I was so pleased when the booking was accepted! We had not seen our aging family for nearly two years so decided to meet half way.The layout of the house was exactly what we needed for our family of 8 to stay comfortably and for our physically challenged grandma to get around safely.The outside setting allowed everyone to eat meals together while enjoying the view of the water and sunset.I was a little disappointed as there was no compendium in the house with recommendations of great places to eat or amazing things to do. I also found it strange that there were 3 bathrooms but only 2 bathmats and that the master bedroom was the least visually appealing room of the 4 bedrooms. I personally prefer fluffy doonas regardless of the season but understand this isn't for everyone.Key collection and drop off was very easy and check in/out were at a good time to make the most of our time in Port Macquarie.I would have liked to have seen a few finer details such as mozzie coils or bug spray for outside in the evening or small soaps in the bathroom as 2 out of 3 bathrooms didn't have any hand wash.The kitchen was well stocked with cutlery and crockery as well as bbq and cooking utensils. We all loved that we could be using the kitchen but still engage in conversation with people sitting on the lounge or dining table. The fridge was huge which was also a great feature with the various dietary needs of family members. I must admit that I did spend a large amount of time on the private pontoon either fishing with the kids or drinking a glass of wine in the evening or a coffee first thing in the morning. I found the staff from Lifestyle holidays to be very cheerful and polite when providing arrival information and who to contact if there were any issues outside of business hours.I would definitely love to come and stay again and do all the things we didn't get to do in the Port Macquarie area.
