The Hattie Soundfront Cottage is located in Surf City - the heart of Topsail Island and Topsail Beach. Named after our Great Aunt who loved the beauty nature offers. 3Br, 2.5 bath plus an outdoor shower. Reverse layout duplex with open floor plan overlooking beautiful inter-coastal waterway just steps away from the ocean. Fully furnished to feel like a home away from home. Just 1/2 mile to city center - walk to restaurants, ice cream, shopping, groceries, the community center, pier, surf school, 2 parks and more. Bunk room for the kids sleeps 4 with remaining two bedrooms comfortably appointed with queen beds with views of the sound and decks. Private outdoor shower and extra storage on ground level. Four decks offer 360 views, including sunsets over the sound and an abundance of birds and wildlife! Plenty of parking underneath house and driveway. Linens are provided and will be delivered to the house - 2 queen, 2 twin and 1 full bed and all bath towels. Convenient location also provides easy access to off island grocery stores and shopping.

Friends and family stayed together for a long weekend. The property is very clean and access to the beach is very convenient. We had a special request which the owner was very generous in allowing us. The view of the sound is wonderful, and the sunsets are beautiful.

Location was ideal, there was a small path leading straight to the beach where the beach wasn’t too crowded. The place was very clean with professionally cleaned linens. My only complaint was the bed 2 of the beds were not comfortable at all. The master and the room in the front and the noise from the street and planes made it hard to sleep. However the beach is why were there and I was grateful we chose this location! View from the back was beautiful.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Anita responded quickly to any questions I had and made the process seamless. The view of the sunsets was amazing! The kitchen had everything we needed to both cook in or just to have take out! Highly recommend!

Great location. Easy check-in. Inside was clean. The quilts had to be washed before making the beds because they were stained. The beds weren’t comfortable. There were ants in the kitchen when we checked in. Contacted host and they responded quickly on where they thought it was coming from and a recommendation on what we could do for it. Overall it was a decent stay.

Amazing location!

Beautiful sunsets, short walk to the beach, and all the beach gear you could think of accessible to you! We loved our stay here. Communicating with the owner was easy and fast as well. Would absolutely recommend this home to a friend.

Family Fun

This property is ideal for making fun memories with your family. Amazing views for gathering together including beautiful sunsets over the intercoastal water, plenty of space for , 2 1/2 bathrooms made showering much easier with our group of 7, parking for 4 vehicles, indoor & outdoor games available for quality time & laughs, beach equipment/ toys were a bonus especially the surf boards. The outdoor shower and additional hose made beach clean up much easier. Multi level balconies provided plenty of seating & opportunity to view wildlife together. Hosts were quick to respond and genuinely kind. There is even a path available with the property that leads you to the beach within a block. We made so many FUN memories as a family!

Great property, great location, lots of property perks

Seriously you are just a few minutes walk to a nearby beach access point. You're even within walking distance to some great dining options, gift shops, and a grocery store. Almost everything you need for a day at the beach they have on-hand. The outdoor shower was super-helpful in keeping all that sand you bring back out of the house. There were games for the kids to play, a Roku we used to help live stream the Olympics, books that my spouse found engaging while she enjoyed some early morning moments on one of the 4 decks. I have no complaints about the home at all. Thanks for letting us stay at your property, we loved every minute of it except a few sunburns :).

Absolutely Perfect!!!!!!

I can’t say enough positive things about this stay!!First of all, the owner was very quick to respond when I had lost the check in info. We met two of the neighbors who actually live in houses on either side and they were so nice! Having our linens saran wrapped and in a tub let us know that they were definitely clean and we didn’t even use them all so we had plenty! If we had stayed longer we would have also had the washer and dryer available. The house was spotless, extremely roomy and had such a welcoming feel and beautiful decor. We don’t have little ones but we noticed how family and kid friendly it was from the little step stools under the sinks , kids seating to a downstairs closet FULL of beach wagons, beach toys etc! Also there were movies, games and books. We loved playing corn hole in the back yard as we watched the most gorgeous sunset!! Having three bathrooms and two showers was perfect! The absolute highlight of this house was the porches!!! You could open the door of the living room, two bedrooms and kitchen and have full access to very roomy porches. Being able to open the curtains of the main bedroom and have that gorgeous view of the sound which you could enjoy either from inside or outside on the porch was just breathtaking! There was a nice breeze in the evenings as i sat on the porch facing the sound and read until it became dark. You just can’t go wrong with this house. I am hoping that it will be available off season because we would definitely return!

Sunset over the Sound!

Really enjoyed the stay at this sound front location over Labor Day weekend. Just a half mile walk into town and the beach was just one block over. Kitchen is well stocked and plenty of beach equipment in the storage room so we didn’t have to haul everything from Wake Forest.

Great House for Big Families

Beautiful property, tons of things inside and outside to do/use to keep kiddos entertained and comfortable. My kids loved the bunk beds and cooking in the kitchen was a dream! We’re already talking about coming back next year!

End of summer vacation

Perfect place to stay with college age children. Loved the spacious kitchen and and it was well stocked. The evening sunsets were picture perfect.

Great Family Rental

The property was clean, well-situated, and suited my family's needs perfectly. The outdoor shower is a Godsend and it's a reasonable walk to the beach and close to Surf City. I initially thought we might explore the various beaches in the island, but the beach closest to the property was so nice, convenient, and low-key that we went there everyday. I would definitely take my family back here.

Enjoyed our stay very much. Balconies afforded beautiful sunset views from living area as well as from two bedrooms. Clean and spacious living/kitchen/dining areas. Great proximity to Surf City Bridge, thus allowing access to shopping and restaurants.

Lovely stay!

Well stocked and comfortable. TThe views out the back were beautiful. Close to beach and shops. The storage room had lots of useful items for the beach including chairs, sand toys and corn hole boards. Anita replied to messages very quickly. Great experience.

We built this home to have a place where family can spend time together. We love the view of the sound and the proximity to the town center to enjoy all Topsail has to offer. Spend the day on the beach, enjoy all the wildlife and birds from the deck, walk to shopping restaurants, ice cream, pier fishing, marina, or convenient local grocery store.
