In the title of the listing, it states "Entire Home". I had no reason to think I had to scour through every detail to discover otherwise. It's very deceptive! Hidden at the end of a long description and again at the end of a list of 131 amenities, it mentions that the owner lives on the property "in a separate wing of the house" which means the master suite. It is closed off with no deadbolt between their room and the rest of the house. A towel was stuffed under the door to try to muffle sounds, but this didn't work. We could hear their dog barking, their cell phone ringing, someone talking on the phone and their TV or device playing loudly, which could be heard very clearly from the kitchen and foyer area. I made a video for proof. They provided no key to lock up our belongings when we went into town, they claimed it was a secure, gated community. While my husband was at a conference and I was in the house alone, the owner opened the door without permission and yelled hello. We realized when this happened, that they also entered while we were at dinner the night before and turned on a lamp that was not left on and rearranged items on the kitchen Island. Vrbo's policy states that he must have permission or enter only in the case of an emergency or urgent maintenance. Neither was the case. The owner's intrusive behavior and lack of concern for our privacy and security, made it that we could not and would not stay in such an uncomfortable and unsafe situation.
