Ellen's Escape in Rockford Bay/Lake CDA — no wake zone and family friendly.

Welcome to Ellen's Escape!
Ellen's Escape is a private lakefront home that perfectly blends relaxation and entertainment for up to 16 guests and 2 dogs. Nestled in a no-wake zone, it features a private beach and dock for your boat or jet ski, making it a personal paradise. The spacious floor plan includes four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a game room with a vintage pool table and classic games.

Amenities
Comfortable Accommodations: Each king and queen bed is outfitted with organic sheets and plush pillow tops for a restful night’s sleep. Every bedroom also includes chargers and dressers for your convenience. The kitchen is stocked with everything a chef could need, from two refrigerators, coffee makers, wine openers, blender, Instapot, and even an ice cream maker! Enjoy your meals inside at the breakfast bar or dining table, or take advantage of the seating on the top deck while soaking in stunning lake views.

Spend your days wading in the lake, lounging on the dock, or enjoying the floating pad, paddleboards and kayaks provided. Evenings are perfect for grilling on our two gas grills, while the fully equipped kitchen makes meal preparation easy, or take a short 2-minute stroll to Shooters, a nearby restaurant and bar.

Convenient Location
For those with boats, a gas station at Rockford Bay Marina is just minutes away. Ellen's Escape is also only 25 minutes from downtown Coeur d’Alene, a charming city known for its lakeside beauty, quaint shops, and delightful restaurants. Family fun awaits at Silverwood Theme Park, just 50 minutes away, while Silver Mountain Ski Resort is about an hour away for skiing and snowboarding. The Coeur d’Alene Casino is also a short 20-minute drive.

Parking Information
We have parking available for 4 to 6 cars. The carport accommodates 1 1/2 cars, with space for an additional 2 cars nearby, and there’s room to park 2 more cars above the driveway. Be aware that a jetski is on one side of the carport. Please ensure that parking stays within these limits to maintain a safe and pleasant environment for all guests. Kindly refrain from parking in our neighbors' spaces. Thank you for your understanding!

Noise Restrictions
To ensure a peaceful stay for everyone, we have strict noise policies in place:

Ellen's Escape is best suited for quieter groups, with a zero-tolerance policy for excessive noise, occupancy, and parties. Noise monitors are installed in the main part of the home and on the deck to monitor excessive sound levels during quiet hours from 10 PM to 5 AM. We will resort to forfeiting your refundable deposit and eviction for non-compliance.

Ellen's Escape offers short and mid-term rentals. Please contact us for the mid-term rental rate.

Fantastic family gathering place!

Our family had such an enjoyable stay at Ellen's Escape! There was so much for all of us to do and see. We had fun with the water toys and jumping off the dock. The birds and deer were exciting for the kiddos as well as our photographers. That beautiful night sky view from the dock and the deck was incredible! We were so comfortable with all the spaces to reconnect with each other. Kelly and Joe were quick to respond when we wanted to extend our stay. 10 out of 10!

A great weekend at the Lake.

Home and location on the water is perfect

The layout of the home and the location on the water is fantastic. The layout allows for many people, but yet still comfortable. The home takes advantage of the view which is breathtaking upon entering. The location on the lake is quiet, with the no wake zone, yet close enough to take the boat out for water sports with little effort. Our children enjoyed the diving board and the high jump platform, and my husband appreciated the ability to open water swim in the no wake zone. Downtown CdA is a 20 minute drive. Kelly is easy to work with and the whole transaction was smooth. Thanks!

Great location! Highly recommend!

We truly enjoyed our stay at Ellen's Escape. We loved being in a no-wake zone, cove......it was quiet, relaxing, and absolutely beautiful. Shooters restaurant is within walking distance. House was well stocked and well-maintained. The owner went above and beyond to make our stay a wonderful experience. We can't wait to go back!

The Ideal Lake Getaway

Our group couldn't have been more pleased by the location, atmosphere and amenities of Ellen's Escape. Everything worked out perfectly for our group. There were a lot of boats on the lake over the weekend (as to be expected), so it's a good thing we had two days (Thursday and Friday), in addition to the weekend stay. The The neighbors were quiet, so there was no problem from noise. Everyone in our group had a great day, and we look forward to being able to visit again, hopefully, next summer.

Lake getaway

This house is the perfect Lake CDA house! The house has lots of room for a large group and is in the perfect location. The kitchen is well stocked, and the owner has added all the special touches. The beach area has sand and shallow water for young kids. There are plenty of water toys renters can use as well. This is our 2nd year, and we are booking for next year, too!

Excellent cabin for large family

Every year our extended family rents a cabin on Lake CDA and this one has topped all of the previous spots. The cabin slept everyone comfortably and the location is the absolute best. The home had everything we needed for cooking, water fun, and even indoor games for the day we got rained on. Kelly was a great host!

Excellent Family Home and Location!

Our family had an amazing time. We couldn’t have asked for a better place for a family with children. The house was well stocked and furnished. The boat dock was perfect for our boat and Jet skis. Kelly was super helpful and responsive. We will definitely be coming back!!!

Great family gathering destination

This was a great property to gather together with family and friends and enjoy the lake. We had a group ranging in age from 20 to 85 and all were able to enjoy the property. The entire stay from check in to check out went smooth. The property was clean and comfortable with a great dock and swimming area. There was plenty of parking, including covered parking for 2 vehicles.

We love this part of Lake Coeur d' Alene. It is hidden away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Coeur d' Alene and Spokane but close enough we can get away for the weekend. There is something special about waking up to the sounds of the waves washing up on shore when a fishing boat sails by or drinking your first cup of coffee watching the birds trying to find a fish. It is a little slice of heaven.

This home has a spectacular view of lake Coeur d" Alene that can be seen by the large windows off the kitchen and living room. You can sit in the kitchen overlooking the lake or on the full deck off the kitchen and take in the serenity of the lake. It sits on the peaceful part of the lake as it is in the no-wake zone with its own private beach and dock. We are a 5 minute walk away to Shooters, which serves speciality drinks at the bar or you can sit on the deck for a wonderful lunch or dinner. We also have provided everything that we can think of to make your stay worry free. We have 2 brand new couches, pool table, games, game room with TV and water toys to make your stay as fun as possible.
