Sunsets on the sound, 3 blocks from the beach, room for everyone! This 5 bedroom, 4 bathroom house is perfectly located in Surf City for walking to tacos and smoothies, shops, and the beach! Public beach access is just a 3 minute walk. The emerald winding creeks of the sound create gorgeous views from every floor on the back of the house, with a screened in porch equipped for outdoor dining and drinks as you watch the sun dip into the water at the end of the day. Newly furnished, ready for you!

The bathrooms are newly updated, LVP flooring has been added throughout, and all new beds with memory foam mattresses. The kitchen is stocked with non-toxic cookware and coffee making options. Fans in every bedroom closet ensure that white noise devices do not have to be on your list of "what to bring." Sheets, bath towels, and beach towels provided. Make yourself at home! Furniture is new (photos above do not reflect current furniture); we have optimized the use of each room: 2 bunkrooms, each with bunkbed + trundle; 2 master bedrooms each with 1 queen bed; third master bedroom with 1 king bed. All of the master bedrooms have en suite, private bathrooms.

Family friendly neighborhood and coldesac are perfect for kids playing and riding bikes. Convenient outdoor shower, bikes, beach chairs, umbrella, beach cart, and beach toys add to the ease and fun of your trip! A charcoal grill makes for easy dinner clean up at the end of the day, while the kids play in the grassy backyard with the Intracoastal Waterway as your playground.

The house was wonderful and the view on the back porch was GORGEOUS! We were in walking distance from shops and restaurants, and Tyler was very attentive and helpful. We will definitely stay there again when we come back!

We had a great time staying here for a nice fall weekend. The kitchen was a bit small for more than one person but other than that, everything was clean and in good condition and the beds were comfortable.

We loved our stay! Fully stocked kitchen to the max! We’ve been to island lots and lots of times and love it there so much. The walk was a little far with littles and all their “junk” but the house was one of the cleanest we’ve ever been to!!! Great location for a family of many ages

Wonderful vacation! Would recommend!

We loved our stay here! The hosts were extremely responsive and ensured we had a great time. They promptly addressed and fixed the couple of small issues we ran into. We loved spending time on the screened in porch and all the spaces were well utilized. It was a short walk to the beach and the beach cart provided was very helpful! 10/10 would stay here again!

HS Youth Group Retreat

We took our HS Youth from a church youth group here for a retreat over the weekend to escape the real world and practice resting. It was a great location, perfect for splitting up rooms, easy to walk to the beach, and the next door neighbor/concierge was very helpful. This is an awesome house and great hosts!!

Wonderful Time in Topsail!

We loved the house and all the amenities! A perfect size for all our family! The location on the marsh is beautiful and super close to the beach! Best of both worlds! Owner was so friendly and helpful and access to the on-island assistant was great!! Highly recommend!!

Great beach weekend!

We had a great time at the house. There was a storm the day of our arrival and the host was awesome at providing updates - fortunately there were no issues. The house is an easy walk to the beach and has beautiful views of the innercoastal. Highly recommended!

Awesomely appointed home!

We loved our stay at this home! This was the most well appointed house I have ever rented and I have stayed at a lot of rentals! They have thought of everything to make your trip as seamless as possible! The location was excellent, the neighborhood outstanding and the house was clean and ready for us when we got there! Surf City is an awesome neighborhood and we really enjoyed our stay! Thank you for sharing your place with us!

We came in town for a funeral and with various family. So this house was a great solution. House was as described. Easy peasy! Kitchen was well equipped. Porches were enjoyed. Used grill. Dining area accommodated us all. Enjoyed being able to walk to various spots, including beach.

Great family weekend

We wanted a place where we could gather with our children and their children without being too crowded like we would have been in our down sized home. This fit the bill. The kids really enjoyed riding their bikes and scooters in the cul de sac. We had a great time.

This was a great rental for my family. Easy access to everything. Love being on the marsh and have ocean views too. Tyler and Kimberly were very organized and super responsive. This is the first rental that was true to advertisement. We would highly recommend this rental!

Everything you need!

Well appointed house - lots of beach toys including chairs, bikes and even a surfboard - all in great condition! Kitchen was well stocked and owner was very responsive when we had an issue with the dryer. Great location, short walk to the beach and stunning views of the sunset over the marsh. Overall, a fantastic experience!

Excellent views from a very well-equipped house in great location

Owners have been extremely thoughtful in appointing the house including beach chairs, surfboard, charcoal grill, well-stocked kitchen...the list goes on. Owner communication was top-notch including pre-sent videos to point out audio-visual technology and other details. Very clean, view is beautiful, and access to the beach less than a 5-minute walk. Highly recommend!

Tyler and family were amazing to communicate with! Couldn't be nicer and responded almost immediately to us when we reached out. The home was beautiful both in amenities and location! Two 1/2 block walk to gorgeous beach and the best views from the multiple decks. We would absolutely rent again!

Happy times and hurricane

We came to Surf City for our oldest son's wedding. We are from Florida and thought we had left the hurricane behind, but turns out we brought it with us. We were not worried about a category 1 and were going to see the kids married, no matter what. Since the home is on the sound, there was a little bit of flooding in the yard and on the bottom porch, but we were happy as clams inside with plenty of family and fun. The place was built for a storm. The ground level is the parking/ on stilts. So a little water was no problem. We never had any issues, despite a hurricane. Power, phones, air conditioning and even internet, never had a blip. Water was gone with the tide and we carried on as usual. Point-of-contact and owner were both available, but not intrusive. They checked on us with the storm coming and let us know pertinent information, just in case. The following day was beautiful and the wedding went on without a hitch. We had plenty of room for our family of 5 plus 4 grandparents. 5 separate bedrooms and 4 baths made for plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. The main floor layout with the large dining next to the living area made for great mingling as some played board games while others watched football and everyone chatted. There was enough room for dinners with seating inside and out with gorgeous views. Kitchen was wonderfully appointed with everything we needed to feed our crew. We were even impressed to find extras like a french press, some standard seasoning/ spices, Tupperware and enough dishes to feed everyone without having to wash every dish in between. Our boys are ages 9 and up. It was wonderful for them as they were 2 rooms with bunks (and a trundle) that they could hang out, away from grown ups. They even had their own balcony to play on. If you have toddlers, there are some beautiful glass vases to move out of reach and a lot of stairs. They do have a baby gate in the closet, but the main floor has stairs going up and down. No baby locks on the kitchen cabinets. All in all, we loved this place. It went above and beyond in keeping us safe and comfortable during a storm. It was also an amazing home to host our family all together for a happy celebration. I'm sure we will visit again!

Besteps Family Vacation 2022

Surf city did not disappoint. We had a great time on the island and definitely will be back. The atmosphere there is amazing; so laid back and tranquil. The house was a perfect location. It is not too far of a walk to the beach and the sound views and sunsets were beautiful. Our hosts were great to work with and very accommodating. We can’t wait to go back again.

Great stay close to everything

We had a great week, Tyler was very responsive and helpful with any questions and when asking for recommendations. This is an easy walk to the beach or local shops and restaurants. The house was clean and the kids rooms on the lower level were well spread out from the master bedrooms on the upper two levels. Kitchen and shed were well-stocked with items so we really did not need to bring much from home. Definitely take advantage of the backyard space, we had an outdoor movie night and fire pit in a nice setting. Had a great week!

Dreamy family trip

Christmas at the beach

We had a great time! The house was perfect for our two kids and their families! Just wish the curtains had been darker for the infant and toddlers to nap. We were down for the flotilla and it was great! We would definitely stay again!

As a native NC family of 5, we've stayed in dozens of rentals with our kids at all ages (they're now teens), and have developed an extensive list of what makes a rental home great! We live and work in Raleigh, and get to the beach any chance we get. We love the outdoors and water activities, especially surfing and boogie boarding. We're incredibly excited about our beach home, and can't wait to share it with you!

The views of the waterway, proximity to the beach, and bedrooms for everyone are the biggest hits on our wish list for this house! We also love being just down the street from the activities of Surf City, a cute and chill surf town. The neighborhood is welcoming and so family friendly, with water access on both sides of the house!
