Beautiful house 1 block from the beach!

2 bedroom 2 bath house 1 block from the beach. Enjoy beautiful Cape May in the heart of the historic district. < 15 min walk to restaurants and shops. < 1 min walk to beach. This house is a rear unit from main house with separate entrance and shared backyard.

Amazon fire stick provided as well.

House has a separate entrance from the front unit. For larger groups, inquire regarding both units (main house is 6 beds, 5.5 baths).

There is only street parking available.

Between memorial day and Labor day, only Saturday to Saturday reservations will be accepted.

Amazing location

We stay here every year, the location cannot be beat. Comfortable beach cottage for our family, good outdoor space to sit and eat or relax and read a book. We are very happy with this place!

Our favorite getaway

We have been staying at this property for years. It’s a great location and we love the house. Nice outdoor space too. Owner is easy to get in contact with if needed. Only one block to the beach, arcade, golf, and more.

Close to all necessary places for a great Cape May experience.

The property is in a great location. We’ve been using this apartment for three summers now and believe the parking has been less available wish made us decide not to move our car at all. Dinner plans were changed but CM offers many places to choose from. We hope that we will see a few updates in the property because we plan to come again next year.

So So with potential

The location to beach and shops is fabulous, but no parking, warning! The problem was the details. The master bedroom cover had stains (ick), the 2 pans were scratched up and burned previously and the knives were rusty. The furniture was patio furniture, uncomfortable, not for lounging. Our master closet had a table in it so we had very little space to hang clothes on the wire hangers, which I haven’t used in decades. No sugar packets. Beach accessories were taken by other tenants. Don’t cook if you stay here, no dishwasher detergent. Renovated showers were a plus. Didn’t meet the owners but seemed nice from correspondence.

Cape May Stay

overall this was a great property in an excellent location. Some details need improvement, however. The cutlery is rusty. There is just no reason for that. Some appliances like the toaster were broken. There was a significant sugar ant problem, with traps out already so it was already a known issue that wasn't dealt with properly. I noticed that some issues we had were mentioned on prior reviews, so while they were not huge problems, it suggests the property manager is not dealing with them promptly. The house was otherwise comfortable, roomy, in a fantastic location. I would stay here again for sure, it's just disappointing that there is not more attention being paid to these issues - it gives the feeling that the owners are just not connected to what is going on at the property. In some ways, it felt more like some of the rustic cabins I have stayed in (bring your own soap, shampoo, toilet paper, paper towels, even dish soap) while being in a location (Cape May) that usually caters to more comfort. Are the owners really unable to provide some basic toiletries or replace a knife block? At this price point, they really should be.

Nice Accommodation, But Still Needs Improvement.

We have stayed here before and knew what to expect in terms of needing to provide basically everything for our stay, and I mean EVERYTHING, such as toilet paper, kitchen sponge, paper towel, etc. The layout of the unit along with the two bathrooms and kitchen are great; however, the owners clearly don’t put in the care necessary to keep the unit from feeling run down and sad. They have added new “used” furniture and decore, which in theory would be a good thing. Unfortunately, almost all of the additions don’t make sense. For example, in the upstairs loft bedroom a sofa was added that blocks the closet. I was unable to open the only closet until I shimmed the sofa a couple of feet. They also rearranged the vanity in the bathroom and the new dresser in its place made no sense and blocked a much needed outlet. In the downstairs bedroom the additional furniture has ended up overcrowding the room and has made it extremely difficult to walk and get to the closet. On the upside, there was a new sofa in the living room which made family time much better than it had been in past years. Also, there is a nice sitting area outside, but an umbrella would make it even better. Parking at this accommodation is always a problem. However, the location is pretty good. There is a mini golf course, some nice food establishments, Kohrs ice cream, Fudge Kitchen, and the beach is only one block away. The only downside about the location is that it is a bit of a distance from Washington Square.

Great place and great location

We had a great week. The place was set up nicely for our family and had ample space. The only minor drawback was the living room furniture wasn’t the most comfortable to lounge on. That only came into play because we had two rainy days. All in all, great place and we had a great trip!

Comfortable Cape May Cottage

Great location - less than a block from the beach and well within walking distance to the many restaurants and shops Cape May offers. Clean comfortable cottage - loved being able to use the outdoor shower after the beach and the gas fire pit at night. Owner was very responsive to our questions and comments!

Great location

This house was great. Big enough for our family and had everything we needed. You couldn’t beat the location! A block from the beach and a short walk to all the restaurants and shops. We had a great time and enjoyed the beach and sitting by the fire pit at the house!

4C's - Charming, Comfortable, Clean and Convenient

We just returned from staying at this property and really enjoyed the location. It's a block from the beach. Easy walk to and from and then about a 10 minute walk at most to Washington Mall. On street parking only, but there a several within the block and several times we were able to park right in front. The unit is bright and cheery. One bedroom and bath on first floor, the second bedroom and bath are on the 2nd floor loft. Perfect place to stay for our beach vacation. Would definitely book again.

Cape May beach vacation at its best1

We had a few things come up but the owners were very attentive to our questions. Great location and we could deal with the street parking. Loved having laundry room and well equipped kitchen. We hope to return next summer.
