered the phone (approx 3:00pm Tuesday to 12:00n on Wednesday). The repair man never showed up (I assume he let himself in while we were gone? In short I will never book a Vacasa managed property again.

Long weekend stay

The condo we stayed in was an end unit which was nice. While it was just my husband and myself, we found it very roomy with more beds and a bathroom upstairs. While it is an older unit, there has been some updating done. The furnishings were very nice and it was very clean. We found everything we needed for a great stay.

Location location location…right on the beach!!! The unit needs work!!! Black mold on ceilings near air vents, visible damage to ceilings possibly due to leaking roof, walls in kitchen area are filthy,last night roaches all over the sink area and no ice maker in the fridge. The building itself looked to be in need of repair… visible rotting wood on roof of stairwell. The 800 number staff are not remotely accommodating. We saw the unit was cleaned early..why can’t you check in? I was willing to pay for it. Some of the units had so many people… you get 1 umbrella and 2 chairs for your space… I witnessed a family of at least 16 in one unit. They had 10 of their own chairs along the water and were in everyone else’s space!!! The beach is private which is nice and walking distance to restaurants but pricey for the accommodations. Not sure I would return.

My stay in A12 crystal villas

First of all I’d like to say my family and I have been coming to Destin Fl For 11 years We have stayed at crystal villas before Just not A12 I’m sure who is responsible for the cleanliness of the unit but it was not very clean AT ALL The jacuzzi tub upstairs did not work and the side part of the tub had completely fell off The left screen door to the balcony was completely OFF and put to the side with the screening falling on one side Someone has rolled a large carpet up and just put to the side The day we left the housekeeper came in to change the air vent and it had looked like it hadn’t been touched in years Booking thru Vacasa they were very nice and helpful but I’m not sure who was in charge of the cleaning crew Bc that was not up to par Very disappointing

So so!

The condo and furnishings were pretty. The king size bed was comfortable. The balcony provided a beautiful view of the ocean and had four comfortable chairs. Unfortunately, there were several things wrong. There is a huge window on the side of the living room that has no type of covering. Everyone from the condo next door and on the beach could see inside where people were sleeping on the sofa bed. If lights were turned on in the kitchen during the night, bugs scurried around. I saw one in the silverware drawer one day. The huge TV in the living room worked well. None of the other three TVs worked because we couldn't get a signal from COX. We couldn't call the cable company because they wanted an account number, which we didn't have. The upstairs tub/shower didn't drain well at all. Everyone who used it had dirty water around their feet. Upstairs had an electrical outlet that didn't have a cover. The Corning Ware casserole dish needs to be replaced. We were going to use it, but it has a bad crack. When we tried to open the door, our code didn't work. The maintenance man got us a new code. The notice I received gave the October code for the gate to get to the beach, but it didn't work. Another lady staying there saw me trying to get the gate open, and she told me the code hadn't been changed yet to October from September. The September code worked. I'm not sure about the gate to the pool because I never used it. My grandson made a call to someone who should know the codes. She was very nice, but the codes she had still didn't work. It was very confusing and a waste of our vacation time to have to deal with this.

Very Disappointed!

My family has been staying at Crystal Villas for 20+ years and this is the first time we have ever been disappointed with our accommodations. Upon arrival several live roaches came out of the kitchen drawers, from behind the stove and inside the dishwasher. We always choose to stay in a condo so we can eat meals in instead of going out and we had to wash all dishes before we felt comfortable using any dishes which was very inconvenient. We contacted Vacasa about the issues and they were very apologetic but they asked if we took any pictures. I found that to be very ridiculous obviously we didn't have time to take pictures when we were trying to kill live roaches. They said they would send an exterminator the next day. No one ever showed up to take care of the problem or contacted us again and we were forced to do it ourselves. Even after spraying and putting out roach motels we continued to see live roaches the rest of our stay. In addition, to a roach infestation the trash was not taken out and the floors were filthy. Not only is this unacceptable, it also a health hazard and should taken care of immediately.

Drive too far so made the best of it

Drove down from Charlotte North Carolina with the family for a short vacation. Check in was good fairly easy you get an email the day of with all the information you need to check into your rental. Love the location for my family close to everything. The cleanliness of the place was Soso. We had broken wrist bands for the pool. There were some broken items in the rental such as the screen on the sliding door the upstairs bathroom shower and while we were there (Wednesday to Sunday) we had three roaches come out to say ‘hi’. There was not One single broom and dust pan for use. We made the best of our stay but the cleanest of this rental was not up to part. Overall rating a 3. Most important part was that the kids had fun.
