Spectacular Bay View - Bird Watching and Dolphin Spotting

POOL OPEN!!!

Our condo is located directly on the bay where the Sarasota Bay and Anna Maria Sound meet. Sitting on the private balcony, you can watch nature unfold before you. The dolphins and manatees are an exciting almost daily spot. The generous rooms provide enough space to make you feel comfortable when taking a break from the many available resort and island activities.

Our condo is just a short walk across the street from the beach. making it easy to plan a beach day or a stroll over to see the sunset. You will enjoy the largest saltwater pool on the island, a first-class tennis/pickleball court, and outdoor grills.

The master bedroom has a DreamCloud king bed. The second bedroom is a full bed and a twin rollaway bed (so you can move it if needed). There are two full bathrooms and a master closet. There is also a washer and dryer in the unit. All linens and towels (beach too) are provided. All traditional appliances are also included. Please plan to bring your own toiletries.

We allow one small dog under 25 pounds. This is an association rule and is strictly enforced. There is a $200 nonrefundable pet deposit.

It's hard to capture the splendor of nature’s beauty. The bay is full of life and It so peaceful to watch. Come and experience it for yourself.

Place was clean, great views, loved watching boats and nature. It was also nicely updated. Any issues and the owner was extremely responsive and cared a lot about guest experience. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful Bay Views and very close to the Beach!

Condo is perfectly located between the Gulf and Bay! We were able to see Dolphins and wildlife straight from the patio. Wonderful sunrises from the bay then sunsets from the Gulf! Great communication with the owner, Overall i recommend staying at this rental!

Beautiful sunrises

We had a great stay. This unit is very nice with the most beautiful sunrises over the bay. Easy check in and a great location to beach and restaurants. Will definitely stay again. Only regret is we didn’t stay long enough.

Paradise on the Bay

Location was wonderful to walk to both state parks and restaurants close by. Got to see the dolphins and wildlife after a day on the beach from the balcony. Master bedroom mattress was perfect for us. Couch was comfy to curl up on. Looking forward to returning next year.

My mom and I have been to AMI a few times and loved the location of this condo! We got to watch the sunrise and wildlife every day right from our balcony. The communication with the property manager was also easy and she was quick to respond!

Time to relax

We had such a wonderful 2 weeks. The owner was very easy to communicate with. Her place was beautiful but the view is hard to explain. Just gorgeous. I spent so much time on the deck watching the boats go by and we saw dolphins not to mention other wildlife. Simply beautiful! Definitely would stay there again

Runaway Bay is a terrific spot to relax and have the best of both worlds..beautiful pool, beautiful beach across the street. Short drive to most everywhere and if you don't want to drive there's the free trolley or monkey bus (tips are how they get paid). Seafood restaurants abound, relaxed atmosphere everywhere and you can't beat waking up to the sunrise and saying goodnight as you savor a stunning sunset. Thanks Katie and AMI for a lovely time!

Wonderful place!

This is a lovely place, and we really did get to see dolphins from the little balcony many mornings. pelicans, egrets, and many other birds, too. The owner Katie simply could not be nicer or more thoughtful and the condo has everything one could want or need. Comfy and cozy and bright It is up on the second floor so you do need to be able to go up and down stairs. This created no problem for us and we have enjoyed our stay enormously. Highly recommend —

Best view on Anna Maria Island!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at thos property! The bay view from the cool and shady lanai was phenomenal. We saw a dolphin family, great and snowy egrets, a great blue heron, osprey, and a racoon every day. We also saw a possum, smaller herons, ibis, and lots of mullets. Being on the bay side, the unit was very quiet - only nature sounds and a few boats on the weekend. The unit was very clean and as described. The complex is quiet and well-maintained. Thebeach is just across Gulf Drive and it's lovely. We watched the sunrise from the lanai and sunset from the beach. We're coming back!

This is our happy place!

The condo is clean, updated, and nicely decorated. Our favorite spot to hang out is the lanai. It's so peaceful! I heard a dolphin blow before I saw it and heard the fish jumping. Now that's quiet! There’s always wildlife to watch. This visit we saw dolphins, mullet, spotted eagle rays, racoons, rabbits, a great blue heron, a small blue heron, great egrets, snowy egrets, brown pelicans, a reddish egret, American Wigeon (ducks), Magnifocent frigatebirds, cormorants, red bellied woodpecker, American redstart, several types of gulls, and some other birds that I haven't been able to identify!

Susan- thank you for being a frequent visitor. I strive to make the condo the perfect place for a relaxing vacation. Watching the wildlife is my favorite part too. We were lucky to see a manatee swim by.

Property needs updating. Master Bathroom sink did not drain and the front screen door looks bad as in cleaning/painting or replacing. But enough of of that.The view is great and had a great time. The cost is getting out of hand but I guess thats the whole island.

Only problem was a broken chain on toilet. Had been previously repaired with bread twist tie. Maintenance came by and repaired with paper clip. Lasted 2 flushes. Needs chain replaced.

Incredible view

This was our first time visiting Anna Maria Island and we didn't know what to expect with the island. We found the booking and check-in and checkout process was very smooth. Communication with the owner was easy and she replied quickly. You have a large assigned parking spot in front of the building and if needed there are a few guest parking spots around the complex on first come, first serve basis. The unit is as described and the pictures are accurate in the listing. The bay views were awesome, we saw dolphins every day and watching the boat traffic was fun as well. The condo was clean and has been recently updated. The neighbors were friendly and the entire complex was quiet overall. The condo is in a great location to get on/off island and the trolley stop is next to the entrance, which is a huge plus. We liked that the beach access is directly across the street and has its own crosswalk as well. The large pool saw lots of use while we were there (peak spring break). They had quiet/exercise swim from 8-10am, and regular swim from 10- until dusk. The pool closes a half hour before sunset. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and we would definitely book this condo again.

We absolutely loved our stay here. From the very beginning Katie was so helpful. She answered my questions and gave the BEST recommendations which I had asked her for. She also checked in to make sure we found it and got in ok. Very comfortable condo, with fantastic view of the bay both in the master bedroom and the balcony. Walk right across the street to the other side and you’re at what we think is the nicest beach on the island. We fell in love with this island and the warm kind people on it. It’s not commercialized so always feels like vacation. Plenty of delicious seafood restaurants- The Beachhouse was our favorite. . We can’t wait to go back.

Great intercoastal view

We have stayed at Runaway Bay properties many times. This property had amazing views of the intercoastal. We saw dolphins and a shark right from our lanai. The property has had a few updates, though not done very professionally. Beds were new and comfortable and so was the sectional sofa. The rest of the furniture was obviously bought as cost effectively as possible. Unit had the best beach cart, chairs, umbrellas and toys of any unit we have used. Just know for upper unit you need to carry everything upstairs every time. Was greatly disappointed the pool was closed the entire stay. We were by told by property manager things were delayed due to Ian. While residents told us delays were due to finding a company who would work with HOA insurance to keep homeowner price down. Since this was a scheduled fix not sure why this is still a delay. Pool looked beautiful but not being used. Hope to enjoy next time we visit.

Ideal getaway

The property has a great location! We really enjoyed the patio for bird and dolphin watching. The property was very clean and the owner was great about communicating when we had any questions.

Christmas in Bradenton Beach

Nice condo, clean. Kitchen had everything we needed. Beach items definitely could use an upgrade but we had beach chairs shipped to family nearby so luckily we had a couple nice chairs. We loved the local area, plenty to do. Unfortunately the trundle bed is not usable as such so our youngest slept on the sectional. View from the balcony is what sold us on this unit.

Great Property

We had a great 9 day stay, property was just as advertised. The location on the bay and balcony on the water was the real winning factor. Katie was great with communication before and during the stay. Would definitely stay again!

Happy Family of Five

Great location. Saw dolphins & manatees maybe 100ft from our deck! Loved watching beautiful sunrises in AM and several boats throughout the day. Easy walk to beach, pool & trolley stop. Kitchen contained just about anything we needed for cooking meals. Condo contained several beach items; however most were in a well used state. Would maybe recommend a few extra pillows on master bed. Found we were unable to fully pull out trundle bed (blocked by other bed) but our kids were happy to bunk together in the full and the other in the daybed. Katie the owner was wonderful, easy to work with and quick to respond.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

We have a friend who owns at Runaway Bay and loved it. When this unit became available with its spectacular bay views, we couldn't turn it down. One of my favorite things to do is to watch for dolphins. On the gulf you may see one. On the bay it is pretty much guaranteed several times a day. Sitting on the balcony, you see so many birds and other wildlife. It's fascinating to watch. Another perk is we can launch our kayaks from the launch.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Anna Maria Island has a free trolley so you never need to drive your car. Our unit is only a ten minute walk to Bridge Street so it's easy to get to, but you don't get the noise and crowd if you stay too close. The beach is right across the street. Just a quick walk and you have beautiful sunsets. Besides a visit to Publix, you can get by without ever taking your car.
