Savannah House "B" 2 Bedroom 2 1/2 Bath on the Beach!

This town home has all new stainless steel appliances and granite kitchen counters. The kitchen is perfectly equipped with everything that you should ever need. Free WiFi, Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc.
All linens are provided, including your beach towels and comfortable beach chairs. The master bedroom is large with it's own Gulf of Mexico viewing deck. We know that this home is truly a place to remember, generation after generation. Start your adventure with a three minute ride on the car ferry - - it will change your whole attitude!! Come and learn what island life really is!
Our house is literally "right on the beach" - closer to the water than any other house on Don Pedro. The island has an abundance of wildlife and natural beauty. There are a number of indigenous gopher tortoises, otters, bobcats, bald eagles and rabbits. There is a variety of birds including osprey, pelicans, great blue herons, frigate birds, sea gulls and owls. The beaches are well known for their abundance of sharks' teeth and shells. Also, watch for the India manatees, dolphins, giant manta rays, and blue crabs that swim right off the coast. Don Pedro Island State Park is located on the south end of the island and is accessible by walking the beach. It's the perfect place for a family vacation and I hope you will consider Savannah "B" or "C" for your vacation. Our goal is guest satisfaction and comfort. Come and bring your friends!

Jeanie was an excellent host. The house was amazing and right on the beach. My daughter was able to find a ton of shark teeth and sand dollars. Would recommend if you don’t like the hustle and bustle and just want to relax and enjoy!

What a great place

It was a great place to sit back and enjoy the scenery. Had a great time. Folks should be aware that the only way on/off the island is via ferry which has its pros/cons. Would definitely consider staying again.

Beautiful, quiet vacation!

We loved being on the island away from all the traffic! The place was beautiful and clean, and could not have been a better location and so close to the water! We found dozens and dozens of sharks, teeth and plenty of pretty shells. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful Property

This was the second time we have visited Palm Island and our first time at this property. Gorgeous views and steps away from the ocean. We had a few issues but they did their best to address them as they came up so I can't complain. Would stay again!

Amazing property and hosts

The perfect beach getaway. 21 steps from the beach to be exact. It was perfect for us as we had a newborn baby girl and wanted to let her be inside but we could check in on her every couple minutes without a huge hassle. Owner provides all the essentials and when there was an issue with the AC they responded promptly to get it fixed. We will absolutely be staying again and look forward to it!

High School Girlfriends Reunion

Three friends from high school days reunited at Savannah B fifty years later. Wonderful place on beautiful, people-free beach. Couldn’t have been a better, more relaxing time. Dolphins, pelicans, shells and shark teeth!

Best All Around Condo

Wow! Even better than anticipated! It was clean, well stocked in kitchen, bathrooms, etc., we did not want for anything. Just an absolutely beautiful condo and views. We loved the access directly to the beach from the porch and being right on the beach. You will wake to the sound of the waves every morning. All family members agreed that this condo is our favorite yet. The best! Only regret was that we didn’t stay longer!

I can’t explain how great this place is. Total relaxation. The place is absolutely gorgeous. Jeanie was easy to work with and if you have questions you will get a quick response. It is a total beach house and when you walk in and see that beautiful ocean the house just pops. Already making plans for next year. This was the best vacation I’ve had and staying here was what it it over the top

Summer in the sun

This was an amazing family summer trip. The house is truly right on the beach. Waking up to a beach side walk every day then reflecting with morning coffee, there’s nothing quite like it. We had gorgeous sunsets, dolphin , sea turtles, and manatees encounters. We brought our kayaks and explored the island by water side and by golf cart. The house was exactly as stated and we just unloaded the groceries we brought and felt right at home. The only complaint I would have would be that the a/c unit struggled in the Florida heat, however being a Florida resident we understand how this can be. Love this place in the sun a will definitely return

Right after you left our less than two year old air conditioner sprung a leak. It was repaired right away and should be in good working order now. We will look forward to your return to Savannah House.

Paradise

The condo and location are perfect. The view is spectacular. The furnishings cute and comfortable. We enjoyed waking up each morning to the view of the ocean in the extremely comfortable bed. Breakfast and morning devotions on the screened in porch with the sound of the waves, perfect. Most times we were the only ones on the beach so we felt like we had our own private beach! Sunsets were AMAZING!!! The only complaint would be the ice maker did not work and we had to buy an additional bag of ice (one was provided) but the cost of the 4 dollar Island ice was nothing compared to the week in paradise, and we were told the part is in order so that will be fixed. We loved our stay at Savannah House B and on Palm Island. We will definitely be back.

5 Nights in Paradise

My family stayed at Savannah House for 5 relaxing, beautiful nights! We bought groceries for the week and cooked or grilled out and enjoyed eating on the screened in, beachfront patio. We especially enjoyed eating dinner while watching the spectacular sunsets! We swam a lot, took some long walks finding big, whole seashells and sand dollars. We saw herons, dolphins, crabs and tons of fish. Most times it felt like we had the entire beach to ourselves. So private, pristine and quiet. We loved the vibe of this beach and island! Savannah House itself is beautiful, spacious and comfortable. It was cleanand had everything we needed to enjoy the week. We were also lucky enough to be visiting at the same time as Jeanie, the owner. She was lovely company and took us for ice cream, which was the highlight of the 5 days for my daughter's. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Wonderful location

Everything was exactly as described, and our 5 nights at Savannah B were wonderful! Jeanie and John were so nice to check in with us to ensure all was good. The location was perfection, the unit was very clean, & the primary bed was very comfortable. Though not the owners' fault, I did have a couple of issues with the responsiveness of the property manager. We had rented a golf cart & kayaks through her, and twice had reason to have to reach out. I left voice mails, and both calls weren't returned until the following days. However, the guys working the gate at the resort ended up helping us out, so all ended well. I did purchase an additional ferry pass, which allowed us to venture across for dinner somewhere other than Rum Bay (which has a very good menu), and to pick up a few extra groceries, etc. We would definitely come back to rent from Jeanie and John at Savannah House!

Thank you for loving Savannah House as much as we do! I'm sorry you had trouble with your golf cart rental, but I can only share with you the few people that rent golf carts on the island. It is the reason we aren't in the business of renting carts! We will welcome you back anytime!!

Great visit except...

Overall we had a great visit, the property itself did not disappoint, PI was beautiful as always. The one complaint we have is the management of the property...a bit overbearing. We like to rent through VRBO to not have the typical hotel like experience of being checked in on etc, I understand the manager probably meant well but we felt a bit annoyed as having to interact with the manager several times during our stay, we like places that are a bit more low key so might stay at our original VRBO next time. Checkout time was not coordinated with management and cleaning company which resulted in being hassled for the last hour of our stay while we were trying to pack up and actually leave early according to the checkout time listed on our VRBO confirmation. While management was the under the impression of an earlier checkout time, we had an angry cleaning lady waiting for us outside in her golf cart stating that the check out has "always" been this time. I recommend making sure the times match on alllllll information articles before confirming as this created un-needed disruption for our exit. Likely will be staying somewhere else next time.

So beautiful!

We were so happy that we chose Savannah House. Beautiful views and our proximity to the water, steps away, was just wonderful. Hurricane Ian cut our time short as we needed to get home to prepare, but I loved every moment we spent here.

Month of Relaxing, Beach Combing, and Beautiful Weather

We enjoyed our stay at Savannah House B. The weather was beautiful and the walks on the beach were wonderful. Found so many different seashells. We would recommend this house for anyone planning a vacation on the beach.

Most relaxing vacation…ever.

Savannah House was exactly what we needed, at the perfect time. We did not realize places like this still existed: a complete respite from the world. We plan to come back, as often as possible. Jeanie and John were lovely hosts and neighbors, and were generously helpful when we needed something we forgot to bring. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

John and Jeanie live in Houston, Texas and John retired from the oil industry in 2016. We bought Savannah "C" in 2016 and just couldn't get enough of the island life, We bought Savannah "B" when it came up for sale in 2018.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

We were looking for a beach getaway and it took a year before we found the perfect place. The search began at the Mississippi river heading east all the time. We didn't want crowded beaches with high-rise apartment buildings all around - we wanted something that was really special. We found it on Don Pedro Island/Palm Island. Get on the car ferry and take the 5 minute crossing of the Intercoastal Waterway and you will know your life has changed. Relax and enjoy the island life. Everyone that comes here just keeps coming back to our unspoiled, uncrowded beaches.
