Picturesque two-story, 3 BR/3 B lake house with separate guest quarters. Fully-furnished with a waterfront backyard and private dock with direct access to the lake

Come stay at my lovely home on Lake Palestine. It is the perfect escape from busy life, whether it be for a week-long family vacation or a weekend on your own. Enjoy getting back in touch with the outdoors by going fishing, boating, kayaking, having a picnic in the yard, or sipping on your morning coffee as you listen to the soft crash of the waves on the shore. However, your vacation isn’t too far from the big city amenities. Chandler, which is a wonderful choice of dining, is just 10 minutes away. Tyler, TX is filled with fine dining of every variety and loads of entertainment, from an amazing zoo to movie theaters to endless shopping opportunities and just a 30 minute drive. The Villages Resort is just a 5 minute boat drive to a full service marina. The Villages Resort also boasts a fantastic indoor water park.

Our home is fully-furnished and the perfect size for couples, small families, or your group of friends and fur babies.

Check-in was ok.The kitchen facilities was great.Could use a bigger frying pan.I would also suggest putting a sign in front of your pier, so guests will know which one to use.

Enjoyable 3 night stay. Great setting for our family and pets. Just wish the fish were biting. Everything worked perfectly.

Great relaxing place to stay.

Great relaxing place to stay. Great for sitting on the porch while dog runs and plays in the fenced in yard and husband fishing off the pier.

5 Star owner communication

Overall we had a wonderful time and the accommodations were suitable. The Cottage is very nice and the fenced in yard is great for visiting dogs. ***The nearest grocery store is 20minutes away.***There is a lake store 5min away with limited selections available. 5 stars Owner Communication-The owner messaged me prior to our visit to report the gas grill had been destroyed in a wind storm just days before we were set to arrive, which was very nice of her to do. We didn't plan to bbq so it was not a problem for us. 2 Stars Neighborhood-When we were driving through the neighborhood to get to the house, we were concerned. The houses were very run down/falling apart & there were a lot of dogs running free in the road. It made us nervous for our safety, being a group of 3 women, but the neighbors were quiet and we had no issues at all. The house itself was cute, inside and out. 3 Stars Guest Suite-It should be noted that the guest suite is a metal shed detached from the main house. Perfect for two couples with kids - Parents in main house, kids in the shed (2 queen beds in shed with full bathroom, washer/dryer, as well as a little kitchenette setup. Very clean & bright. 3 Stars CleaningThere was an issue with the cleaning (specifically the oven) which we reported on our first night. The owner sent out the cleaning crew first thing in the morning and they got the oven/stove cleaned for us. They were very quick and professional.

Veterans week campout

We loved the lakefront location! The great yard was expansive and gated. Our pets had a great time running around in the yard. We all had a great time talking around the firepit, fishing off the dock, playing games nightly around the kitchen table together. The boat dock was perfect as we were able to park the boat alongside each night to charge the batteries. Each morning it was easy to jump in and head out to fish- we caught plenty. All in all a wonderful family week made pleasant because of the host.

Great cottage

We stay here every year. We love the cottage. No issues and thank you for the early check in. The door handle on the guest house is a little tricky and kept coming off but my husband was able to put it back on each time. See you next October

Family get together

2 elderly brothers and wives stayed 2 nights. The weather was great and we enjoyed the backyard that was fenced so excellent for pets. Air conditioning in main house would not cool. Door knob on small guest house was not attached.

Week at the lake.

Upstairs balcony is a great place to relax and enjoy the view of the lake. Fenced in yard is a huge plus with dogs. Good location on lake and within 35 minutes of Tyler and Palestine.

Great until it wasnt

First let me say the property is beautiful. The house is very nice... They have a ton of games kayaks and a fully fenced yard. As soon as we got there we noticed after a rain that one of the windows leaked... We let them know, cleaned it up and they were appreciative. We then started cooking and found several live roaches the tiny ones and the lt brown medium ones. They were all around the stove , refrigerator and inside the dishwasher...Ok.. house was closed up.. I reached out to them to see if there was any spray. 4 hours later ...They said that the cleaner not last guests had seen any. Then about an hour later we reached out to ask about the hot water in the guest house for the shower and washer... 6 hours later..They said it should work and was the main house hot water working ? Yes it was but they never tried to fix any of the issues or help us fix them... We washed everything before we used it even out of the dishwasher.

It was exactly what was listed and looked like the pictures. Location was perfect, kayaks were a HUGE plus for the kids, location was great, and direct lake access was perfect.

Lakehouse getaway

The house was very clean and had a beautiful view of the lake. We were able to stay a night just my wife and I to enjoy the peaceful solitude, and then a night with our 3 kids. I would definitely recommend to any couple looking for a romantic getaway or for a small family wanting to enjoy some time on the lake.

Nice stay on a beautiful lot.

The property was nice and we enjoyed our stay. There is a beautiful view of the water feom the back of the house. It is a typical older lake house but had most of what we needed. Kitchen essentials could use an update as we had a hard time baking a simple cake. No ice maker on premises so we spent a lot on ice. Overall, our stay was nice!

Relaxing getaway

Sunrise shores cottage was a very pleasant and relaxing stay. Very clean and enough room for the whole family. I loved the big yard and access to kayaks and a paddle boat. Unfortunately, it stormed our whole stay so we could not enjoy the lake quite as much as we had hoped. But we loved the cottage and the host was very responsive and helped us work through some complications with the stormy weather. We will definitely book this cottage again!

Nice Weekend at the Lake

The house is perfect for a small group. We didn’t use the side cottage for extra guests but it would have been perfect had we had a larger group. We did not take advantage of the washer and dryer for our short stay but it’s there if you need it. The yard is very large and well kept. The fenced in area was great for our dogs. We took the kayaks out a few times and were grateful they were there for our use. The neighborhood is mostly trailer homes. The host was so accommodating in rescheduling our stay due to a pet emergency, just days before our original stay. She did not have to do that for us but did and we were so grateful.

Tyler trip

We enjoyed our time on the lake. The lake was higher than normal due to recent rains. But it didn't stop the kids from enjoying the Kayaks and paddle boat. Fishing was good early in the morning or in the evening. We just catched and released.

Great Memorial Day

We booked this cottage for out of town relatives to stay. We have a place on lake, but not enough room. Cottage was great, we didn't realize cottage was a 2 bedroom and a separate building had additional beds and bath, but that works great, especially if some wants a little more privacy. Both house and cottage were very nice and very clean. This is a great place and a beautiful large lot with plenty of shade. I would not hesitate to book again. Heather was great to work with.

My daughter and I have always enjoyed water activities together, I grew up spending summers at my Father's lake cabin. Seeing how beautiful and peaceful it is, we decided it was something we wanted to be able to share with our friends and other families. Why not open our home up to the VRBO community? It is truly a sight to behold and after such a tumultuous previous years for our economies, this year we figured everyone could use a little serenity in their lives.
