For those planning to stay in for most/all meals, the fully equipped kitchen with ample appliances has everything to cater for your social holiday cooking. Or you can nip down the road to Footprints Resort on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays for a drink and a bite to eat.

The kitchen adjoins the dining and family room which has soaring raked ceilings and raked highlight windows which open to two fabulous outdoor sundecks with captivating views, timber decking, shade, and a BBQ which is a perfect place to relax. Even on chilly nights, the balcony decks are just as cozy as the indoors, with cool solar lights which set the mood in the evenings, with comfy furniture and blankets.

This stylish home has modern, luxury designer finishes with brand new furnishings and appliances inspired by a beach lifestyle. Beautifully decorated, it’s the perfect place to stay for couples, singles, families or corporates.

The beds are very comfortable (linen and towels are provided) and the house is well equipped with excellent bath and kitchen products. Very spacious rooms for up to 8 guests in a fabulous beachside location.

A well behaved pet is welcome by request at the time of booking for an extra $50 pet fee and adherence to House Rules.

Outside of the home you’ll find several walking trails within steps of the property, viewing platforms, boardwalks, great fishing and Preston Beach is one of the few places where there is 4WD access right along the beach.

Fish, swim and explore the crystal clear waters and pristine coastline. Preston Beach has a children’s playground with a lawn area, free electric shaded barbeque and picnic facilities and public toilets.

It's halfway between bustling Mandurah and Bunbury (45 minutes drive so close enough for day trips) and is a quiet sanctuary for our holidaymakers. Preston Beach is a well kept hidden gem, famous for it’s scenic beauty, the Yalgorup National Park and the surrounding lake which attracts a wide variety of native animals.

FISHING FISHING FISHING, Preston Beach is a great place to throw in a line to catch Bass, Whiting, Plaice, Sole, Flounder, Gurnards, Dog fish, and Pout. Whiting of several different types are in the beach breaks and a berley trail will usually bring in some herring, garfish and other smaller species. Tailor, salmon (in season) and Mulloway are also very common. Preston is famous for its big Shovelnose.

You can pop into Preston Beach General Store for everyday essentials however for supplies during your stay, we would recommend guests STOP AT A SUPERMARKET BEFORE YOU ARRIVE, and come prepared with the majority of your essentials for your whole stay (such as food, wine/beer, soft drinks and toiletries).

Preston Beach General Store – is a 500 meter walk (or a 2 minute drive). It is open 7 days a week until 7pm and serves a great range of food from Fish and Chips to the biggest burgers in the South West. They also have Petrol and Diesel at competitive prices, not to forget tackle, bait, ice and liquor.

CLOSE BY FOOD & BEVERAGE VENUES:

Footprints Preston Beach is also open to the public on Fridays from 4.00pm – 9.00pm (for Happy Hour and dinners), Saturdays from 8.00am – 9.00pm for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and on Sunday’s from 8.00am – 3.00pm for breakfasts and lunch. Pool side and take away menus are also available.

Preston Beach Golf Club is a 9 hole golf course which leads you around the town and the vast salt lakes, you are almost certainly guaranteed to be greeted by grazing kangaroos. During the year the golf club will host fetes, picnics on the green, movie nights and community days with ambrose golf, live music, market stalls, has a licenced bar and serves food. Old Coast Road Brewery is a 22 minute drive. Operates Thursday 11am – 3pm. Friday – Sundays 11am – 5pm. Kitchen closed from 3pm. Traditional brewed beers and ciders brewed on site, and delicious food. Perfect place for a relaxed afternoon, located on a 60 acre rural property, indoor and outdoor dining, children’s playground.

Thorny Devil Brewery is a 24 minute drive. Sample their Kakadu Plum sour or Choc-Maple imperial stout. Open Thursday to Sunday 10.30am - 3.00pm.

Vineyard 28 is 32 minute drive. The cellar door operates Thursday to Monday 10am – 5pm. Bookings are essential (walk ins are okay if they have capacity). Offering guided tasting experiences with optional food pairing, and Wine and Grazing experiences. Tel 9733 5605.

The Crooked Carrot is a 21 minute drive. A beautiful café set of 325 acres of farmland. Serving gourmet pies and sausage rolls, hearty hot meals, coffees and bakery items. Burgers, rolls, salads, breakfasts and lunches.

CLOSE BY TOURIST PLACES TO VISIT:

Yalgorup National Park surrounds Preston Beach. This national park features a series of lakes. Don’t miss birdwatching at Lake Pollard and the fascinating thrombolites at Lake Clifton.

Thrombolites, resembling rocks, are the some of the oldest living organisms on Earth, approximately 2,000 years old and the largest in the southern hemisphere. There is a wooden walkway to the water where you can see the thrombolites.

Lake Preston. The property is situated alongside Yalgorup National Park. There is a 2km return trail which you can walk to which takes you around the edge of Lake Preston to a viewing platform at the waters edge. Part of the trail borders one of the golf course fairways so you may see some kangaroos.

Lake Clifton is one of the best spots near Mandurah to take advantage of the clear night skies. Later in the season (around spring) when the core of the Milky Way is closer to the western horizon, Lake Clifton is a really great spot to try and capture it.
