Pretty Good

All and all the house is pretty clean, except for the cooking cabinets, a lot of food crumbs. The house itself is well built and maintained, and the location is really good for not being directly on the beach. The beach access was a super short walk right across the street. We could also see more of the ocean from the top balcony than we thought. Just a few things that could be improved, there was no trash can in the master bath, the pans had teflon coming off of them, we contacted the manager and they delivered new ones the next day. There’s zero things left behind, so you have to buy everything from salt and pepper to coffee filters.

Exactly what we wanted. It was clean & well stocked. The leasing agent was very helpful sorting out the wifi issue we had when we arrived. We'd definitely look to stay here again.

We stayed 7 days! The check out time isn't my favorite. Its hard to be out so early. And no washer made it challenging. Otherwise we loved everything about the house! Almost felt met for me!! Not only is there an ocean view but the 20 steps to beach access was amazing! Nobody could find mom.. lol I absolutely fell in love with the van gogh costers! And the home decor! Will stay again! Hopefully with a working washer. Lol greaThe van gogh coasters just locked

It's all about location

Just got home after spending a week at this wonderful place. The ocean view was better than expected and this is in a quiet location with easy access to everything Surf City has to offer. Across the street from beach access and a short walk to downtown. We enjoyed the beach gear that was provided as well. The main floor has plenty of room for everyone to spread out and enjoy being together.

Great location in asked City

The home was in a fantastic location. Beach access 1 house down, shopping and dining were all walkable. There’s a small grocery store on the island that is an easy bike ride from the house but we were able to quickly drive across the bridge for larger grocery options. The house was well appointed with plenty of dishes and glasses. The AC worked very well which was important after a long day on the beach. Also, there’s a great selection of beach equipment (chairs, boogie boards, umbrellas) in the storage room. The house doesn’t come with linens, towels or a grill so you need to be sure to prepare for that. Overall, would highly recommend this place.

Great location but bad management!

It was a fantastic location - very very close to the beach. Also close to restaurants, market, liquor store etc. The property was not clean - we got there a bit early at 2:15 - check in time was 3. We called Myers Realty and they said the cleaning crew had not been there yet. (You can’t clean a 4 bedroom house in 45 minutes.) The cleaning crew arrived around 2:30. We left so they could clean but when we returned at 4:30 it still needed additional cleaning which we now had to do. Also we discovered that the dishwasher was not working and all the glasses were dirty. On Monday I called Myer Realty once again and they said they could not fix the dishwasher until Thursday between 9 and noon! We were supposed to get a phone call before the repairman arrived but he just showed up. He said the dishwasher could not be fixed until Monday! So the biggest complaints were the place was dirty and dishes had to be hand washed! I asked for some sort of refund when I called about the broken dishwasher and they said they would get back to me. They never did. Also who wants to wait for a repairman on their beach vacation!! As far as I am concerned they owe me for my time waiting for the repairman, our cleaning services and the late check in time!

Good not great stay

The house is an amazing location first all and it is beautifully decorated and the rooms are good. We did have an issue with the cleanliness of all the kitchen glassware, silverware and cookware. About 70% of everything was dirty including a lot of things having dead bugs in them. The realtor should consider getting all of this cleaned between stays. The listing also was not accurate and photos were different from when we first booked (example photo had a single bed and then after we booked it changed to a bunk bed) As well as for us to be in the 21 century it was a bit old school to have to go get keys and drop off after. Normally stays like this have access codes so that was just not very modern. Lastly nothing is provided with this stay including trash bags, dish detergent, sponges, kitchen towels, toilet paper, paper towels. We had to buy all this stuff when we arrived. All of us are use to staying in air bnb’s that those items are provided. So just be aware you have to buy them.

Great Location

The property is in a great location with a very short walk to the beach access. The pier, restaurants, and bridge were within walking distance as well. The bedrooms were nice and the kitchen well equipped. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the morning and evenings. We will definitely consider returning here next year. It fit our family perfectly.

Beautiful home but poor logistics

We had been to this house before. It is a great location and beautiful home. The property management experience could have been better. We got there after five due to traffic. An envelope with our keys and a letter was waiting for us. Upon opening the envelope, we had received only one key to the house even though they knew we had seven adults with us. Additionally, they did not provide the key to the storage unit. Because we had been there two years earlier, we knew the storage unit had folding chairs and, as such, did not bring enough from Ohio. We eventually got more house keys and the storage unit key, but we were told not to lose the storage unit key because it was the only one. If we had not known about the storage unit, we would not have had access to it. Also, the washer did not work properly. It would only work with hot water not cold. Supposedly a repair man stopped by to fix it, but the cold water never came on. The WiFi channel and password on the introductory letter were Incorrect as well. We figured it out but the welcome letter should be updated. We feel it might have been good customer service for the realty to drop off the missing keys versus making us go back to the office to get them.
