Extremely disappointing stay – poorly maintained and not as advertisedWe were really looking forward to our stay, but the experience fell far short of what was promised.The ceiling fan in the main bedroom didn’t work, and the pedestal fan provided was extremely dirty, rusty, and unusable. The oven fan was also very noisy and not functional. Several powerpoints and lights throughout the property didn’t work, which made using the home genuinely inconvenient.The overall presentation of the property was very poor. It was not properly cleaned and had spiderwebs throughout. The beds were small and uncomfortable, and one bed squeaked so loudly that even the slightest movement made it difficult to sleep.The environment around the property was also an issue. The neighbouring properties are very noisy, creating a loud and disruptive stay. There were limited flyscreens, meaning we couldn’t ventilate the house without letting insects in.The listing was also advertised as pet friendly, but the reality was the opposite. Not only did neighbours frequently complain about even minor dog noise, but we later discovered a rule buried in the terms and conditions stating pets cannot be left unattended at the property for more than 30 minutes. This was not clearly disclosed on the listing and makes the property highly impractical for anyone travelling with pets.Overall, the property felt poorly maintained, misrepresented, and not suitable for a relaxing holiday.
