Located in the Adirondack Mountains on 1/4 acre property the 1200 square foot house overlooks Lake Vanare. The large screened in porch provides bug-free dining and viewing of the mountains and Lake. 10 Minutes from Lake George and 25 minutes from Saratoga. Beach area provides boating, fishing, and swimming access. The Lake is no more then 12 feet deep. No motor boats allowed. Commercial cabin and cottages located on lake. There are approximately 10 private residents.

Great family vacation!

We had a lovely vacation! The house was perfect for our needs. We really enjoyed looking at the stars (and a few planets!) from the screened in porch.

Family getaway

Traveled with my family and in-laws. The beach was perfect for the two young kids to simply play and get dirty. Great toys at the beach as well. Kayaks and boat were nice to get out on the water and the dock is a perfect fishing spot. Perfect for a quiet family getaway with plenty in the area for all ages!

Overall very nice! I would recommend bringing towels and paper products. View was gorgeous, kitchen well stocked. Grocery store 10 minutes away. Close to Lake George and activities

I would recommend bringing any supplies necessary to accommodate your stay and the number of guests. The House Manual provides a list of amenities included and NOT included. We hope the use of the clothe washer and dryer would accommodate your needs for the use of any towels.

Exceeded All Expectations

It's not often in life that things exceed your expectations, but this lakehouse did just that. A beautiful home, with an amazing view, and its own beach front. We caught fish, rode the kayaks and row boat provided, and floated on the lake for hours. We even got a full end to end double rainbow over the lake. We didn't even leave the property or lake for seven days. Kids and adults lived it equally. Glenn was nice, and very communicative. The home was in great condition, and very clean. Can't recommend this place enough. We will go back.

Best house on the lake!

Look no further if you want a place in the Adirondacks that is close enough to things to do, but also quiet solitude when you crave that as well. Beautiful home with plenty of space for our big family. The view from the screened in deck was gorgeous. Favorite way to start my mornings was with a cup of coffee and just taking in the peaceful environment and views. The house is on a road with minimal traffic. Driveway was narrow, BUT we were able to park our large SUV with a trailer of our kayaks so it’s doable. The house came with two kayaks, life jackets and even a boat! My boys loved going out fishing together in the boat. Homeowner was wonderful to work with and thorough with expectations. Don’t hesitate to rent here!

Best Property on the lake

We all enjoyed our stay. Kids had a great time on the lake and my husband as well. The property has two kayaks and a boat with oars. If you’re thinking of cooking meals, we went to price chopper in queensbury. We saw a rodeo hosted by the painted ponies. Kids did zip lining and horseback riding. We also did ax throwing in queensbury. Overall great location from the village(8 minutes). The house is very comfortable during the day and at night, we just had one air conditioner on. That did the job of cooling the house off. We used their dishes, stove(electrical) and bbq. No mosquitoes which was fantastic! Hopefully this review helps anyone considering this property.

Very nice house with everything that was needed for our stay. The kids loved the beach area which was great for a 5 and 7 year old. Sand toys were great. Kayak, fire pit and BBQ were plus. highly recommend. also, screened porch was nice for coffee first thing in the AM.

Lake House Heaven

My family and I had a fantastic stay! This property - house, yard, beach area, boats, everything- is kept in excellent condition. The vibe is warm and welcoming. Could not ask for more in terms of comfort, convenience and beautiful surroundings. Don’t look any further- this is the one!

Clean house. Quiet location, close to lake George. House is bigger than it appeared and loved the screened deck. Lake was perfect for kids and teens. Lots of local activities nearby too.

End of summer escape

We had a lovely time at this rental. We enjoyed the porch for our morning coffee while we planned our days activities. The only suggestion I would offer is that you should bring your own towels and extra kitchen towels. The grounds were beautiful as well as the Lake George area. We were able to do as much or as little as we wished.

Wonderful property, great location

We had a wonderful stay on Lake Vanare! The property is beautifully landscaped and well maintained. There was plenty of room for our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids). Our favorite feature was the screened in porch overlooking the lake. It was a great spot to watch the moon rise over the mountain in the evening. The sandy beach was perfect for swimming. Lake Vanare is small and doesn’t have any motorized boats, so my younger kids could safely swim and paddle around the lake without any worry about big boats and their wake. The house is an easy drive to I87 and Lake George. There are also lots of fun things to do in Lake Luzerne (tubing, rafting, and horseback riding). Really can’t say enough great things about this place! I hope we can return next year!

Was a wonderful Vacation

We had a wonderful time. The house was very clean and comfortable for all 5 of us and very well cared for. The view was great and the screen porch was awesome. The private beach and access to the Kayaks was also a huge plus. The row boat was nice too, but needed new oars. The location was perfect as it was very quiet and peaceful but within a short drive to other attractions. The yard and gardens were beautifully cared for. All in all it is a beautiful home and location that we would highly recommend.

One of the best views...

We thoroughly enjoyed our summer stay at this house. We have rented several VRBO homes in the past and this was our favorite so far. The view of the lake cannot be beat. The house is clean, quiet, and comfortable. Property owners are easy to contact and helpful. Location is prime if you want to visit Lake George. Myself, my husband and my kids had a fun stay at this house and cannot wait time return next summer.

Perfect Fall Getaway

The house and location were perfect for a fall getaway. The house had gorgeous views of the lake and fall foliage. The lake was very quiet since it was off season. We particularly enjoyed the kayaks and the fire pit. The house was great for our family of four (two older children) to spread out in. The kitchen was well equipped and spotless. The beds were comfortable. We had a couple of cold days and the heat was fine. There was plenty to do nearby. We were only 15 minutes from Lake George. We did a couple of nice hikes (Mount Prospect and Hadley Mountain) . We went to Fort Ticonderoga (an hour and 10 minutes) which we enjoyed. We also rented bikes and biked the Warren County bike trail. We were completely happy with our vacation and would love to return.

Special space for a range of plans

This home and its property are beautiful, well cared for and comfortable. The owners were on top of things, responsive and able to help us settle in when we had questions. This is a space for a family in summer to hang out and play, as well as for a retreat for a couple that want space and to be together. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!

Wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely, clean, well maintained property. The owners gave us great instructions and were very communicative. The beautiful, quiet setting was just what we were looking for to enjoy some family time. I would highly recommend this property as a great place to stay.

Great stay at private property

We had a great time at this house. It was private, clean beach with a good access. kayaks to use and row boat. We did bring our own kayaks too, but it was nice to have ones there also to use. Kitchen was well stocked and the bathrooms as well. We really enjoyed our stay and would do it again. The property owners were very nice and made contact with us when they needed to and were easy to contact if needed. Thank you for letting us use your vacation home.
