Geriatric girls trip

I had organised a geriatric girl’s road trip for my sister and a group of knitters/crafters, Racecourse Villa being the Christchurch leg. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. There was plenty of space for all 9 of us in this lovely property, clean and tidy, everything we needed. Would recommend to anyone.

Did the trick....

An older home with charm. Lots of room to spread out. Stairs made it difficult for older folks but bedroom on the ground floor fixed that. Only negative was the road noise at night - a very busy street with truck activity was loud.

Golf Trip

5 of us were there to play in the NZ Seniors Golf tournament. We chose the house because we needed 5 bedrooms handy to golf course and relatively central in Christchurch. Worked out fine for all..

Relaxing and cosy

We all enjoyed the stay at this gorgeous property. Everyone was loving the fire. All the kitchen was well stocked with plenty of utensils cups etc. The beds and linen beautiful comfortable and clean. We would all definitely recommend.

A great base for a large group

A great base for a large group. We stayed here with a mixed-age group for a family wedding and it was awesome. Comfy beds, plenty of bathrooms and living space, well-equipped kitchen and reasonably kid-friendly.

Great for a group of friends

We have stayed there nights in that property and it was wonderful. The house has been well maintained, handy for amenities, only seven minutes to and from the airport. We all have had a great time.

Clean, spacious and well-maintained home

The house is comfortable, spacious and light, and equipped with almost everything we needed for our group of 7 (3 adults, 4 kids). A small downside is that most of the bedrooms have no shelves or chest of drawers, although they do have closets. This is fine for a short stay, but for a longer stay, it's a little tricky figuring out where to put everything. We were lucky enough to be there during very warm weather, and the house does get quite hot, especially upstairs. There is one air-conditioning unit in the living room downstairs, but it didn't really do much to cool the upstairs bedrooms and the whole house got quite hot in the middle of the day. Other than those small issues, the house was perfect for our group. Communication with the property manager was fast and friendly, and they let us drop off our luggage early when we arrived sooner than anticipated. The washer and dryer are very useful. There's even an extra "sleep-out" room, attached to the garage but separate from the rest of the house. although we didn't use it. There is a small collection of shops literally next door, which was very useful for picking up milk, eggs, bakery items and Thai and Indian takeaway.

The configuration of the house was perfect for a large family gathering. While the house is a reasonably older one with a few drafts the fire more than compensated. We had a great short stay and this property would be perfect in summer for a Ionger family gathering. Thank you.

Loved this house! Perfect for our large group of 10. Great location with dairy, bottle store and Thai and Indian food available right next door. Riccarton Sunday Markets just around the corner too. Super comfy beds and loved the fire too. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely house.

Lovely house. Warms up quickly withe the heat pump and log burner in the lounge and plentiful supply of logs. Beds so warm and comfortable and showers powerful and plenty of hot water. Only 15 mins drive to CBD and 10 from airport. We would definitely want to stay here again and recommend it. Only downside is kitchen back door very draughty so kitchen quite cold.
