For the adventure seekers, our place can be your personal base-camp for all your mountain, trail or river adventures. There is quick access to charming downtown Buena Vista, the Arkansas River, numerous trailheads for hiking and biking plus an array of local restaurants, breweries, distilleries, coffee shops & boutique shops.
Bedroom breakdown:
+West Bedroom (main level) features a king bed, two windows with mountain views of Mt Princeton and a convenient bathroom just outside in the hallway.
+North Bedroom has a king bed and a Pack'n'Play crib. It is our biggest room and has a large window that looks east towards Midland Hill.
+South Bedroom holds a king bed with Mt. Princeton views while laying in bed!
+East Room (main level) features king bed, abundant soft natural light, large wardrobe and of course - views of Mt Princeton from the bed.

Outstanding communication from the get go. Was extremely courteous in helping add a day to our stay. House is very nice and spacious with a beautifully finished lower level. Lives larger than expected. Would 100% recommend to anyone staying in the Buena Vista area. Super close to Main and downtown area with unmatched views.

Beautiful and comfortable home with mountain views

Everything was lovely. The owners have an eye for detail which made our stay very comfortable. Lots of room both upstairs and downstairs. The communication with the owners was fast and they took care of anything we needed. I would highly recommend this home.

Perfect Family Getaway

We had the most incredible stay at the Mountain Sunflower! Zach and Janlee have created such a thoughtful, welcoming space — it truly felt like a perfect home away from home.This Vrbo truly thought of everything — it was clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated, and full of thoughtful touches. From the sophisticated and beautiful upper level to the “man cave” vibe of the lower level, this house couldn’t have been more perfect for my family. Every space was used. My family kept saying, “This is perfect,” and we meant it.Thank you, Zach and Janlee, for creating such a special place. We’re leaving with full hearts and wonderful memories. 10/10 — would stay again in a heartbeat!

The BEST

This property in BV was absolutely one of the best properties we have ever stayed in! The house was perfect! It had a ton of amenities, a fully stocked kitchen, great space for hanging out, and Zach was the perfect host! Minutes from downtown/Main Street and in a quiet neighborhood and the perfect view of Mt.Princeton. Zach was always quick to respond to any questions we had. My hope to is stay at this property again someday! It was perfect for our family of five!

What a perfect home!

Zach was a wonderful communicator! The house is clean, modern, incredibly well decorated with great touches like a station for charging electronics and full size shampoo:conditioner and soaps in the bathrooms. It was our wedding weekend and we could not have been more pleased with the house!!

Amazing house with everything you need!

This house was amazing. It is one of the best short-term rentals we have experienced. The house is so well set up with pretty much anything you would need for a comfortable stay. Although there is no central AC, they provide ample fans. The rooms are very comfortable. The kitchen is amazing. The host is highly responsive and quick to return messages. The backyard with the fire pit and seating area is great for unwinding after a day out exploring. We will stay here again and highly recommend it!

BV stay

Lovely house with comfortable beds, plenty of room, and very clean. Easy to communicate with owner, quick responses. Our only complaint was it rained quite a bit during our stay and the driveway is not paved. Bottoms of our shoes got muddy and thus tracked into our car every time getting into it. Overall, our stay was great and definitely recommend this property.

Amazing!!

This house is nothing short of amazing! The owners have thought of every little detail to make your stay perfect. Dishes for kids and adults, laundry detergent for sensitive skin, coffee and filters, plush towels, night lights, games, etc.. all of the details were thought of! The house has an amazing view all around and I enjoyed drinking my coffee each morning gazing at the mountains! We had wonderful family time watching movies each night after a day of rafting and exploring the beautiful area in and around Buena Vista. We were sad to leave and will definitely be back!

Perfect home away from home

This house was perfect for our group. It had plenty of space for 4 adult couples. We were sold on king size beds in our own rooms for each couple. No AC isn’t a problem because it gets cool enough night that it keeps it cool during the day. It has everything you need. Plenty of dishes. Coffee maker, pots and pans. Two refrigerators. You wont be disappointed with this one.

Wonderful mountain vacation!

Our niece got married in Buena Vista so we had extened family in the area. My husband and I and our daughter, her husband, our son, his wife and daughter stayed for five days. Everything you need is provided better than any other vrbos we have stayed in. We cooked in the very well equipped kitchen, grilled, sat by the firepit. The mountain views are breathtaking! My husband is oxygen dependent and Zach picked it up and had it waiting for us and delivered it back as we had an early flight. Zach was always available for a quick response to any questions we had. We would definitely stay again and we highly recommend this vrbo. Thank you Zach for your hospitality!

Very well equipped

Throughly enjoyed our time in BV. Great layout for our 3-generation family stay. Upper level perfect for meals and conversation. Kids enjoyed running around the lower level and getting some TV time. We’ve stayed in a bunch of vacation rentals over the years; this property has the best equipped kitchen we’ve ever seen. Everything in the house is new and really functional. Hosts were super responsive and a joy to work with. Highly recommended. As noted by others, the listing says there’s a hot tub. There isn’t, but BV is so close to numerous hot springs that you won’t care. Also note that the neighborhood roads and driveway are dirt/gravel; no issues with either.

Nice place, listing inaccuracte

The property was very nice, clean and comfortable. The kitchen was very well stocked for the meal prep we wanted to do verses eating out for every meal. 50% of the reason I booked it was for the 4 king sized beds, the other 50% I booked was because the listing said it had a spa/whirlpool, which it did not😡. There was a room adjacent to a bedroom that was locked and unaccessable to us, maybe it was in there. Regardless, that was very disappointing as it was looked forward to after a 9 hour drive. Had I known, likely would have booked another property as this was a selling point.

Your whirlpool/spa comment is a first, as we don't list a spa/whirlpool, nor do any of our pictures of the listing show one. Wedding crashers

This was one of the nicest VRBOs that we have been in. The house was very clean , stocked for every need, and the views were unbelievable. Location was perfect for our group. We highly recommend this place to everyone.

Great getaway spot for BV/CO summer vaca

Great Place Great Communication

Really enjoyed this property. It was clean, new and well laid out. The communication with the owner prior to arriving was fantastic and very friendly. The notes on the property and the area left at the house were a nice touch and very helpful. I would highly recommend this property!

Home base in BV

After numerous days on the road in hotels, we welcomed a home base for several days in BV. It was all that we could ask for - minutes from Main Street, spacious for our family, amazing views of Mt. Princeton (with a gas fire pit), and extremely responsive hosts with insider tips to the area. Hope to be back!
