Excellent home in an amazing location. The property was immaculate and every convenience has been thought of. There are no corners cut in this property. We enjoyed the home and the amenities and still felt like we had the privacy of the mountains with the convenience of the downtown within minutes.

Cool little town, very convenient to Asheville and the Biltmore Estate. Chris went over and above to welcome us. He provided us so much information on the area including some very nice discounts to local attractions.This sounds trivial, but have you ever arrived at a rental and there are 3 coffee mugs. There were over a dozen really large mugs. Only ran the dishwasher once in 4 days. Many other little nice touches throughout the house.

We loved our stay. All of the little details are so thoughtful - down to even labeling what light switches control which lights and ensuring there is plenty of coffee and kitchen supplies. And of course the showers are amazing. Thank you for another great visit!

This property is amazing and couldn’t be in a better location! It’s tucked away from the hustle and bustle, but walking distance to downtown restaurants and shopping. John’s communication from booking from check-out was excellent. He and his team anticipate guest questions and have answers before they’re asked. The home is immaculate and although it’s a duplex style house, we felt like our space, even the outside space, was private and we never felt like we were sharing walls with the other property.

We loved our stay at Chris' place. The house was super clean and very organized with everything labeled nicely. The location is fabulous. Within walking distance of most anything you could want. We will definitely come back!

Good Location

Chris, the location of your condo was great. Loved being able to walk down the street to Fresh Woodfired Grill and Lookout Brewery. Our only complaint was lack of comfortable seating in the living room. Wish there had been another chair or two to sit in other than the low sectional sofa. Thanks!

Girls getaway

I typically don’t do reviews, but this property was so fantastic that it needs to be mentioned. From the time that we booked, the communication was so perfect that we didn’t need to do any research prior to our trip to come up with ideas of what to do. The property is amazing and will not disappoint. It is close to everything so you can walk to restaurants and stores around town. We will definitely be booking again.

The perfect stay

Chris’s place was beautiful, and he included so many thoughtful amenities. My parents and I spent a weekend here, and we agreed that we would love to return. The location is perfect- you can walk easily to many restaurants, bars, and hear live music down the street. It feels very private, and the sauna showers with Bluetooth are so relaxing. We instantly felt as though we were on vacation as soon as we walked through the door. I can’t recommend this property enough.

Excellent Experience

We had the most wonderful stay! The house is charming, incredibly clean, every detail was thought out, comfortable beds, soft linens, beautiful, modern farmhouse decor, each window and balcony had a view, location could not have been better to walk into Black Mountain. A very short drive into Asheville. Host was quick to respond. Check in and check out process absolutely seamless. Hands-down one of the cleanest VRBO‘s I have ever stayed in! I would stay here again 100% and that was the consensus of all three couples who spent the weekend in the house. The only thing I would add is that the third floor loft room does have a door however, there is an open balcony portion, so it is not 100% private but that would be my only comment/thing to make renters aware of. It met and even exceeded our expectations!

Great Spot!

We had a wonderful stay. The pictures are 100% accurate. Lots of nice touches we haven’t seen at other properties. For example, We didn’t cook, but if we’d wanted to, there were plenty of spices. Nice coffee selection. It didn’t feel like they were trying to “nickel and dime” us. I really don’t like it when you check in and there’s nothing there for you to use. You need to go to the store if anyone needs to use the restroom. This home felt like it would if you were staying with friends. Love all of the laminated sheets with directions to local spots. And instructions on how to use all of the amenities like the hot tub, sauna, etc. It feels like a lot of thought went into setting everything up. We’ll absolutely be back. Thank you!

We had the most incredible stay at this mountain home—it truly had everything you could think of. The attention to detail was exceptional, and it made the entire experience feel effortless and special.The hosts, Chris and Jason, were extremely responsive and thoughtful, which added to the ease of our stay. The location couldn’t have been better—right in the heart of Black Mountain, with easy walking access to everything. Such a charming and welcoming town.My husband, our two teenagers, and I had a wonderful time reconnecting and simply enjoying each other’s company in such a beautiful space. It was exactly what we needed.I’m already planning to come back with friends for a girls’ weekend. Highly recommend—don’t hesitate to rent this home!

Perfect for families!

Easy check-in process. Communication was a breeze! Super clean! So many amenities not typically found in a rental. We enjoyed the hot tub every evening, the dry sauna, fireplace. Easy walk into town! Also enjoyed the brewery and pizza on our street! We will definitely be back!

We had an amazing time in this well-appointed, spotlessly clean Black Mountain home. The town is charming, filled with lovely, friendly people and great food and drink. Our host, Chris, was one of these lovely people. Enjoyed every minute. We will be back!

Beautiful place, super clean and well equipped! So close to a great wood fired pizza place (Fresh) and Lookout Brewing Company . This house has many outside private places to hang out. Do not hesitate to stay here-we will be coming again! Black Mountain is a respite from the congestion in Asheville yet only 20 minutes away!

★ 2 block walk to the center of Intown Black Mountain (shops, boutiques, restaurants, museums, galleries, and breweries)
★ Across the street from popular day spa “Black Mountain Massage & Wellness”
★ 10 minutes to Lookout Trailhead and pristine Pisgah National Forest trails
★ 10 minutes to Kitizuma trailhead, one of the Southeast’s premiere mountain biking single track trails.
★ 20 minutes to White Water Rafting & Kayaking
★ 20 minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway
★ 1.5 hour to Mount Mitchel, the highest mountain range this side of the Missisippi.
★ 50 minutes to Wolf Laurel Ski Resort.
★ 20 minutes to DT Asheville/the Biltmore Estate (14.6 miles).

From the outdoor hot tub deck you can see portions of the Blue Ridge Parkway, which will take you to MT Mitchell, (at 6,684' it's the highest and most visited peak on the east coast) in roughly a 1.5 hour trip…one of the most breath-taking and unforgettable drives on the eastern seaboard.

PETS:

1. FOR NON-PET GUESTS concerned about possible past evidence of pets or hypoallergenic questions:

Our cleaning crew is second to none and is one of the reasons we maintain a 5 star rating. We have meticulously high cleaning standards, so pet hair, dander, or pet odor, is not an option here. But, for those with pet allergies, this is not one of our hypoallergenic listings.

2. FOR PET GUESTS...We’re a dogs only listing with a 1 dog, 80 lb limit for the $75 pet fee.

If Fido is crate trained (and does not bark while crated), it is fine to leave the pet crated and unattended. But at no time is the pet to be left unattended if it is not crated. So please don’t risk leaving the pet alone if he’s not trained to refrain from barking. This is a townhome, so unfortunately, if a neighbor calls and complains that the pet next door is barking uninterrupted, then the pet will have to be kenneled. We enforce this. Thank you for your consideration.

If Fido is an escape artist or a barker, this is not the best listing for your pet.
