"Tonto Retreat" is nestled on over 4.5 acres against the picturesque backdrop of the Tonto Preserve. You will find comfort and luxury in this southwest style elegantly decorated home. Enjoy breathtaking mountain views from your expansive backyard. Bring your ATV's and toys to go explore the miles and miles of national forest the home is next to... Want to bike, hike or run? No where better to do it! A quiet relaxing retreat, yet just 20 minutes to downtown Cave Creek. Tonto Retreat is filled with fine art, fine furniture and fragile treasures. Please consider when booking with children.

The covered patio and double courtyards provide inviting outdoor spaces, which include a pool, hot tub and fire-pit. The property offers ample parking, including a 3-car garage and space for recreational toys and/or RV. Ping pong table in the garage and corn-hole boards available.

The home offers 4 bedrooms and 3 baths, comfortably accommodating 10 guests with the additional trundle bed in the office.

We loved our stay! Perfect for our family of six — very spacious, beautifully decorated, and extremely well-equipped. The location was quiet with stunning views, and we enjoyed the hot tub every night. A wonderful home base for exploring the area. Highly recommend!

Our stay was great! The privacy was the best part, but the hot tub was a close second. The house was gorgeous and pretty cozy considering how big it was. Location was good too, not far from Phoenix and about 1.5 hours from Sedona. I would highly recommend this "Desert Paradise".

The house was perfect! It had everything you could need for a vacation home.The location was unbelievable if you like to be away from crowded subdivisions and enjoy quiet evenings out by the fire.Hiking trails are literally just a walk around the corner which we took advantage of.Definitely a top stay on my list.

Stayed here for 5 days in end of January.Everything thing was welcoming at this home. The place had well appointed decor with a home like feeling!! The home was very clean and functional with plenty of room.We loved the fact that this place was away from the hustle and bussle.Stores and eats not close but is a very easy drive too. Being on the very north end of the valley, which made it an easy trip to Prescott and Sedona for us.Beautifully landscaped in very peaceful setting. Only setback is the option to have the pool heated. It was just my wife and I ,so not a concern. For a larger group coming from the midwest that would be a nice option. We would definitely book this property again.

Great place!

We loved staying here! The place is immaculate, super clean. Loved the decor. Wonderfully comfy. The home is perfect! The pool and hot tub are so fun! And the surroundings are breathtaking!!! It is in such an amazing location!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: WE LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS HOUSE! BEAUTIFUL INSIDE AND OUT! NOT CONVENIENT TO SHOPPING, DINING OR EXPERIENCES (EVERYTHING IS 20 MINUTES AWAY) BUT THAT'S WHAT WE LOVED ABOUT IT! IT WAS PEACEFUL AND SECLUDED. GREAT HIKING JUST OUT THE BACK DOOR IN THE TONTO NATIONAL FORREST. WE THOUGHT WE'D BE ABLE TO MOUNTAIN BIKE THERE TOO, BUT IT'S WAY TOO ROUGH WITH LARGE ROCKS ALL OVER THE PATH. WE ARE NOT ATV'ER'S, BUT IF YOU ARE, THIS IS A GREAT JUMPING OFF PLACE! JUST DRIVE 100 FEET DOWN THE ROAD TO THE ENTRANCE TO THE FORREST AND MILES OF ATV TRAILS! TOO COLD FOR THE POOL WHEN WE WERE THERE. WISH IT COULD HAVE BEEN HEATED. FIRE PIT IS GAS (EVEN THOUGH THEY SHOW WOOD IN THE PICTURES). WE WERE DISAPPOINTED IN THAT AT FIRST, BUT THIS WAS THE BEST GAS FIRE PIT WE'VE EVER EXPERIENCED! PUT OUT GREAT HEAT! WE ENJOYED COOKING AT HOME AND EATING OUTSIDE MOST NIGHTS. LOVED THE FIRE PIT IN THE MORNING WITH COFFEE ENJOYING THE QUIET OF THE DESERT. THE HOUSE ITSELF IS IMMACULATE AND THE ART INSIDE IS BEAUTIFUL AND FUN TO EXPLORE. HOT TUB WAS AWESOME BUT WISH IT FACED SUNSET. WE LOVED IT AND ARE ALREADY THINKING ABOUT BOOKING AGAIN NEXT YEAR!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very nice home. There are a number of different rooms and even separate outdoor spaces that allow individuals or smaller groups to gather. Sometimes houses that sleep 10 have limited dining space or crowded common spaces, but not so at the Tonto Retreat. We never felt cramped. The location is peaceful, and although it's 15 minutes from town, the drive isn't bad and it's worth it for the privacy and quiet. You can walk out behind the house into the Tonto Forest, where the ATV trails are quiet enough for strolling or hiking. Loved watching the birds and owl family. Kitchen has the needed appliances and dinnerware. If you like playing games, they are in the living room coffee table--we didn't notice that until we were leaving, but had brought our own anyway. I will note that there was an allegation of a mattress stain and missing sheets after we checked out, but after some discussion, Latitude 8 (management company) believed me that it wasn't us, and we did not get charged.
