The description for the beds/sleep number was inaccurate. The description and picture showed a twin bed in the den (as well as a pull out couch) however there was no twin bed in that room. The linens in the bottom trundle bed were not laundered, smelled of urine, and had visible stains. No true window coverings, just sheer/see through curtains or no coverings. On the positive side, plenty of parking, plenty of space for all ages to enjoy. Well stocked with creature comforts. Easy check out process.

Fabulous Stay!

Wow, this house is terrific! Perfect for celebrating a 40th birthday weekend. We had a group of 5 couples and the house could not have worked better for us. The pool and backyard are a dream! The kitchen is perfect for gathering. We had a chef come in one night and he was impressed. The main living area is spacious and worked well for hanging out. The host was very responsive and check in/out were so easy! My only recs (and I’m grasping at straws a bit): the beds are quite firm so know that going in, and for a large group (there were 10 of us), I did bring my own wine glasses because I wanted to ensure we had the right drink ware for the birthday dinner. We would 100% stay here again.

This rental property is described perfectly in your listing. It was immaculate and the swimming pool was definitely taken advantage of. Thank you for such a wonderful weekend! Great pool getaway

We booked this trip before the pandemic hit and so had to modify guest count - the property manager was very helpful throughout. It turned out to be a great escape - the house was clean, check in was effortless, and the family loved the pool. Can't wait to return in the future.

Relaxing by the pool

Sunshine Haus was a lovely spot (with lots of space!) to relax and enjoy the beautiful pool. The house and kitchen are very well equipped which made it easy to cook versus going out to eat. The layout works well for multi-generation families as there are multiple living spaces and room for everyone to spread out. Definitely recommend!

Susnshine Haus is great!

The house is just as it is pictured. It was easy to find. The long driveway was the best. No parking problems like we have had at some VRBO houses. Perfect location to everything in Fredericksburg. The house was big enough for everyone to have their own space, Dining room, kitchen and laundry room were spacious. The backyard and the pool were icing on the cake! We did not want to leave. Will go back and recommend this house to friends.

Perfect Place

Perfect place for a couples weekend! 5 bedrooms and 3 baths... couple that came up late stayed on daybed in second living room. We loved the pool and hot tub! Definitely want to come back again with the kids and explore Enchanted Rock and nature.

Family Wine-Tasting Weekend

Our family (parents, adult kids and spouses and grandparents) had a fabulous time at Sunshine Haus! The check-in process was simple and the house was extremely clean and well- maintained. We loved spending time outside shooting hoops, enjoying the hot tub (too cold for the pool) and playing corn-hole (brought our own set). We will definitely plan on staying at Sunshine Haus again!

Weekend Wedding/Family Fun!

This weekend has by far been one of the best little get-always we’ve had in a long time! Not only was it perfect because we were able to be with family, this house was the icing on the cake! The character in this house is never-ending and so is the feeling of “being home”! The kids had plenty of room to play and be kids while the adults had plenty of room to enjoy nice conversations and a couple of card games. The house was either filled with laughter or silence from the peace everyone felt while being all together and “home”. The pool and hot tub being amazing is an understatement! To top it all off, we needed a small extension to the check out time and the GM was gracious to allow it with ease. We would definitely recommend this house! Our entire experience has been great!

It was very convenient for our meeting

It was a very easy process to rent the property check in check out The house was very very nice the only recommendations I would have for them ,it’s a big house for big parties having bigger pots and pans to cook for a large group we where only 6 luckily we took our own just in case ,we enjoyed Not having to leave the property we work through our lunches and dinner and it has a very nice backyard with a pool that we did not get to enjoy due to weather but we would definitely go back

You will love this property all year round. This property boasts the largest swimming pool in the city grid. Sunshine Haus also has two fireplaces and a hot tub for cool nights. Finally, it is the largest privately owned property within the grid. Come stay and play in this large private estate.

Also of interest, this home was built by the first modern doctor in Fredericksburg in the 1940s. He and his wife got in a fight during the building of the house, because he wanted a bowling alley. With this, the house has a full basement the length of the house that once was a bowling alley. How cool is this?

We renovated this house with entertainment in mind, both inside and out. We annually host a summer party that draws 100+ people in our backyard and we have hosted other special events. The property is great for girl’s weekends, boy’s weekends, family reunions, large parties and more. Our goal is for you to enjoy Fredericksburg and to have a wonderful experience at Sunshine Haus.
