PERFECT HILL COUNTRY GETAWAY!

We absolutely loved our stay at Sunny Oaks Retreat! The outdoor space was nothing short of magnificent — from the comfortable seating areas to the relaxing hot tub, it was the perfect spot for morning coffee or late-night conversation. The house itself was spacious and beautifully designed, giving each of us our own private area while still feeling cozy and connected. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for cooking and gathering, and the arrival instructions were precise and easy to follow. One of the biggest perks was having no checkout chores! Of course, we did the respectful things like taking out the trash and placing towels in the laundry room, but it was such a treat to simply pack up and go without a long list of tasks. There were eight of us in total, and both the indoor and outdoor spaces were absolutely perfect for our group. We couldn't have asked for a better place to relax, reconnect, and enjoy Fredericksburg. Highly recommend Sunny Oaks Retreat — we can't wait to come back!

Well-appointed house with perks!

Fantastic house for a large group. Plenty of space for 8 - w/o sharing beds or anyone being on the couch. Kitchen was a great layout and had everything we needed to prepare several meals. All seating areas were perfect for a large group to all be together. Outdoor living/kitchen area was our favorite for coffee in the morning. The pool was a total plus for us. And the hummingbirds were a lovely addition to our time outside.

Best Place Ever!

We have a group of women (10 of us) all related except two who are best friends that have been getting together for 15 years. We’ve all decided this has been our favorite place! It’s exactly as shown, only better. You won’t be sorry.

Family trio to Wine Country

We had a fantastic stay. The house was roomy, clean and just perfect for a family vaction. The outdoor area was wonderful as well as we enjoyed the fireplace and hot tub on the cool nights. Looking forward to our next trip back

Beautiful hill country home

We loved our stay at Sunny Oaks! We had a girls weekend celebrating our daughter's sweet 16! The home was beautiful, clean, well stocked, and very spacious. Sunny Oaks was also conventionally located to entertainment. We enjoyed hiking at Enchanted Rock, and shopping on Main Street. We also really enjoyed having privacy while using the hot tub and back yard amenities. We are already taking about going back!

Great Stay

The accommodations were fantastic and the setting spectacular. Our arrival was slightly delayed by Hurricane Beryl in Houston, so anyplace with electricity and air conditioning would have been great. But Sunny Oaks went well beyond our expectations. The grandkids really enjoyed the pool and the space to run. I enjoyed the great sound system and views from the patio and outdoor living area. A very relaxing experience.

Return visit

Wonderful place to gather with family! The house is spacious with a great kitchen and the backyard area is wonderful, with a pool and outdoor covered areas to sit and entertain. The bedrooms and bathrooms are very nice. This was our second time here and we hope to return!

We loved our stay!

This place was amazing! There were 10 of us who stayed at Sunny Oaks for our annual girls weekend - everyone agreed it was the most amazing place we had ever stayed at and we are already booking it again for our next trip. The house was impeccable and it was a bonus that we never lacked for anything - there were plenty of dishes, towels, beds, seating, etc. We especially loved the spaciousness of this house and made good use of the outdoor space, as well. There is nothing lacking here; the host created the perfect space for relaxation and we highly recommend it for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

Amazing Home

We spent three nights here. 4 couples. Everyone had an amazing time. We have been to the area many times and were okay with being a little farther from town this time. We loved the proximity to Luckenbach. We loved all of the amenities here….hot tub, out door living space and fireplace, ping pong, large kitchen, etc. The only drawback was too many twin bedrooms. We would all enjoy coming back or returning with family for a holiday weekend.

Nice Place

This is a very nice home and property for family gatherings. We had a few glitches but overall a great home. Hot tub was out and the weather was perfect for it, dang. On Saturday there was a land sale event on the adjacent property and the almost constant traffic on the drive adjacent to the fence line created a dust storm that pounded the back patio, pool and building. It was not possible to use the back area while this was happening so we decided to go into Fredericksburg during most of the day. The traffic and dust storm had settled down some by evening but, enjoying the back area that evening was difficult. We cleaned the dust the best we could with what was available basically a water hose, broom and towel. The pool water was too dirty to think about using. I left the towel we used to clean draped over the fireplace end wall to verify that I am not exaggerating this, bear in mind that I rinsed it after we cleaned and it is still filthy. Sorry to dirty your towel so badly but there was not much available to use. An electric or gas blower would have been very handy for the job, just a suggestion. The only other problem was we could not figure out how to get Dish on the main TV in the Den to watch college football but used the TV in the Study.

Excellent Fredericksburg Experience

Sunny Oaks was the PERFECT home base for our family while in the Fredericksburg area. The layout of the home provided everyone with their own space while also providing ample room for conversations and meals in the living/dining/kitchen space. The pool, outdoor kitchen/TV space and game area in the garage were great for football game watching, competitive ping pong competitions, and late-night visits under the stars. I've stayed in many vacation rentals across the country and Sunny Oaks was THE BEST equipped home I've encountered. Every detail was thought out. I would highly recommend this home for anyone staying in the Hill Country. We will be back!
