As a rural property, encounters with local wildlife are part of the charm. You may hear birdsong, spot neighbouring horses (please admire but don’t feed them), or notice the occasional bug or mouse trap—these are precautionary and part of country living. While the home is thoroughly cleaned before each stay, midgies, mosquitoes, flies, and Japanese millipedes may make an appearance.

Our community treasures the peaceful atmosphere. To maintain this, please observe the outdoor sound curfew of 10pm. If your plans involve more than a quiet getaway for up to 10 guests, please contact us before booking to ensure your event aligns with local expectations.

Amazing weekend away

The property surpassed all expectations and the online photos do not do it justice. We had a girls weekend away and it was the perfect house. Great facilities, very clean and tidy, and the owner was lovely and very easy to communicate with. We would definitely love to stay again in the future for any large group getaways. Thank you!!

Great Family Holiday

We had a very enjoyable Easter Break. The layout of the house suited our 3 generation family group with a room with ensuite for 2 at one end of the house and 4 bedrooms at the other. A country retreat with all necessities available within a short driving distance. We could get meals at a Brewery- 10 min walk- although the house kitchen is fully equipped. Mim was an excellent host - easily contactable if needed.

Perfect backyard wedding

We had our wedding here, it was a dream. Beautiful home, master suite was luxurious, yard had Beautiful grass and was the perfect venue for a backyard wedding. Loved it.

We thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to invite family and friends to celebrate two milestone birthdays at a beautiful property offering great ammenities including a pool overlooking scenic nature. Mim the host was accomodating and very easy to communicate with. Will most definitely stay again!

Great!

We enjoyed our stay, lovely home with high ceilings and sense of openness in the backyard. Kitchen was spacious and well equipped. The property is only a 2 minute drive from the Thrombolites and Thorny Devil brewery which were great to check out. Very relaxing stay. Thank you again.

Relax in quiet surroundings

We enjoyed a 3 night stay at this property, which was well equipped and nice and clean. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool while we relaxed on the large deck area. The surrounding bush was very peaceful. Mim was very accomodating and great to communicate with. I would recommend staying at the property if you’re after a relaxing stay.

WOW - Breathtaking Property 😍

We recently stayed at this incredible property and we were allowed to host our wedding here. The property is beautifully setup, the pool looks absolutely stunning lit up at night. The house is well equipped with everything you would need for your stay away from home. The beds are incredibly comfortable. Mim was so accommodating and was always available to answer any questions I had. Thank-you Mim & family for allowing us to use your home for our magical day. Will definitely stay again! ❤️‍🔥

Very well equipped.

The house is a little worn with age, but by no means does it diminish the stunning design. Great place for a function or two, especially outside. Kitchen was by far the best equipped I've ever seen, in fact, so much of what we brought with us was redundant. An inventory would have helped save us car space. Comments for clarity: - You'll struggle getting more than 20 people for a sit down dinner indoors. Outdoors no issues. - Outdoors had a lot of bugs after dark (Sept), think They were breeding in a nearby stagnant pool of water. Otherwise, everything was exactly as described/pictured, we got what we wanted and enjoyed the stay thoroughly.

Not worth the full price - temper expectations

This was, at one point, a gorgeous property. However lack of maintenance has left it faded, and really impacts on the overall stay. We also had issues with cleanliness which were rectified, although with a lot of inconvenience for which we were inadequately compensated. But even without that, the property does not live up to the glamourous images and description. Lots of broken features, irritating problems (for example, no working vacuum, broken shelving in the fridge, literal unsafe holes in the decking), and just a general sense of very much being someone's personal home where you would happily accept these issues, rather than a high end/price accommodation. It is also NOT dog friendly as it is not properly fenced but dogs aren't allowed inside. There's a lot of features that aren't really child friendly either, including a dangerous wall in the garden which injured one of our young children, a poorly designed infinity pool that risks kids and toys floating over a 1.5m drop and inadequate cooling in the bedrooms. Also bugs are rampant due to neighbours having horses, making the outdoor area almost unusable at night. Location is amazing, and for a lower price this would be worth it, but at the price charged, I would expect premium accommodation and that is not what is provided.

A wonderful house in a great location

The house was beautiful with a nice large outdoor area. Surrounded by large trees and lots of birdlife. This was a great escape and the perfect place to stay to explore the local area.

Below are the house rules:

DO NOT play the piano. Do not sit on the piano stool when wet, or have any form of food or beverage around the piano. Do not sit anything on top of it at any time.

Outdoor sound levels must be down by 10pm, and speakers to be faced toward the house where possible out of respect for the neighbours.

Use of property is at own risk. It is a rural block and therefore has inevitable dangers of snakes, falling branches, rabbit holes etc. Be careful and sensible.

Use of pool is at own risk. Do not stand on infinity edge of pool as it can be slippery. Do not bring glass into pool area (use plastic wine glasses provided).

Pit fires are only allowed during fire season (winter months). Do not use cushioned deck chairs around any fire, instead use stools and/or camping chairs.
